The problem his chakra pool has is that the sharingan isn't natural to him cause he isn't an uchiha, so he can't deactivate it and it costs a bit more chakra, that's why he covers it. Still yep, considering this weakness he is skilled enough to make it seem like it doesn't hinder him too much.

I hate how thin they gradually made kakashi look. His first introduction was fine and they should have stuck with it. They made things too cartoon -like. Yes, I know it is an anime but, for instance, the Zabuza arc had better graphics and the characters seemed more solid and realistic.
