Another 8x8, another start placing 2 & 4 on r1. Tandem segments are important here, especially c1 c2 c8 as seen via r2 & r7. See end note.
The left side gimme 1-2 chain helps restrict the 2s in c1 upper. Then right side tandem segments r4 r5 r6 r8 resolve quickly leading to r7 resolving as well. The south finishes and we’re done.

Tandem segments are parallel, see each other, have a common range, & tend to solve together, jumping in between.
As these are structural, you can plan for them and remember to check how they affect each other.

Was it the 23 pair on r3 or something else?
The split looks like 40% got the r3 thing soon, 20% struggled a few minutes and got it, and 40% struggled longer.
