10:51 I agree, THAT specific part with the bounce took me longer than I thought it would take, but other than that, the level was great, and mario wonder is still a masterpiece (Btw, the last medal you get it by buying all the standees)
This was definitely my favorite playthrough of Wonder to watch. Seeing someone as happy at everything the game had to offer as I did was awesome to watch.
Yes, this, so much this Brent's pure joy throughout this entire playthrough was just so freaking contagious, I can't remember a single moment throughout the entire thing where I wasn't smiling (well, smiling _or_ laughing, this dude's absolutely hilarious lmao)
This was by far my favorite Wonder playthrough to watch through, it's bittersweet to see it come to an end. Your reactions to everything were priceless, the pure joy in every single video you put out was just absolutely amazing. It was a very nice (and sometimes very much needed) breath of air compared to how negative the internet can often get Keep doing what you do, dude, it genuinely does make people's days better
I think I get why this game is so great. It took a step back & looked at its roots. What was one of the first things that made Mario stand out as a platformer? 1-1's hidden 1-Up block. That feeling of amazement when you stumble into it by complete accident. The *_wonder_* of that moment. And this game takes every opportunity to recreate that moment at every turn by giving you those jaw dropping moments through the Wonder Flowers.
Can't believe he passed the Badge Marathon that quickly, i died like 90 times and i missed the top of the flag, my second time missed AGAIN, then the third i got the Wonderful Flag. I take my hat off for you, Brent, you are indeed the King of Skill
Watching Brent play this game with a child like sense of wonder (lol) and amazement was so good to watch ❤ Also watching him breeze through the last two special stages had me feeling like his tearful piplup image
Have to say this has shot up as one of my favorite Mario games. Losing only to sunshine and galaxy in my book. That final level ate 50 of my lives though. The non stop jumping challenge killed me the most
I find that constantly doing midair twirls eliminates most of the challenge with the invisibility badge because the little swirls that appear around your character are still visible
I loved this game to death, its such a fresh take on 2D Mario after Mario U dropped the ball in terms of creativity... I really hope Nintendo keeps up this kind of creativity in their future installments!
*activates wonder flower effect in dangerous donut ride* "TEARS OF THE KINGDOM!!!" *gets to dragon part in solar roller* "TEARS OF THE KINGDOM AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!"
This series convinced me to get the game, I absolutely enjoyed it from start till end. Only complaint is the boss fights being a bit less challenging than what I’d like (namely the airships being the same easy thing with minor alterations), but they’re such a minor aspect compared to the regular levels that it’s no big deal. I love the fact that this game has some levels that genuinely tested your skills though, it makes it more appealing to people who’ve played playformers before.
The first video in this playthrough inspired me to get the game myself and I would play through a world then watch you playthrough it, this is one of those special game where I think the game gets even better when you go for 100% completion
Man, really love Brent's reaction and how much he enjoyed the game, it's been a fun watch for sure! P.S. I wonder how Brent's reaction was with King Boo's opera since he missed the secret level last time lol
The fact that I’ve beaten most of this game as Peach, gave Daisy some chances in the spotlight, forced myself to use Toad in that one Break Time level with the elephant power in Deep Magma Bog, and only played two 5-star levels as Yoshi. You were right, Brent. This game is absolutely amazing!
Ohmigosh! King of skill indeed and yes, definitely a smile to my face as I could hear the enjoyment. I like to think that this is what the creators imagine when they think of the entertainment they bring to the players. Kudos!! I’ll never finish it, I’m an older gamer, reflexes aren’t what they used to be and I was never that skilled to begin with (lolz). That said, I absolutely LOVE watching others who are so so good at it. Great video, I’ll be watching your play through!
Man Super Mario Bros Wonder truly felt like a new beginning for the 2-D Mario platform genre! I’m so hopeful for future releases with similar quality to this game!
I ended up doing the final badge challenge online. not because I wanted the help, but simply because I wanted to do it with the other ghost players (I ended up really enjoying the feature, seeing everyone running around and completing levels with them). ended up finishing with a Nabbit, a Blue Yoshi, and a Luigi, with me as Mario. Not exactly the expected team up but we pushed through together and made it all work. Me and the Nabbit ended up waiting a while at the end of the last segment for the other two, since the Blue Yoshi was struggling with it a lot. I was tempted to go on ahead but I stuck it out and, eventually, we all hit the flagpole together.
-When you first encounter the invisibility and bounce badges: "Heh, kinda amusing but more annoying than anything." -By the time you beat the Final Final Test: "WHAT SADIST THOUGHT THESE BADGES WERE A GOOD IDEA!?" Congrats on completing Wonder to 100%!
The last badge level took me a LONG time. Roughly 2 and a half hours because I missed the top of the flagpole… twice in a row because you can’t see how low you are to the top of the pole. That was torture.
When I first played the badge marathon, I got careless at the end, and missed the top of the flagpole, it was the worst experience ever but I managed to beat the level again and get the flag.
“You’re so un-athletic as a Goomba! No wonder Mario beats you easily!” On the other hand, this makes Goombas like Goombario and Goombella all the more special. Their abilities make them unlike any other Goomba before or after them.
Nooooonononononono you don't expect me to believe you got through the invisibility section on the FIRST TRY! That part alone took me an HOUR. ...I'm mad.
Wasn’t sure why at first, but I felt like buying the 99 1Ups before I did the Final Final Test. While I was playing the level, I am SO thankful I decided to do that beforehand!
The sound off badge doesn't distort the sound. It replaces the sound effects like jumping into these acapella noises. Like, the devs are making the sounds themselves.
That last level hurt me on a spiritual level, I spent 2 hours trying to beat it for the first time. But I missed the top so I spent another 2 trying to beat it again
If anyone here is wondering where the Mushroom went in the middle of his run of the very last level, he was stuck on the Spring Badge section for a while. Everyone in the chat (me too, I confess) brought up the Mushroom he had as a sort of backup, although one user in particular was being incredibly obnoxious, so Brent banned them. In an act of spite, Brent used the Mushroom and deliberately killed Luigi, so there was no more Mushroom. Based.
Theres a sixth medal you can earn if you buy all the standees, but since the flower coin count is capped at 999, you have to farm purple coins to buy them all.
The final challenge took me over an hour to beat, as frustrating as it got when I made mistakes and had to get back to certain spots it was so amazing making it to the end. The challenge was nice and it’s smart having a final level force you to use certain badges. What you get for completing everything tho… man is it a joke. I didn’t know how to react when I got the final badge. Anyways love this game so much, definitely my favourite Mario game. Hope people don’t overhype Super Mario RPG… looking forward to playing through it the first time even tho I know a lot about the game already. Really enjoyed watching your experience with the game. 💫

Hey Brent, just thought I’d let you know in case you haven’t yet. you need to get all the different standees for one last metal. Then you 100% the game.
He said it already that this is the one he will not show, since he completely ignored the Standees and going through levels with Coin Magnet on is not a fun watch.
Man, the final final level took me 2 solid hours and a game over to do. I went in with 34 lives and after buying 99 I had 86. That's with collecting all the coins and getting one ups. The spring and invisible parts are what killed me the most. I couldn't imagine doing this level with more than one person.
Its sound off, like a call out demanding a response. Its the sound team's voice recordings that were used to make all the new sound effects, as the familiar mario noises we're used to have been completely replaced with percussion and string instruments
When I got to the badge marathon it took me 57 attempts cuz of the bounce badge and the invisibility badge. I went from 99 lives to 42 by the end of the course but man did I love this game something new for Mario and the gang and different the wonder flowers would surprise me with what I had to do/become never enjoyed a Mario game since Odyssey.
I will actually mention that I cleared the final final test badge marathon with Yoshi cause taking damage isn’t something I can handle, and got all the purple coins plus the top of the flagpole. It took me about over 120 tries before I could get there tho. Afterwards, I went back with Nabbit and made it all the way through the level with relatively little effort due to how Nabbit has super armor invincibility. That is, until the invisibility level came in and pwned me. Still, if you’re still having trouble with this level, I’d recommend that you use Nabbit, because being unflinching to damage has its benefits in this stage of the game.
After watching Nick beat the last level, I'd love to love to see him react to this. Super Mario Wonder is probably the best Super Mario Bros game in a while. Really fun to play.
