William Stryker is very similar to Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Also, he's pure evil. And funny seeing both William Strykers (The X2 one and the X-Men: Origins: Wolverine one) in Succession. And Logan Roy and Logan the Wolverine, lol.
I think it's a mistake not to mention the Stryker introduced in X2 appears to take a lot of influence from Ultimate John Wraith from Ultimate X-Men "Return to Weapon X" arc the X2 movie borrows a lot from that arc
So one of the people who invented these sentinels is also one of the people who was in the game of thrones at least he could connect the game of thrones to the X-Men

His true origins are in the graphic novel "God loves, Man kills" and they never got him right in the movies. They used that graphic novel as source material for X-2 and got everything wrong. For one he killed his baby after his wife went into labor after their jeep crashed in the middle of a desert but in the movie he had a son. He didn't start the weapon X program either. He did start the group called "The Purifiers" who he had track down mutants and killed them. That's why X-2 is the worst comic book movie IMO outside of Spawn.

I think none of the X-Men movies is good because Wolverine didn't wear his yellow costume in any of the movies.
It's just a different universe just like a comic. Spider man 3 was pretty bad. Spawn needed more than one movie

X2 is amazing. A more accurate Stryker wouldn't have worked back then because it would have received huge backlash from religious people.
