ChargePoint has a strong presence in Michigan, and they are easily my preferred network because I can count on the equipment being not only operational but hassle free as well. In fact, I'll go out of my way to use their stations rather than roll the dice with other providers. Keep up the great work, ChargePoint!
BTW, your work is exemplary as well, Francie. Maybe Kyle could have you drive a Porsche once the Vinfast lease is up? 👍

Ordered a Home Flex a three months ago and I can attest it’s a great, reliable product. I don’t know why the company’s stock is doing so poorly!

I'm glad to see Chargepoint on the channel. They're in a lot of places around me in Colorado Springs, CO. They're very reliable & they don't put a hold on your card like Rivian & EV Connect do. And now the partnership with LG! I'm thrilled that I bought some more Chargepoint stock through Chase earlier today.

So they won't be using LG WebOS as part of their software? Now, if LG can with their TVs see the progress using their home charging equipment, that'll be cool. I think my local Toyota dealership have a chargepoint station on their lot.

I see benefits for fleets, but not much for single family home charging unless you have solar. A couple of years ago I looked into ChargePoint pricing for commercial units at HOAs capable of multiple accounts and credit card billing, but their cost of ownership with software, processing, and hardware fees was more than double the competition.
I’m finding municipalities don’t want to be involved in EV charging, but rather lease parking spaces to an operator who will install & manage everything at zero cost to city.

What is going on with big city charging, particularly the next 100k level 2 chargers getting installed for people who don't own their homes.

Exactly. My landlord wont even reply to my email even when i offered to pay for installation.

@@doodlebug1820 In some places in europe, if you buy an EV and there isn't a charger within a certain distance, they install one. I don't remember the details. I suspect here, it will end up a slower market forces combined with a little government support approach, but EVs are perfect for cities. They reduce pollution where a concentration of people are breathing, and they are very efficient at slow speed in stop and go traffic, not to mention torquey, and quiet, and 1 pedal driving.

Considering the ChargePoint share price, It makes me wonder if this partnership is really just ChargePoint doing what ever it can to stay in business. Or perhaps LG Just absorbing ChargePoint for pennies on the dollar. At the end of the day, this interview didnt really tell us anything.... Not even when the new LG Chargers would rolled out and where they are going.

    • @DunkBoi

Rich mentioned it already, ChargePoint is a software company. Working with a hardware manufacturer as large as LG is huge for ChargePoint. It's also huge for LG since ChargePoint will be able to use its sales team to sell LG stations (and CP software) to the pool of existing and new customers ChargePoint already has.

@@DunkBoi I hope your right... but we did drop to 1.29 a share in the same week as the partnership was announced. A gap in strength........two words... Share Price.
