I didn’t make it to flock this year but loving everyone’s wrap ups. I purchased similar yarn last year at flock for the easy vee. I cast mine on last year but didn’t get too far, I’ll be watching you for inspiration/motivation!❤
Hi Whitney! I'm Allison, I met you at Botanical Yarns. I was super awkward too so no worries! It was great to meet you for a second. I'm glad you enjoyed Flock, it was a great weekend!
You were absolutely fine, I'm sorry I didn't know what to do- hahahaha! Thank you for saying hi, I'll be better at this next year. I hope you had fun and got some good stuff!
i just made the camisole no 9 in cotton merino and it is SO PRECIOUS. I used the strawberry ice cream color, but it was so fun to make despite being all stockinette because of the edges. Can't wait to see your progress!!
It was so nice to meet you at Flock!!!! Heather, Erika and I had a little porch knit sesh today and were talking about how much fun we had with y'all. Excited to keep up with you on your channel.
It was the best weekend! Thankful for online communities where we can stay in touch (and see what everyone’s making). I’ve heard so many people knit sheep camp as their first color work so I’m excited to try it
Omg, thank you for your kind words and compliments 🥰It was so fun to meet you and your old and new besties!! I knit the Claire Vest in Sandnes Garn Tynn Line plus Knitpicks Alpaca Lace. It's a wonderful pattern. I will definitely make another one. I love your colour combo for the Sheep Camp sweater! Very much my vibe. I realized later after the rooftop event that I should have told you a little story. I sent you a message on instagram but looks like you haven't seen it yet.
Just found your channel and have to say you are delightful! Not sure why you never popped up on the recommended feed before this but I intend on watching the past episodes too. Happy creative endeavors.
I agree the people were the best part. I went on Sunday and it was apparently much quieter that day. It was so nice to be able to just chat with the dyers. I talked for a long time with the owner of Juni and Si because it turns out she lives ten minutes from me. The dyer for Thought to Thread was absolutely lovely and the one yarn base I was on the hunt for.
@@whitmakes she’s my absolute favorite. If you love fun surprises I cannot speak highly enough of her monthly subscription. No idea what I’ll make but obsessed with her color work
I struggle with fiber festivals because of how much it costs for me to get there and pay for lodging etc and then think of how much yarn I can buy with that money instead :) Sheep camp was my first stranded color work sweater and I love it and am thinking of doing a second one this winter with some leftover Spincycle. Also: I knit with KfO silk and cotton merino this past summer and I definitely like the cotton merino a lot better. Glad you had a great time!!
Oh I love to hear this about your experience with that pattern and those yarns! Yes, traveling to an event is an expense for sure and also just getting everything in order with three kids so I can leave is a lot of work too. I do think seeing the yarn in person I made much more informed choices! But yea, I would love to go again but it depends on a lot of variables for sure
Hi Whitney! I’m watching some of your older videos too. I have a knitting RUclips channel as well…although I’m a fairly new knitter. I’musing Santolina yarn in a tee project I have to frog, but I’m wondering if you still have the peachy pink Santolina and are still interested in destashing?

Oh my, your color choices are fabulous for all the patterns.
Thank you!!

Oh this makes me excited to hear!
The best part of the online knitting space is def the community! Love the colors you picked for your easy V 😍
Everyone says that but it really is true! I didn’t believe them but everyone is just happy to be together and share

It took me a minute to find it! You’re so kind ❤️
Loved hearing about your trip. I really wanted to go, so this was the next best thing. ❤
this is how I feel when people do Rhinebeck updates! Nice to get a feel for the festival. Hopefully you can go next time!

Yes my friend and I were discussing that next year we would try to go both days so we could really look around and talk to people.
Superglo has the roan preorder under 8/16! That is one I can’t wait to get my hands on. She’s my favorite, her yarn is so loud and fun.
It was so beautiful in person!!! Happy to have a new dyer to follow

👋👋👋 heard your shout-out! We had so much fun!!!
The reentry into real life has been tough! No ones talking yarn over here!

Love this video and your vibe :) New sub
Thanks! Glad you’re here!
Good morning Whitney. Sounds like you had a wonderful time at the festival. Can you tell me about the top you are wearing? It's so cute.
Suzanne
Well I guess I forgot to mention my merch this time around! I bought the sweatshirt and the tote bag with the flock fest logo on it!
