happy black panther wakanda forever premiere day!
i thought this would be a great opportunity to do a black panther humor now that the franchise has got a second movie. if you've watched black panther wakanda forever please let me know what you thought of it but of course spoiler free so that everyone gets to enjoy it as well. besides all of that, i would like to take the chance to pay tribute to chadwick and his legacy. chadwick passed away due to complications related to colon cancer two years ago. during his lifetime, he supported several charities, including a cancer charity known as the 'St. Jude Children's Research Hospital'. i don't want to force anyone to donate money but if you are able to and are considering to donate to an organisation please consider the following below. the first one is the same chadwick donated to, and the second one is the biggest charity for colon cancer.

Me too. The scene in which the Queen dies while she screams in grief made me so sad, because watching Shuri in the other movies, you would never think she could cry like that. It was unsettling. It was then that I knew that the old Shuri was gone. And while the new Shuri is terrific, I will still miss her constant humor.

When Shuri raised her hand to fight T’challa, I was like “That’s how you know they’re brother and sister”😂

The comedy here is different because it’s not quipping or forced humor, it’s mostly just natural dialogue expressed by characters. Shuri and T’Challa’s sibling love is probably one of my favorite things in all of the MCU.

“I made it rain!” Klaue was one of the most chaotic MCU Villains, what an absolute icon

Shame he wasn’t given more screen time. Don’t get me wrong, I like Killmonger as a villain. But Klaue has the best aspects of a mustache twirler, he’s evil for no real reason but still an actual threat. He’s not the best villain in the MCU overall, that title is on Thanos for the foreseeable future. But he’s definitely one of the better human villains.

Most Marvel films happen in America with American characters, so the ones that don't tend to stand out more, at least in my opinion. The Guardians, Thor, Black Widow, Shang Chi and Black Panther all were so refreshing to me, because I was so tired of seeing the big city
I definitely missed T’Challa and Shuri’s banter in Wakanda Forever, they were so funny 😭

2:59 never an unfunny moment with Stan, I remember the audience would always burst out laughing when he made his cameos, and then cheer for the man. Rest In Peace Stan.

When rewatching Civil War, Black Panther, Infinity War, and Endgame for BP: Wakanda Forever, it just reminded me how amazing Chadwick was as this character, how no one else could’ve played T’Challa, and I respected their decision to not recast him even more 😢
I mean I fully believe the guy who's playing blade would've probably been another great choice for t'challa I definitely agree with not recasting him after the fact.

I love Ryan Coogler's form of humour, it doesn't feel forced at all and it comes of as actually funny and not corny. Carried over to Wakanda Forever too, it fit the tone of the movie.
Taika waititi needs to learn how to balance action and humour properly from James gunn and Ryan coogler

I saw the new movie and it was amazing. A fitting tribute to Chadwick Boseman while also a great movie in its own right. Also the end credits scene was so surprising my jaw hit the floor, I definitely never saw that coming.

Cancer is the ultimate supervillain, and I’m being completely un-ironic; it’s ruthless, shifty, and utterly indiscriminate. It can be very hard to see and you can’t negotiate or reason with it. It took my mother, at least one aunt, and put a close colleague through the wringer. Truth may be stranger/more terrifying than fiction sometimes, but that doesn’t make it any easier to accept.
