- One of the highest performing lines in DV8's history gets a serious boost with the Cohesion additive into the coverstock! This additive was exclusive to the Hammer Effect and now we finally see it in another brand. Let's see how this shiny solid asym does!

With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based from the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

Brutal has been one of my favs since I got it. It's a monster in Vegas when I go to sweeps. Was thinking about getting another one so I could put a more dynamic layout on it. This is perfect timing.
It seems like it can play either side of the lanes but struggles in the middle without attacking the surface. Right side looks like a solid but the left looked more like a pearl.
Can't wait for you to throw Scorpion Strike.

Great video....although I kept encouraging you to hit it with surface. I really hope you do a video or a reel/short where you knock the shine off of it because, like you, I don't match up with shiny balls all that well. I need that midlane dig so I think seeing it with a little surface with turn it into a monster.

Nick, Leaving the Solid 8 Pin means the Bowling Ball is Excellent ball. The Worst Split I left was the Pocket 8-9 ! I was so Shocked, I got rid of that Bowling Ball. Have you ever left a Pocket 8-9 Split ? Very hard to do. Paul Las Vegas

Where are you located and do you give lessons? I really respect your knowledge and expertise and want to improve my chances of getting at least one 300 game before I can’t bowl well enough to have any chance of getting a 300. I just turned 68, and I threw a 280 during practice a few months ago, plus started the next game with two strikes, for a total of 12 strikes in a row.
I’m in west MI but sorry, my lesson giving days are behind me. Keep practicing, you’ll string together 12 in one game soon enough. 👍🏻
Aloha Nick, I have gone to Sarge Easter following your video with much success. {32} weeks later, no arthritic pain in my wrist area below my thumb. Watching all the asym ball videos. Being low speed, low rev senior player my pin down layout always puts the ring finger near the ring finger hole. Need your expert advice in solving this problem.
With DOT, you don’t have to worry about where the pin goes. This ball has DOT. In balls that don’t have it, just make sure you drill the pin out completely and center with the ring finger if it’s close. It may take a small adjustment to the layout
Nick, value your opinion. I'm a balanced stroker (med speed/revs/lower axis tilt, etc.) trying to decide between the Wicked and the Ultimate Defender for fresh oil THS that is fairly close to your pattern. Thanks in advance for any input!

Which is stronger and/or recommended by you overall. This or the Hater. I am a 2 hander throwing 16-17mph with decent rev rate but nothing crazy. Sometimes I feel like im too fast where my crimson jackal (a pearl) cannot grab in time and goes straighter which complicates matters in heavy oil
Hater is the stronger core with earlier cover. If the surfaces were equal, the Hater would start up sooner. Sounds like that’s more what you need. Keep the surface tuned. 👍🏻

The Mesmerize and Vaporize will have it in August. It’s going to be a premium performance additive.
Do you think hammer will release a black widow not urethane?
Hard to say. Maybe?
As a slower speed more rev dominant bowler would you say I would benefit by leaving the ball shiny?
I would yes. Length will be your friend.

Hey, Nick, not sure if you’re a fan of the old school _Dragon Ball Z_ series, but I wanted to use a more unique comparison between the two shiny solid Collisions with HK22.
If the Brutal Collision is your base-level Super Saiyan, then would the Wicked Collision be a Super Saiyan 2?
