I see you are demonstrating the capabilities of the tool on a rather small map. How it will work on a larger map (e.g. like the size of the GTA III world map) ? It goes without saying that the navmesh for a large map should be loaded in chunks, because it might be to large to be loaded in memory at once. Does the tool support the ability to work with chunks?
Hi, that's a very good question. A customer of the NPC Populator requested that feature, and I created a slightly modified version for him that would allow the Waypoint Assistant Tool to work on a selected rectangular region at a time. (The coordinates of each region need to be manually entered in the Inspector.) If this is of general interest, I could release that in a new patch version of the NPC Populator. Or if anyone who already has the NPC Populator would like it, I could email the small script changes.
