    I remember seeing this at the time (I was only 11 years old and a massive Dr Who fan). t inspired me to buld my own cardboard model of K-9. I stuck a radio-controlled car in the base aand was able to get it to move around. I was always interested in electronics. Fond memories!

      Cool story and fun idea :) I used to open up all my toys that stopped working and tinker with the electronics.

    One of the robots has a Star Wars Stormtrooper head, and I love R2D2 as he was rising into fame, as Star Wars came out 2 years prior.

      @@dwiggins1 I think the wind up toys were really cheap, they used to be a casual present to shut me up in the market lol

    Why was TV so much better back then its all rubbish today

    • @madcommodore
      @madcommodore  4 года назад +3

      Because TV used to attempt to entertain us and not make a loss instead of trying to make businessmen/shareholders massively rich regardless of quality/diversity/originality of programs aired :)

      oh yeah and because toys like the little Tomy wind-up toy which could be pumped out for poundshops tomorrow don't exist in the shops let alone a full size K-9 with Sony AIBO robo-dog levels of interaction which is totally possible but impossible due to copyright and licensing crazy world of today.
