This is one of the best ways Lex's worldview is laid out.
The fact general lane old friend is really toy man because 🐻 is 💣
Honestly, Lois is better off without her Dad. She didn't need a trainer, she needed a father, and he was too stupid to realize or even BE that.
Exactly
This episode was rough for Superman, and it didn't even start off that way. Jimmy was invited to the S.T.A.R labs symposium, and Clark goes with him. Clark is once again unable to communicate with Lois about finding Kara. Lois has to deal with her own issues with her father while trying to protect him from Task Force X. It seems like Lucy Lane doesn't exist in this universe since Lois was alone growing up. To make things worse, Lex and Jimmy have a debate on Superman, which Lex clearly wins. This version of Lex may not be bald, but he clearly acts like Lex when it comes to Lex Luthor's disdain and cynicism towards Superman. Also, apparently we have confirmation that Superman being an alien is public knowledge. I was surprised that Winslow Schott aka Toyman showed up. He was an informat for Sam who betrayed him to Task Force X. Even when Superman was helping to protect Sam and Lois, Lex finds a way to use the situation to his advantage without knowing the entire situation. Lex convinced the people in the symposium to turn against Superman, showing how fickle people are. To make it worse, Lex makes it clear that Jimmy is responsible for inspiring him towards his path, which Superman is aware of, which makes Jimmy leave in shame. Plus, when Superman wants to talk to Lois, he overhears Sam talking about Clark being off, and he doesn't even get a chance to hear Lois defend him before flying off. The final straw was when Lois has to cancel meeting up with Clark because of Sam. Clark really needed to talk to her, but Lois canceling on him made Clark feel so alone, that he activated the beacon hoping that Kara will come to him and fill the void. Lois also has to deal with Sam leaving at the end of the episode. I understand that he did it to protect Lois, considering what currently happened with Task Force X, but it still has negative repercussions. Clark's decision to activate the beacon may have also have negative repercussions, as it led the kryptonian warrior to Earth. I'm not sure that the kryptonian warrior is Kara, but it's certainly a possibility. Either way, Kara is coming in the next episode. This episode ended on a bittersweet note for Clark, Lois, and Jimmy, but it was a good episode. I honestly hope that Kara becomes Supergirl and joins with Clark.
I hope when Superman tells Lois about the Beacon and Kara, she doesn't try to give him the business or turn this on him about going ahead without talking it over, since she had multiple opportunities to talk it over, and each time, Lois ghosted Clark for her Dad who has made it clear he's not going to stay 'cause the mission, to him, comes first. She stuck her Dad with Clark without discussing it when this could've put a target on both him and Jimmy. Not to mention, Lois is considering moving to Gotham for her career without telling Clark. When Lois canceled meeting Clark at the Daily Planet, I almost screamed, "YOU IDIOT!!" Clark has put her needs ahead of his own again and again, and it's resulted in him feeling more alone than before he told Lois he was Superman.
She definitely is going to…become supergirl
The problem with Lex’s logic is while it’s all well and good created a failsafe just in case Superman goes rogue, to actively antagonise him and try to preemptively eliminate him only creates collateral damage and costs the earth a valuable asset.
It didn't even connect with me that was supposed to be Toyman 😂
Me either lol
@@TruthSeeker23099 glad to know I'm not the only one 😂😂
@@naruto0076 it’s probably because everything…in this show is so extra…that an exploding bear seems normal lol
@@TruthSeeker23099 true 😂😂
Welp. There goes my take on Toyman in this show.
You know, one of the things that's really starting to bug me about this Season is that there seems to be this sweeping epidemic of selective amnesia going on. I mean, never mind the fact that we've got Jimmy giving motivational speeches to Lex, even though Lex had made it PERFECTLY CLEAR last Season what kind of a person he was. Never mind the fact that Vickie Vale is giving Lois a job offer and Lois suddenly finds herself getting all starry-eyed again and actually CONSIDERING it, even though Vickie made it PERFECTLY CLEAR last Season what kind of "journalism" she practices and that she has no qualms about using people up and throwing them away, so long as it gets her what SHE wants. But now, we've got that whole Superman debate in this episode. Yeah, okay, it was an ambush, but the second he saw Lex, Jimmy HAD TO know perfectly well that he was coming out there with an axe to grind. He could have shut Lex down at any point, but instead, we get Jimmy just standing there like a deer in the headlights because all that information he had just LEFT him for some reason and he couldn't form an argument.
I mean, what the hell, people? Last Season, everyone was growing on some level, and this Season, they're all just falling ass-backwards because they've completely forgotten everything they've learned. Lois has even forgotten a literal lifetime of lessons that she had to learn about her father the hard way...that he is absolutely NEVER going to tell her that he loves her or that he never got over her mother's death, because he's been "The General" for so long that he sees weakness everywhere, so he can't bear to show ANY kind of vulnerability...and that NOTHING she does is EVER going to just magically change that because this is a mindset only HE can break HIMSELF out of.
At least, that's just MY thinking on it.
(Oh, and also, if it wasn't clear before in the Season Premiere, I think we all get NOW that the Kryptonian in the armor is actually Kara, not Zod as many of us originally believed. Because the show is obviously doing this whole "Masters of the Universe" "Hordak/She-Ra" thing, where the big twist reveal is going to be that Braniac intercepted Kara's ship as it was leaving Krypton and that he's basically spent her entire life just gaslighting her. Actually, that suit she's wearing kind of looks a little like Horde Trooper armor, too, now that I think about it. Anyway, I just thought it was something worth mentioning.)
This episode was so heartbreaking and I feel sorry for Clark aka Superman because he feels so alone and I have a bad feeling that after contacting Kara, the real threat starts to emerge. I still liked the episode tho. Can't wait to see Kara in the next episode 😁 Gonna be so good!! 👍👍
After Transformers prime, can you do static shock?
4:32 love the look of frustration. Also, kind of reminded of when Suletta got tricked into being effectively put on trial at a tech expo in Witch From Mercury.
We saw the what if with Brightburn right
Nice to see Toyman included in the fun. Or at least his old man.
Or it could be an android. He's had robotic doppelgangers in the comics.
Good episode but “Can we trust Superman “ feels like we just did this. Him convincing Lois and her dad last season, saying to Ivo “is it really so hard to believe some people just want to help.”
3:30 that kinda reminds me of that police riot shield Cisco modified way back on Season 1 of The Flash to deal with Captain Cold and Heatwave's guns.
One of the best siblings sets are lois and Lucy lane 😡
The villains in this show are pretty lackluster. Hopefully, it improves later on.
