Superbrainiac (name coined by designer) has to be one of the BEST evil Superman designs I have ever seen. I mean I’m a sucker for black and red but the whole design is just mwah 😙👌
Back in season 1, the memory of Jor-El referred to Kryptonite as the poison gem meaning it was probably before the Fall and it doesn’t just affect Kryptonians but their tech as well and just being exposed to it causes immediate crystallization. Brainiac likely developed the shielding after experimenting on the shard he obtained after ejecting Lois, Jimmy, and Kara. In short, this iteration of Kryptonite is extremely more potent than last versions.

I *cheered* when Steve's "Nah!" line came back in such a triumphant way. I love call-backs and meaningful echoes like no other. Also, I noticed it with Lois and Jimmy two episodes ago, but it sticks out more now that it also applies to Lex & Waller- how do the Earth-based characters know what Kryptonite is called? Lois & Jimmy hadn't heard Krypton's name until *after* they mentioned Kryptonite by name, and Lex & Waller only heard it from Brainiac mere minutes before mentioning Kryptonite by name (and the way they do so suggests they didn't just coin it on the spot). Clark knew by then, but Jimmy is the first of the Earth-based characters to mention Kryptonite by name and he clearly wasn't told about Clark's origins since he still thinks Clark was originally sent to Earth to spearhead an invasion.
So when Brainiac sucked Kara, Lois and Jimmy out into space, Jimmy dropped the(I’m assuming lead)container that shielded the Kryptonite and Brainiac took it and used it to upgrade himself.

Just a theory, but I think Brainiac was able to make this seemingly convenient asspull of a Kryptonite Shielding from the Kryptonite capsule Jimmy dropped. Remember in the previous episode how the camera focused on Brainiac picking up the capsule containing the Kryptonite. AND, notice how the capsule is color white. And so is the Kryptonite Shielding. I just wish they weren’t rushed with the 22 minute runtime, they could have explained that is how Brainiac made the new Shielding. Even a little line “I didn’t think I’d have to use this so soon…!” while he’s holding the capsule trapping the Kryptonite.
Jor El knew about kryptonite so it’s safe to assume that it existed prior to Krypton’s destruction, it probably was some kind of naturally occurring substance like uranium. As for Kryptonians having powers on their homeworld, after rewatching the flashbacks it’s shown that Krypton’s sun was originally yellow before being turned red by a purple energy, the same purple energy that formed a very familiar beam pattern 🤔
It honestly makes no sense for Krypton to have a yellow sun when a red sun neutralizes a kryptonian's powers. Even if Brainiac explained that kryptonians were genetically designed in this universe, it still wouldn't make sense for kryptonians to have powers determined by whether the sun is yellow or red. The usual reason why kryptonians don't have powers under a red sun yet have powers under a yellow sun is because of how they've evolved naturally over time as krypton's sun naturally became red. It just makes more sense for krypton to have a natural red sun for it to neutralize kryptonians rather than it be naturally yellow for it to make no sense as to why a red sun would kryptonians in this universe.
@@StareachValcinthere are multiple reasons why Kryptonians evolved their powers in the comics, the red sun is just one explanation, other factors would be the harsh environment of ancient Krypton and as was brought up in this show genetic engineering. And even then it’s a non-factor given that there are other races that draw power from the yellow sun that don’t have a native red sun in the comics. The general reason why a red sun weakens Kryptonians is either because it doesn’t supply enough energy compared to a yellow sun or that the energy just isn’t the right kind of “fuel” for their powers, the comics are fairly inconsistent on this, but generally different coloured suns have different effects on Kryptonians with little consistent logic. Also it’s worth noting that Kryptonians had their powers on their homeworld way back in the golden age continuity, so the idea that Kryptonians having their powers on Krypton isn’t a new idea.
@@StareachValcin What? Why would it make more sense for Kryptoniansto naturally evolve to have powers that only occur under a yellow sun if their existing sun was red? That's like, the opposite of how natural selection works.
@@StareachValcin Yeah in DC’s Earth 2, Kryptonians had powers on Krypton. Those versions were usually weaker than other Earth’s but it was still a thing. On Earth 3, Kryptonite gives Kryptonians powers. There’s explanations that can be made.
This shit ripped so hard dude! This episode got me to properly smile for the first time in like 2 days. Clark and Lois are THE power couple for really reals.
I love superhero shows that are completely earnest. They played that whole fight scene with Clark and Lois completely straight, a lesser show would have worried about being too cheesy.
Mr. Mxyzptlk *_did_* set things in motion by allowing Lois to get File X with the holograms of evil versions of Superman and the shard of Kryptonite inside 🤔😓.
Also, Clark and Lois fighting together in Brainiacs mindscape, seems to be a shout out to The Matrix 4. Especially when Lois asked Clark to "wake up" and references to "Glitch".
In this series, the powers that the Kryptonians have on Krypton are probably part of the memories that Brainiac gave Kara, they may not be real, also Kandor is the spacecraft and not a city on Krypton, apparently Kara's memories of Krypton were changed
Kryptonite in this particular universe seemed to pre-exist before krypton's and the kryptonian's destruction to Darkseid. Jor-el mentioned kryptonite at the end of season 1 so kryptonians before they became mostly dead knew about it, so either two possibilities Kryptonite like uranium was a possible power source that dlowly destroyed their planet or possibility 2 Krypton was slowly dying like climate change or a destabilized planetary core but there was time before the planet blew up and Kryptonite was a symptom of the planet's upcoming destruction and the kryptonians exploited it before the planet and themselves were destroyed.
16:23. I think it´s the orb Jimmy drop (before he, Lois and Kara suck out in space), that gave Braniac the technology too shield heself from kryptonite.
One other thing that the "Kryptonite shielding" got me thinking about is simply the matter of "why not use it from the beginning?" or "why isnt it the default shielding if thats the only weakness the Kryptonians have". I guess they needed like, one extra hurdle for the heroes to jump through
I will admit that I have mixed feelings for this episode. I think it's a good episode, but its biggest problem is pacing. I think that some plot lines were resolved too quickly. Lois' rescue of Clark from the black mercy I felt was resolved a little too quickly. Lois comes into the simulation with amnesia, and as soon as she touches Clark, her memory comes back. I even think that the way she explained things to Clark was a bit rushed. While there was a good moment where Clark had his doubts about Lois coming for him with Lois proving that she did by explaining how she worked with Livewire to steal a ship, I still think that the issue with the "break up" was resolved too quickly in this episode, even with the great callback to Lois learning that love isn't for cowards. Lois punching the simulation of Jor-El was a surprise, and it was nice to see Superman and Lois break out of the simulation together. I honestly think that Kara and Jimmy were handled a bit better. Of course, Amanda Waller and Lex Luthor have to mess everything up by capturing Jimmy, the unconscious Lois, and Kara with kryptonite. They were just setting Earth up to be taken over. Fortunately, people have shown that they aren't as bad as Waller and Luthor. Perry and Vicky actually work together against Waller and Luthor, and even Steve Lombard helps to save Kara, Jimmy, and the unconscious Lois. Kara was at a low point for a good portion of the episode because of how she was defeated by Brainiac in the previous episode, but both Jimmy and Steve gave her a good peptalk about how heroes are and that she has a choice in who she wants to be. I like that Kara chose to fight for Earth, not caring what the people think of her. She had been used by Brainiac to destroy worlds, but Kara chose to protect Earth. Kara put up a better fight against Brainiac this time. She definitely did better than Task Force X, who easily got beaten. The Metallo robots with kryptonite were definitely a hindrance to both Kara and Brainiac, but Amanda and Lex were just an annoying hindrance to the good guys. Their Metallo robots even got hacked by Brainiac, so with all their talk about protecting the planet, Lex and Amanda only aided in endangering Earth. Brainiac even had kryptonite protection, which isn't entirely a surprise since Jor-El's a.i. knew of kryptonite, not to mention Brainiac probably learned about it from Clark's memories and encountering it personally. So, Lex and Amanda fail predictably against Brainiac, leaving Earth's survival in the hands of 2 kryptonians, Superman and Kara. I like Superman's new suit, but he needs the red trunks back when this is over. Plus, there's still the matter of Kara getting her official Supergirl suit. It was awesome to see Kara protect Metropolis from Brainiac's first blast and to see Superman protect from the second. I like seeing Clark and Kara working together and their bond growing. They are the last chance for Earth against Brainiac, but thanks to the hacked Metallo robots, the kryptonians and the Earth are in danger of being destroyed. I can't wait for the season finale. Hopefully, Superman and Supergirl will find a way to stop Brainiac.
This was really the best episode of the show for me. Everything was so well executed. Clark has a new suit. The music was amazing. Season two has been so good that this might be my favorite Superman media so far.
This is a well thought out show, using the jornalistic elements of been reporters as a crux to navigate , makes sense , the title is my adventures with superman.....i rolled my eyes in earlier episodes at the idea that jimmy has a blog online, i didnt like it ....but damn i was proven wrong, its a master stroke of an idea. great show especially season 2, also like that kara isnt just female clark, shes more amazonian in her approach
I have an answer to the Kryptonite shielding. Remember that Jimmy left the Kryptonite orb that Mxyzptlk gave to Lois? Brainiac probably studied it and applied the same kind of shielding (probably lead lol) in case he encountered it again.
my bet next episode: superman gonna break into kandor, last desperation tap into that inner power and we may see them adapt his super flare which is his most devastating super power. imagine heat vision with heat vision is him expunging the solar cells in his body, super flare is pretty much like a solar flare. he expunge all the solar cells in his body to cause a aoe flare that can destroy//disintegrate things around him but that leaves him vulnerable with him weakened after it. that and good chance the ai of jor-el whats left of him at fortress of solitude is gonna sense brainiac and interfere with him giving a window ofr clark and kara to fight back.
I wish there had been new fearful memories to make the drama worth it like Clark having teen memories as an adoptee and Lois maybe losing her mom as it has been hinted. it would have elevated this episode. the fact that Steve’s dialogue hit more is telling of the rushed dramatic setup. I wonder if General Lane will come into the play in the last episode. I wonder if they will hint at the next villain perhaps Zodd and/or Darkseid.
This show is definitely doing it's own thing. Seems Kryptonians were genetically engineered to have powers. Kryptonite existed already. Seems Krypton had a yellow sun. Something hit their sun turned it red. Probably caused the fall of Krypton. My theory is that it was Darkseid. Jor-El mentioned they picked a fight with someone they couldn't conquer and got wiped out. Brainiac being an AI survived and blamed Kryptonian society turning soft and weak as the reason for the loss. The Kryptonite shielding is probably what that capsule was made of; Brainiac got it last episode. Who's gonna save them? I'm guessing someone from this season and not some random cameo like batman that for some asinine reason people want. I'm guessing John Henry, Lex in his own suit, or General Lane. Maybe task force x like atomic skull or live wire can have beam stand off but I doubt it.
@@ExtremeMadnessX It isn't - they said many times that MAWS is a seperate Universe and will remain that way. If anything, the producers probably just wanted to give Clark a more "mature"-ish design for the New Suit, and the Kingdome Come symbol simply came up as an option.
I expected Brainiac to hijack the robots that were shown in season 1 first. They're far closer to his Kryptonian systems. The Metallos seemed more human tech. Though to be fair, Brainiac is a still the mind of an empire used to conquering other worlds, so hacking human materiel shouldn't be too hard even without overlooked residual admin privileges.
I guess the red trunks kinda showcased Clark's "learning to be superman" Arc, and now this renewal out of the SuperBrainiac look means to signify Superman in his prime: a new version.
@@rudrodeepchatterjee But…now he just looks naked. At the very least there’s a distinct belt, so it’s not as bad as some other designs. It’s not a hard negative and I like the rest of the changes except for the sharp shoulder pads. Clark lacking the trunks, screwing with his colour balance, is always just a peeve of mine. Hopefully Martha makes him a new pair once the whole ‘Earth being invaded’ snafu is over.
@omn1media about that power remember brainac said something about kryptoninan evolution about how they try make the next new borns stronger/better, could be a latent result of this and if kara doesnt have it, remember Kara is older than kal
I think they are the same age in this continuity. The writers didn't go for the comic continuity. Even in the ending of last episode Kid Kara seemed about the same age as Kid Clark.
Has anyone else noticed that mallah and the brain aren't with Jimmy, kara and lois I mean were did they go and also I'm the only one noticing that right now what the heck happened to those two characters you know.
Actually his new suit looks a lot like the new James Gunn Superman movie that's coming out in 2025 that might have been done on purpose just give him the red tights it looks just like the suit that we're going to see in the new James Gunn movie
Next week. Either John Henry "Steel" Irons will show up. Or a certain a$$wipe rich playboy from Gotham and a certain representative from a small remote island will pop up to lend helping hands for such planetary level threat. To, as some might say, bring Justice to Brainiacs actions.

Darkseid
Brainiac lived for over 20 years after the end of Krypton, he could've invented the shields in that time.
My fist is the drill… THAT WILL PIERCE THE HEAVENS!
I’ll bet dollars to donuts that our chaos god gremlin is watching this whole thing with a bag of popcorn 🍿 😂
Mr. Mxyzptlk *_did_* set things in motion by allowing Lois to get File X with the holograms of evil versions of Superman and the shard of Kryptonite inside 🤔😓.
the design is soooo hot …i mean it’s so sick
7:22 this noise is the reason I watch Omn1.
Also, Clark and Lois fighting together in Brainiacs mindscape, seems to be a shout out to The Matrix 4. Especially when Lois asked Clark to "wake up" and references to "Glitch".
They keepin' my man Clark fresh to death (literally) on this show.
In this series, the powers that the Kryptonians have on Krypton are probably part of the memories that Brainiac gave Kara, they may not be real, also Kandor is the spacecraft and not a city on Krypton, apparently Kara's memories of Krypton were changed
This was the most ANIME episode yet. Even the title is a reference to Gurren Lagann. XDDDD
God, I love how much of a menace Brainiac is in this
This kinda needed to be part 1 of a special
This was really the best episode of the show for me. Everything was so well executed. Clark has a new suit. The music was amazing.
Season two has been so good that this might be my favorite Superman media so far.
Clark and Lois breaking out together was so satisfying❤
This is a well thought out show, using the jornalistic elements of been reporters as a crux to navigate , makes sense , the title is my adventures with superman.....i rolled my eyes in earlier episodes at the idea that jimmy has a blog online, i didnt like it ....but damn i was proven wrong, its a master stroke of an idea. great show especially season 2, also like that kara isnt just female clark, shes more amazonian in her approach
The voice acting for Brainiac is just so damn GOOD!
Clark and Kara, they family to my so is jimmy and Louis Lane
I can’t wait for the next episode
can we appreciate clark In black though?? looking mighty fine
Really hoping we get the iconic laser punching to beat the beam next ep
I have an answer to the Kryptonite shielding.
Remember that Jimmy left the Kryptonite orb that Mxyzptlk gave to Lois? Brainiac probably studied it and applied the same kind of shielding (probably lead lol) in case he encountered it again.
I like the new suit, I hope David Corenswet's Superman gets a suit like this one
i wish brainiac superman had more time to shine i wanted him to go off just full on Shibuya incident metropolis as superman
Yes! Agreed I wish we got to see him do more destruction. His design was sick
I don't think they wanna deal with the aftermath of that story
Would be nice if The Brain and Mallah come back with different universe Superman.
my bet next episode: superman gonna break into kandor, last desperation tap into that inner power and we may see them adapt his super flare which is his most devastating super power. imagine heat vision with heat vision is him expunging the solar cells in his body, super flare is pretty much like a solar flare. he expunge all the solar cells in his body to cause a aoe flare that can destroy//disintegrate things around him but that leaves him vulnerable with him weakened after it.
that and good chance the ai of jor-el whats left of him at fortress of solitude is gonna sense brainiac and interfere with him giving a window ofr clark and kara to fight back.
i NEED Kara to get her blue suit in the finale. I will literally explode if she doesn't. I also NEED her to meet Ma and Pa Kent.
Kara will definitely get her suit in the finale. I hope she meets Ma and Pa Kent too
@zigzagreus6362 major pause on the first sentence
I love that the new upgraded suit looks like James Gunn’s new DCU suit!!!
Yeah, safe to say this is my favorite episode of the series yet.
General Lane to the rescue next ep.
Bro that new symbol looks like the new dcu logo for James Gunn Superman❤❤
...What if this show is prequel to new live-action movie?
@@ExtremeMadnessXI don't think it is?
@@ExtremeMadnessXit's not because none if these characters look like their movie counterparts
@@ExtremeMadnessX
It isn't - they said many times that MAWS is a seperate Universe and will remain that way.
If anything, the producers probably just wanted to give Clark a more "mature"-ish design for the New Suit, and the Kingdome Come symbol simply came up as an option.
Está basado en el de kingdom come
this going to lead to one epic season finale
I think General Lane and Livewire gang's gonna show up to help in the next episode.
Why I feel that for the last episode somebody we haven’t seen in the show yet just gon show up out of nowhere
Looks like Ma Kent is gonna have to make a new pair of trunks after this is all over.
GAH! THE DREADED SHONEN CLIFFHANGER!😱
I just realised they got rid of the trunks....
WELL FRICK, i loved them 😭😭😭😭
I hope we get Batman soon
12:56 Let's go... girls?
I'm wondering if we'll get other superheroes next episode.
I'm thinking a superhero from gotham that has an affinity to bats but that could a tease for s3
To be fair, it's probably extremely hard to tell someone that you love them right after you hurt them by breaking up with them.
Kara needs to get her supergirl suit in the next episode.
They’ve seemingly erased the red trunks. My only negative thought this episode.
His mom made them so it makes sense that his next Kryptonian suit wouldn't have them either. Does his mom make new trunks tho?
The "together" bit felt a little over the top to me, but this show has earned it. I hope Suoes new threads are here to stay.
Steve the goat
8:54 - 9:14 When you're trying to meet the love of your life but there parents does not approved it.
17:02 Is starman moment
17:47 to quote Bender from Futurama… “Well, we’re boned.”
what if this is where they tease batman
@omn1media about that power remember brainac said something about kryptoninan evolution about how they try make the next new borns stronger/better, could be a latent result of this and if kara doesnt have it, remember Kara is older than kal
I think they are the same age in this continuity. The writers didn't go for the comic continuity. Even in the ending of last episode Kid Kara seemed about the same age as Kid Clark.
Has anyone else noticed that mallah and the brain aren't with Jimmy, kara and lois I mean were did they go and also I'm the only one noticing that right now what the heck happened to those two characters you know.
Actually his new suit looks a lot like the new James Gunn Superman movie that's coming out in 2025 that might have been done on purpose just give him the red tights it looks just like the suit that we're going to see in the new James Gunn movie
bro i was looking for kara and jimmy to kiss or do something
anyone knows where to find all the episodes and watch them for free? please
I feel lonely
I like and hate the new drip
Next week. Either John Henry "Steel" Irons will show up. Or a certain a$$wipe rich playboy from Gotham and a certain representative from a small remote island will pop up to lend helping hands for such planetary level threat. To, as some might say, bring Justice to Brainiacs actions.
See I'm betting on Steel at most and even that I'm not confident in; this feels like it has to be Clark and Kara's fight.
El murciélago y la amazona es muy pronto para que salgan es mejor que los dejen para el destructor de Krypton ese extraño sujeto con los rayos púrpuras y obsesionado con las ecuaciones
Can we have one piece of DC media without shoehorning that damn bat in? He’s already getting his own cartoon
@@umapessoa240 But not the Batman Family Adventure version, though. It's always the brooding "I am The Night" Batman in the animation. Never that beleaguered divorcee dad Batman, which would fits right in "My Adventures with Superman" universe.
Am I the only one who sees all this She-ra scenes? They stole so many of them, how can you not see it? Brainiac Primus is so alike the Horde Prime, so as Kara like Adora. Even Horde drones was stolen! They just call them "Metallo" and changed some details!
I just want to throw this out there, this show has homaged a lot of other animated shows and anime throughout it's run but all of those things such as Brainiac and his army of drones pre-date She-Ra and even He-Man's creation by a few decades. Same with Metallo and Kara. DC technically did all this already long before She-Ra existed.
@@Omn1Media Technically speaking yes. But what would you say if all this arch were "inspired" by The Star Wars? Imagine Brainiac are evil killing machine like he always was, but looks exactly like Dart Weider.
@@emmajane414again, this storyline and characters was done by DC first before She-Ra existed. You can’t steal when you did it first. It’s an old concept.
