Very nice review. Haven't seen a lot of videos on the EX Trim on the 2023 Plug In Niro. The EX Trim is around 150 pounds lighter than the higher SX Touring trim level. SX Touring also has larger and wider tires (SX = 225/45R18) than the EX (EX = 205/60R16). SX Touring has that EX does not: Driver Seat Memory Sunroof Smart Power Tailgate LED Projector Headlights LED Fog Lights Auto Passenger Window Down and Up Harman Kardon Premium Audio System (Subwoofer) 18in Alloy Wheels Gloss black body accents Front parking sensors LED interior dome light Perforated SynTex Seats for ventilated seats Alloy Sport Pedals Door Scuff Plates, Aluminum Sound-Absorbing Front Door Window Glass Smart Key Heated Rear Seats, Heated Steering Wheel, and Cabin PTC Heater can be added to either trim of the Plug In Niro with the cold weather package. The EX trim of this Niro is for people who want to maximize MPG with no frills while retaining nearly all the safety features of the SX Touring has saving money. The price difference between these two trim levels is nearly $6,000 USD new.
thank you for the feature summary. does the higher trim level also include the contrasting paint color on the aero blade C pillar or whatever it's called, or is that only available on the Niro EV?
@@toronado455 The Black Aeroblade is an option only on the SX Touring trim of the Plug In Hybrid and is only available with the Mineral Blue color in the US. The HEV version offers a Black Aeroblade option on the CItyscape Green as well as the Mineral Blue but only in the SX and SX Touring trims. The EV version features a Gray Aeroblade only on the Snow White Pearl only on the Wave trim.
Honestly, I am not the best judge of audio systems lol, Unless it is really bad its ok for me and I cannot hear much difference until I listen to the high end systems right after that. But hopefully someone who owns it will chime in.
It sucks that there is no USA tax credit on Kia EVs. You can get a Tesla Model 3 for $42,000 with a $3750 tax credit. Unless Kia discounts their EVs, you would have to be nuts to pay more for a Kia EV or PHEV.
I’ve had the extreme misfortune of owning a Tesla M3. It was the biggest hunk of junk I’ve owned in 45 years of driving. I kept it for six months and ditched it. Doesn’t help that Elon Musk is a racist pr*ck either. Sold my Tesla stock at the same time.

Harman Kardon Premium Audio System (Subwoofer)
18in Alloy Wheels
Gloss black body accents
Front parking sensors
LED interior dome light
Perforated SynTex Seats for ventilated seats
Alloy Sport Pedals
Door Scuff Plates, Aluminum
Sound-Absorbing Front Door Window Glass

Thanks for that info. Honestly the EX has plenty of features. Not sure if I would justify spending 6k for the extras.

@@DannyBoehning Wow you know your Niro facts! Thank you!
I’m wondering how’s the audio system on Ex trim?

That is the "inflation reduction act" for you. Only vehicles with final assembly in United States qualify for tax credit. Same for Toyota Rav4 Prime
For someone looking for the storage space of a CUV, in the 30-40k usd price range, what would you recommend?

Has anyone bought one of these in Europe? Interested to know how long it takes to charge using 240v L1 charging?
Is it not available in Europe?
I'v never seen that car in person so, is that car really low and small, or that guy is really tall.
Lol that guy is 6ft tall and Niro is considered a compact crossover. You can see in the video how much room you have inside. I made sure of that.
Kia like finger print on black😢
Lots of shiny plastic
