Making a Warframe Jacket: Part 2

Loid’s sponsored build for ‪@Warframe‬ was such a challenge, and I’m so happy to share with you the second half of his jacket construction. The last parts to construct for this were the silicone and resin pieces to affix.
I chose to mold and cast many of these pieces in silicone after printing in resin in order to keep the flexibility needed in my torso. Every 3d piece is custom modeled and printed before getting finished and affixed or prepped for molding. I added gold mica powder to my molds before pouring in the silicone, and this powder is then pulled out with the cast when it’s cured.
Final pieces are permanently attached to the textiles and other silicone sections using either Aleene’s Super Fabric Adhesive or SilPoxy.
