Great to see Manufacturers improving our Hobby making it easier for a Beginner. In the last 2 years we have seen full FPV Drone kits ready to fly right out of the box. New simple to use Chargers. Controllers. and Captain Drone Videos to show you how it works. If anyone is thinking about getting into the Hobby Now is the time. Thanks Captain
Not a bad charger though I would like the storage and discharge functions. I'm still on the hunt for a battery adapter so I can use the newer batteries on my first FPV drone because it just hooks up with the balance connector lol.
I may have missed it, but what is beginner about it? 2x250w on DC is pretty good. People should get a 750W DC server supply and get everything you can out of it. An included screen protector is pretty nice!
Thanks for the review, you sold me. I have to say it works well and is very simple to use. I like the data it gives you and you can evaluate the condition of the battery from the data also. The only neg comment I have is the noise of the fan that it makes. A necessary evil but at least I know it is keeping it cool with that much air flow.
Is this battery charger proprietary? I got one as part of a drone kit. The little instruction pamphlet wasn't super informative. Will it charge batteries for a DJI/FPV? That would be nice if I could only use 1 of them.
This is an RC Hobby battery charger. Your DJI batteries are made for beginners (i.e., they are idiot proof) so they charge slow and you have no say in how they charge. Your RC Hobby battery charger is a million times better but it can only charge RC Hobby Batteries that are NON-PROPRIETARY. Since all camera GPS drones are designed for beginners, such drones all have PROPRIETARY idiot proof batteries that can only be charged on the charger that came with them.

Steve, this is a question about "charging". There is always a lot of concern about LiPo charging and storage of aircraft batteries. What about care and feeding of the CONTROLLER batteries? Are they LiPo as well and is it safe keep them charged when not being used?
BATTERY DISCHARGE: Only when a battery is faulty or damaged and you are trying to repair it. BATTERY STORAGE: Only when a battery will not be used for a lengthy period of time.
Great Video, and Great Information. Nice Battery Charger. I like trickle charger mode. The connectors are a must to have in your accessories kit. Great Price, and getting the discount is a bonus. What battery charger do you recommend if you want to store and discharge your batteries?
Great review, no storage charge make that this charger will be replaced soon for a charger that has storage charge. Strange from ISDT to not include the storage charge.

As long as the battery is not swollen, it should be good. Cheap, no name brand batteries, can sometimes have a dead or underperforming cell that doesn't hold a charge. Such batteries are easy to spot because they cost next to nothing to buy.

Wrong decision to use battery capacity to choose charge current. Charge currence depend on discharge current. The 75c may means max charge current is 75 divided by 10. Wrong to charge 1500mah 1c with 1.5 amps thats blowing up battery.
Thanks for the input but you may live in a country where this is a problem. In most of the world (Europe & North America) The "C" rating is for when you wish to exceed the standard input charge amps.
