Butter is a rich source of several vitamins - especially fat-soluble ones. The following vitamins are found in high amounts in butter: Butter is rich in various vitamins, including A, D, E, B12, and K2. However, butter typically doesn’t contribute much to your total daily intake of these vitamins in a standard American diet because you usually consume it in small amounts. Couple of weeks ago we went on a fall foliage trip in New England, and in one small town restaurant where we stopped for our one meal a day, they had on display croissant and bisquits that they make there. We were good and ordered burgers without the bun, and without the customary fries, but for the first time in 2.5 years since I am keto, those croissant and bisquits were really winking at me from across the room!!!! It was my birthday that day (64) so my husband suggested to make an exception and get a croissant. I caved in and we bought before we left 1 croissant and 1 bisquit to go. We went to the hotel, and like bad kits stayed in the car and split the forbiden food! It was worth the sin every bite!!!! But what I am getting at is that to my surprize next morning I was back into ketosis, with a glucose level of 76 and ketones at 1.2!!!!! I think I conquered my insulin resistance, right?! Thank you for the discount code for the ketones. I ordered some for my mom, who is suffering from dementia. I am hopeful that they can help. Sure wish I could convince my parents that sugar is the stuff of the devil.
What if a person doesn't sweat? I've had a problem with not sweating and overheating since at least high school and I'm in my 50s. I'm well hydrated (drink 0.5-1.5 gal of water per day). As an example, when we used to have to run a mile the teachers would pull me off the track about halfway through because I'd be bright red, bone dry and stumbling. I sweat some, places that trap sweat like armpits and hair will get damp, just not enough. By the way, I find sardines easier to eat if I break them up with a fork like flaking tuna for tuna salad.
The discussion regarding sardines or butter is interesting. I have just finished reading the book,Eat Like The Animals, and they discuss the importance of Protein as the number one thing that dissipates hunger. So that from their perspective, they would probably say that sardines are a better option. It’s a very interesting book….
@@TM-qh6xh They contain proteins and fats (especially Omega 3) and then there is the Olive Oil, a small amount of Carbohydrates in the Brussels sprouts, and you have the ideal meal…?..!!
The book was wrong about the #1 thing that reduces hunger is protein it is fat. Try reducing your protein and increasing fat you will notice a difference
@@SeahawkAz As far as I can recall, in the book they say that perhaps when we eat some protein we should combine it with some fat. It seems to make sense, if I were a hunter gatherer, it’s likely that is what I would be doing .
I was fat adapted with no inflammation and then I started “ fooling” my delusional addicted mind from last Xmas. Burping became my normal problem but with Black radish & artichoke Naturopathic tincture things are better. I enjoy butter & burgers often. A case of Sardines are good & cheap. But Can drinking too many stove top espresso & ghee bulletproof coffees cause stomach & liver problems? I’ve added fermented cabbage & salsa to meals as an aid.
I can't believe she ate two sticks of butter per day! What are her health goals? I love your informative videos, Dr. Boz! I'm looking forward to seeing you again in 2023 on the Low Carb Cruise!
What’s wrong with eating that much butter? Butter can reduce cortisol levels which is why she slept so good and higher cortisol levels will prevent you from burning fat or sleeping well. Longer fasts also stress your metabolism and pushing in workouts will also increase stress levels so it’s a delicate balance where you might raise cortisol levels. If she’s not eating anything to increase her insulin levels she won’t store the butter fats in her arteries the way a person who is eating the standard American diet would.
I will have to disagree with the comment that butter does not have nutrition. A good grass-fed high-quality butter has a ton of nutrition in it many of the doctors such as Paul Masson, Ken Berry and others talk about that fact. But butter is not butter. A good Grass fed butter have a lot more nutrition than your regular generic store-bought butter. There truly is a difference.
I can do the sardine thing, I do eat somewhat keto, need to cleanup on my carbs, however. Pretty much ditched the sugar gig but do fall off the wagon from time to time. Beverages of choice coffee, tea (green, black) water, no sugar drinks gave those up years ago. Eating butter? yea I can do that, have added butter to coffee as a creamer, figured why not! I have whipped up Bullet-proof coffee, very filling.
Hi Annette, I've had cold feet as long as I can remember so at 67 we're talking over* half a century. Then I came across Natto (Gnat-tow) a Japanese fermented bean. You cant buy it in US. Low&Behold after spiking my ginger green tea with good* MCT oil my feet are toasty warm. Better circulation ok, but family has history of vascular dimentia so how do I know when circulation is getting good enough to offset Vascular Dimentia. Do warm feet suffice or do I need a meter? I can't believe I got past my infamous weight plateau by 3 lbs on a 6 day sardine fast. May not sound like much but warm feet 8 lbs less weight is a monster win here! 🙂 Thank you for all you do Dr. Bosworth really liking how clear headed calm and happy I am on sardines but watch those Lemon Pepper Sardines I saw you packing in Florida. Pretty darn sure they have MaltoDextrin in them Doc? Smoked or Kippers don't in Brunswick Sardines though. God Bless, take care. Love your channel so informational and supportive! 🙂 👍👋 from BC Canada
Oh, please, please... Could you expand on what you did to overcome cold feet? I really need to understand well what to do because I do suffer from cold feet and no doctor (functional docs included) has been able to help me so far. It is so uncomfortable!!! And I haven't related it with dementia. Now I'm even more worried. I did not quite understand what you were saying about ginger tea... Will you help me, please?? Thank you so very much!!
@@celestebinus6142 Hi Celeste your cold feet are invariably poor circulation symptoms. Natto removes tiny filaments (not proper medical term I hunch it might be fibrin) in your blood from your circulation system. This improves circulation fibrin impedes blood flow . Raw Ginger tea reduces inflammation another circulation inhibitor. Pick up some of Dr Boz's Vitamin D3+Vitamin K2. This acts like a conveyor belt removing calcium buildup in your arteries and putting calcium where it belongs... In your bones!!! This will improve circulation as well. Avoid sugar a potent precursor for inflammation. Exercise even a 20 min walk will help. Apple Cider Vinegar and MCT oil will kick in your Keto as will Coconut Milk in your coffee instead of cream or milk. It has MCTs in it also. Turmeric and Curcumin are also great anti-inflammatories mix in olive oil for optimum absorption. Avoid unnecessary stress, embrace moderate exercise and 20 second bursts of intense cardio. This will turbocharge autophagy another great assist for good circulation. Fish oil, Vitamin D3+K2, and Magnesium are a good place to start. Natto hard to find stateside, try a Japanese Market who use it in traditional Japanese diet. It's an acquired taste Celeste. Soya Sauce is also fermented and is a nice mix. Here's another guaranteed Hack. Catch a rest and or nap in a comfy Zero Gravity chair, my feet are always warmer when I wake up. Another hack for circulation is infrared saunas, any kind of infrared light is healthy for you. Hope thisCeleste helps take care be well ❤️, Rich.
I've just found this lady and I'm really learning a lot in just a few vids I've seen so far but I'm curious about something. Why does she drink something so often? Most vloggers can make it a whole hour with not one drink but esp not a few drinks? Is she drinking something special, is she needing to do this to stay hydrated... like something about being on keto? I'm not being rude, just truly curious bc she's always drinking on all her videos. She might be having really dry mouth too possibly. Just asking as I'm learning about keto things to see if I'll try it.

@@redburtley6021butter is made from heavy whipping cream by churning in a butter churned. But since churning is an old fashioned way of making butter you can whip your cream until it solidifies. That’s how you make butter. One ingredient.
So much helpful information! Thanks 😊
Lots of good info once again
I just purchased a infrared sauna blanket. I am otr trucker and my heart rate never goes over 75. What is your opinion. I am from your group, I pretty much give up because I am stalled. Trucking life sucks
I do best with two meals a day and no snacks.
I really enjoy your content
Dang, this was so helpful!! I learned so much yet again!!
Dang Sharon. You are so on the money.
I can’t get your coupon to work on your website or on Amazon????
The discussion regarding sardines or butter is interesting.
I have just finished reading the book,Eat Like The Animals, and they discuss the importance of Protein as the number one thing that dissipates hunger.
So that from their perspective, they would probably say that sardines are a better option.
It’s a very interesting book….
But I thought it is fat in sardines
I was fat adapted with no inflammation and then I started
“ fooling” my delusional addicted mind from last Xmas. Burping became my normal problem but with Black radish & artichoke Naturopathic tincture things are better. I enjoy butter & burgers often. A case of Sardines are good & cheap.

I’ve added fermented cabbage & salsa to meals as an aid.
Caffeine is poisonous to the human body. It's what the plant creates to kill its enemies. Read "Caffeine Blues".
I can't believe she ate two sticks of butter per day! What are her health goals? I love your informative videos, Dr. Boz! I'm looking forward to seeing you again in 2023 on the Low Carb Cruise!
I would like someone to tell me how many grams in a stick of butter please…?
@@grahamedwards6824 I think it's 113 gr
@@maureenlemieux6958 I looked it up elsewhere, and it’s 113.4 gm. Thank you nevertheless.

Exactly. Love Elizabeth bright
I tried your recommendation but my cholesterol skyrocketed to 240 both HDL&LDL why is that??
I will have to disagree with the comment that butter does not have nutrition. A good grass-fed high-quality butter has a ton of nutrition in it many of the doctors such as Paul Masson, Ken Berry and others talk about that fact. But butter is not butter. A good Grass fed butter have a lot more nutrition than your regular generic store-bought butter. There truly is a difference.
I’m allergic to fish. What are alternatives?
What about drinking olive oil instead of eating butter?
I have a huge problem once my blood sugar drops below 70 I start getting fatigue, can you give me some insight how to overcome that

Can we do use high amounts of olive oil for getting ketone up if I can not eat but
Your information is helpful. How do I know if I am fat adapted?
You can easily skip meals - lack of hunger.
@@randomcommenter935that’s helpful - I was wondering the same

What is the effect of ketones on the kidneys, biologically? And on the liver, which is producing them...do they (ketones) put stress on these organs?
Look for Dr Jason Fung on here
Interesting vid. Thanks
Olive oil is NOT repeat NOT a seed oil it is a fruit oil the same with avocado. By the way mustard helps the sardines go down.
I cstch the love when I can. But love being able to watch the replay.
I was having black coffee with MCT oil whipped up in my nutribullet in the mornings during my 72 hr. Sardine fast very satisfying!
Thank you for all you do Dr.
Rich Ireland, Did you have to eat Natto and add MCT oil to your ginger green tea?
@@celestebinus6142 Hi Celeste your cold feet are invariably poor circulation symptoms. Natto removes tiny filaments (not proper medical term I hunch it might be fibrin) in your blood from your circulation system. This improves circulation fibrin impedes blood flow
The code no longer works. Did you sell all the expiring BHB?
Good evening Dr boz

I've just found this lady and I'm really learning a lot in just a few vids I've seen so far but I'm curious about something. Why does she drink something so often? Most vloggers can make it a whole hour with not one drink but esp not a few drinks? Is she drinking something special, is she needing to do this to stay hydrated... like something about being on keto? I'm not being rude, just truly curious bc she's always drinking on all her videos. She might be having really dry mouth too possibly. Just asking as I'm learning about keto things to see if I'll try it.
Watching from Pinckney Michigan
I watched a video in where this woman said eating cold butter is good for those with gerd. Don’t heat it up.
Just to clarify, this lady was eating 2 sticks of butter per day??
Dropping a comment. I miss Tuesday group! Will be back to Tampa soon. Can’t wait to see you 😊
How on earth can you eat two sticks of butter a day??? I have been trying to eat one and am having great difficulty. And if you are fasting do you still eat the butter?
Right?!? I honestly asked that same question when she told me!!
, I can’t just eat butter even though I love it..can’t it just be put on the food I eat to get it in?
Yes I think so
I’ve enlarged prostate, and all dairy product will make my prostate worse. I switched to olive oil and it looks that is ok for me of course

Do we need ketones?
🙏Hello Doctor from London🙏💚☘
I eat sardines with mustard. Not bad. Tastes somewhat like tuna to me...but I do like tuna better. 😋 😉
My sardines protocol? Lemon juice, good olive oil, Skinny Girl Raspberry syrup...Tastes almost like a dessert.
Did anyone catch the code at the end for the BHB ketones?? I didn’t hear her say anything else about it. I’d love to get some.

I’m 5”2” n weighed 103lbs n lost 2 lbs in the 1st week of. Carnivore on July 4th. Started adding a stick of butter everyday for the last month. I’ve gained weight. Why?? I’m not a big eater, never was before carnivore. I don’t eat cheese or heavy cream. I usually eat on a day… 4 oz of salmon, 2wggs, 3 oz of thin ribeye,6 pcs of grilled shrimp n I started addin butter to coffee cuz I really don’t know to eat a stick of butter a day. Plzz help
