I’d just like to say thanks to those of you leaving constructive criticism! We only had about 6 rehearsals to put this together, so obviously it’s not perfect, but we do appreciate it!
Bri Winship haha yeah I was the one who played Michael. I’ve never acted in anything before (I normally play in the pit orchestra) so I was hella nervous, but I’m still happy with the end result.
Well thank you, if I'm honest I was absolutely terrified to be up there, but maybe one day I'll improve on my performance skills enough to seem confident on stage :) I'm not really an actor, but I guess I can always learn.
Kate Yuen yeah but then you think of the scene with Chole and Jeremy... idk if they did it but their are a bunch of other things that are worse than porn

I love how rich touches Jeremy and “DONT WASH THAT OFF” I also wanna say it’s not awful. You can tell they didn’t get enough time, but considering the time they did get it’s really good. The costumes are good too. I love the costumes. Ok bye
Honestly the chemistry between Michael and Jeremy was so great and believable Their vocal ranges really sounded great especially the harmonys Your costumes where all pretty spot on And All the actors looked like they had a lot of fun with it Some parts where a little shakey with the delivery (but that could have just been the actors being nevouse) But it worked pretty well over all Good job!
Hey wow friend, this was really fun to watch! A little piece of my constructive criticism- BMC is an absolutely ridiculous show so everyone in any cast performing it needs to take their acting to like an 11, no one should hold back. Some of the actors in this were just a little too reserved, but other than that this was super fun to watch!!
Haha yeah, actually most of us are only in year 10 (Some 9s and a 12) but our hope is that we can improve our acting for future shows so we wont look as reserved.
I think this is really good for teenagers who only had 6 rehearsals. My only comment is to show way more emotion than that and some people like Michael were a little shaky in their voices like they were nervous? So maybe try to get those nerves out before the play :)
PlanetBanditt you did really good. Maybe try preforming in front of your friends or parents/caregivers so you get used to preforming in front of people.
PlanetBanditt If its any consolation, I was so nervous in my first performance, (which was only a Shakespeare monologue, mind you) I forgot all of my lines and had to restart my slate twice. That wasn't even two years ago but since then, ive been in six school plays, three as major characters, and they all went great. Id be lying if I said that the nerves thing has gotten better, but what helped was how much time and effort I put into practicing. You were already much better than I was in my first performance, so I'm sure that you're going to make one hell of an actor.
AYEEE after seeing illegal Heathers, I didn't really think high school productions of these types of musicals would ever be good but gosh diddly darn you guys were so good!!! You guys really made the characters seem like they were in 20gayteen man. I'm just so impressed, and the cast seems so cool! I hope this doesn't come across as weird but do any of you guys have social medias like Instagram or something? But yeah anywaaaays, you guys really exceeded my expectations for high school musical productions!
Thank you so much! And yeah, most of us have social medias :) My Instagram is @planetbanditt just like on here, and I'm actually in the process of editing a Q and A video which will include everyone else's Instagrams too.
That was actually awesome! Michael is by far my favorite character and the guy who played him was obviously nervous, but other than that he did a really good job I wish I could get the chance to do something like this
Haha thank you, I played Michael, and you're correct when you said I was nervous. This was my first time acting in anything but I had a blast! I wasn't supposed to play him originally because I was directing this, but our original Michael and our understudy both bailed, and I was the only one who knew the words. It was a bit of a change considering I'm usually just a pit orchestra kid.
Woah! This is quite a story haha they were luck to have you playing him and I bet the guys who bailed on you got jealous after seeing this, with a little more practice you can be a really great actor and congratulations on the directing (I'm not really good at english, so sorry if there's anything wrong here)
Well thanks, though I'm not sure I'll do much more acting (I have pretty bad stage fright, and I'm not very confident in my singing abilities) I really did enjoy the experience. Maybe I'll try acting again sometime, but I have to say that doing the more "Behind the scenes" type things are where I'm more comfortable. Also don't worry about your english! Everything seems good to me :)
The singing and the acting have the same "issue": you were nervous, this goes away with time. Going out of your comfort zone can be really good sometimes. I really understand the stage fright thing, for a long time I was terrified of doing anything in public, and the directing is one of the most important parts of any play, so I bet you'll be doing a great job anyway Congratulations!
This is really good! My only comment is to make sure to show emotion while singing. It can get hard to both sing and act but it can really make or break a performance. Other than that, great job 😄
I lost it at "YEET!" I may or may not have thrown an empty water bottle into a crowd on the last day of school while screaming "YEET!" Anywayyy, I really loved this! It's amazing! I've always wanted to try and do this myself and you've inspired me a bunch with this video! Thank you a lot!
it’s amazing you all got this down in six rehearsals and that you even have enough low voiced people with good voices unlike my school haha good job with the harmonies and the censoring
This was amazing. Everyone was great at making their character come to life. The person who played Michael sounded a bit nervous but that’s ok because I feel like it added to Michael’s personality. The people who played Michael and Jeremy were amazing, I wish I could do something like this. Good job guys!!!!!
Haha yeah I played Michael, and yeah I was very nervous. I'm not an actor (I had to play Michael because our original Michael dipped last minute) and this was actually my first time acting in anything.
PlanetBanditt you did amazing!!! I’m always nervous before shows. I look at it this way: when you’re on a stage you can be anyone you want to. Off stage I’m the person with bad social anxiety, but on stage I’m not that person, I’m confident and I feel like a different person in a way.
PlanetBanditt if you need to talk to someone for tips about being less nervous for plays and musicals you can talk to me. And no one in the audience is going to know if you mess up. I perform in a bunch of things and mess up every time but no one in the audience knows. So when you mess up don’t stop just keep on going. The only people who know is you and the cast. So it’s completely ok if you mess up. You have a lot of talent!
You could hear the smile in the kid playing Jeremy's voice during "Christine" and i think that was wonderful You can also tell by the way the kid said certain words that they're obviously a fan of bmc/have listened to the soundtrack
List of things I think are iconic~ -the little thing Michael does with his legs at 5:24 -"Movie" "HAHAHA" "ew" "gay?" "YEET" "highschool ain't LIt" -the dancing :') AND THEY'RE VOICES ARE REALLY GOOD???
You guys were amazing! In my opinion, any of you could go on to Broadway. Until I started reading the comments, I assumed you were acting Michaels anxiety, not actually nervous. The chemistry between Michael and Jeremy was perfect. Its a great performance, especially with only 6 practices, we're not even off book at 6 practices, let alone preforming. I hope you all do more shows, it was wonderful!
I just love how the show kept getting better as everyone grew more comfortable with time. The stage is your home and don’t be afraid to show off. Especially with stuff like this and the choreography at times was good. THE FREAKING PART WHEN JEREMY GOES TO SIGN THE PAPER IS GREAT. Also a tip for clapping and staying in sync is to do it slowly so that everyone is in sync and then gradually get faster to the current tempo when practicing. If it works in Chorus it works in Drama.
Haha yeah, it would have been lovely to try an exercise like that if we had the time, however with only six rehearsals we had to just get the main things down and hope for the best :)
Jeremy was pretty darn good! the entire cast did a great job, you guys are so lucky your school let you preform be more chill, idk when mine will! probably never oof (christine is my dream role)
I loved it! I like Michael, but I do think he should put more power behind his voice. He is very good at singing, he's also a great actor! I just think he should put that power to boost his talent as well as get more confident while singing. The fact that you had 6 rehearsals makes it even more unbelievable. Keep up the good work!
Hellofreeze The girl who played Chloe constantly sings Heathers and it drives us insane. She went as Heather chandler for Halloween, and one time scared the shit out of the guy who played Jeremy because during one of our rehearsals she sang candy store and yelled “shut up heather” so violently he fell out of his chair 🤣
Eyyy, you guys came up with the same “high school ain’t lit” my friend and I used for a cover we were gonna post a few months ago. I mean, we said “high schools not lit” rather than ain’t (which actually works loads better. Kudos you you ^^) and we never posted the video (rip contest we were trying to enter XD) so it’s not exactly the same, but it’s fun to see someone else with the same idea. We also used “high schools not swell” at one point and changed that one line in Michael in the Bathroom to “wish I’d stayed at home in bed watching a documented storm”. It was a mouthful but it worked. Apparently I have a habit of rambling? Oops You all have a lot of potential! Keep it up ^^
this was pretty good!! jeremy’s vocals were really good! the only criticism i have is the timing was off on some of the vocals and dancing and michael didn’t show too much emotion. but ofc thats stuff that can be easily improved on. great job tho guys!!
Wow look a Be More Chill bootleg. Seriously though I'm shook! This is so impressive! The vocals are very good! Though the acting needs a little work. But overall I love it! Gosh thank you for existing!
This was absolutely wonderful! Of course it’s not nail on the head completely perfect but it’s pretty darn close! And whoever is playing jeremy- your voice is GORGEOUS! Congrats to all of you!
This was beautiful! I loved it! Sometimes when I see performances like this on the internet, it's off an I cringe a lot. But this was actually really good. Spectacular work! Now back to my high school drama club...
Coming back heere after watching the videos for the 2018 version of be more chill and back then I was sooooo focused on Michael that I didn't realize... This Jeremy is KILLING IT, i mean, he's reaaaallllyyyy awesome!!
*air quotes* "Movie" "I navigate the dangerous halls. YEET!" "It's a sign-up sheet for getting called... gay??" whatever the heck those poses were that they were doing as Christine signed up "Good talk." "High school is lit" *dabs*
this is so amazing! wish my drama department could put this on! also it's super impressive considering the small amount of practice you guys had. what a good job!!
When I first read the title I prayed "God please dont be a Illegal Heathers kinda thing", and when I started watching I was awed This is so good, I can clearly see how much effort everyone put into it! You guys are amazing singers, and it really shows that when teenagers put their mind and heart into something, they can turn it into the most beautiful work of art! (Also the *"yeet"* and dabs were amazing XD)
i think it’s cool that this was only put together in 6 rehearsal’s! i could tell in some places it was a bit rushed or the actors stumbled up their lines, but that’s expected to happen if this was done in such a short time. good job to all of you guys!
I had to actually pause the video and step away for a moment when you guys dabbed. But seriously, this is so great, especially considering you guys are high schoolers and had only six rehearsals. I wanna see a full show with you all in it.
Everyone is?? So cute ?? And the vocals are really good !! With the amount of practice you've had i can only say i have an immense amount of respect for how well you did it (sorry if my English isn't correct lol)
i absolutely love this! it’s adorable and well put together. the vocals are outstandingly good for these kinds of videos. also, i love the things they used to censor the swearing and inappropriate mentions. especially the “highschool aint lit.” it had me almost doubled over laughing. though i have to give some mild constructive critisism. there are some parts where the singing is really good, but the acting is less good, and the dialogue is said really fast. now, i can see for myself it’s really hard to talk calmly when you’r under alot of pressure. (seeing as i myself have been doing theatre for quite a while and have stumbled across this problem with myself and others) and the movements seem a little bored sometimes, like some people don’t actually want to be there. they just look a little sloppy. over all, this is a great performance with great vocals and it could use some minor touch ups on the acting. i absolutely loved it and i incourage you all to keep doing what you’re doing and have fun!
This is beautiful and I love Jeremy! The bus moment was super cute, it's hard to get bounces right. I would only say that work on staying grounded, unless it was intentional. Transitions were super smooth as well! Micheal was adorable.
I’d just like to say thanks to those of you leaving constructive criticism! We only had about 6 rehearsals to put this together, so obviously it’s not perfect, but we do appreciate it!
PlanetBanditt that’s really well done for only having 6 rehearsals I’m sure if you had time it would have turned out better
Damn that’s fast
For 6 rehearsals, this is really good. Your Jeremy has a great voice, but the choreography could be worked on a bit. Otherwise it is amazing!
Thanks! Yeah, we actually only had two rehearsals to learn the choreo, but hopefully next time we'll have a bit more time.
Thanks!

You could hear the smile in the kid playing Jeremy's voice during "Christine" and i think that was wonderful
You can also tell by the way the kid said certain words that they're obviously a fan of bmc/have listened to the soundtrack
List of things I think are iconic~
-the little thing Michael does with his legs at 5:24
-"Movie" "HAHAHA" "ew" "gay?" "YEET" "highschool ain't LIt"
-the dancing :')
AND THEY'RE VOICES ARE REALLY GOOD???
The Jeremy here is how i feel jeremy looked when reading the book, slightly thicc, slightly thin, perfect.
Haha yeah, I mean hopefully one day I'll get over my stage fright and seem less nervous, but until then I guess I should just keep practicing!
Whoever choreographed the weird ritualistic crouching has me dead rn 😂
It is in the actual show and signifys them on the bus
GET THIS JEREMY ON BROADWAY! You are a really good singer!! And Micheal was really in-character! He was on it!! This is really good! :)
PlanetBanditt eyyyy there’s always a next time.
Thats true!
brooke is gorgeous dhsksh
Thanks! ^^
Oliver Abbet I played Michael so thanks for the advice :) I’m not very confident on stage but maybe one day I’ll get better!
You guys were actually pretty good for only 6 rehearsals, don't let some negative comments get you down. Also, props to Cristine, she was awesome! :)
The person who played Micheal is adorable! Their characterization of Micheal works really well.
Oh my god, Chloe would make the perfect Heather Chandler
Hellofreeze The girl who played Chloe constantly sings Heathers and it drives us insane. She went as Heather chandler for Halloween, and one time scared the shit out of the guy who played Jeremy because during one of our rehearsals she sang candy store and yelled “shut up heather” so violently he fell out of his chair 🤣
PlanetBanditt I love it already
PlanetBanditt
oh god
that's me xD
and Jermey-dude is my friend
Veronica Johnson Fitting (or I guess not really) that your name is Veronica
Veronica Johnson Y'know I'd call myself JD *wink*
Wanna know why?
Cuz I'm a psychopathic depressed yandere
“We’ll never be not a team”
YOU SIT ON A THRONE OF LIES
Whoever played Christine was absolutely amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oops
You all have a lot of potential! Keep it up ^^
Chess a d o c u m e n t e d s t o r m
Another alternative for the line in MITB is, "wish I stayed at home in bed instead of feeling torn."
JDH ooh that's a good one
Kate Yuen thanks!
JDH np
this was pretty good!! jeremy’s vocals were really good! the only criticism i have is the timing was off on some of the vocals and dancing and michael didn’t show too much emotion. but ofc thats stuff that can be easily improved on. great job tho guys!!
I loved his air quotes at movie, he’s like ‘We’re technically not allowed to say porn, but you know what I mean”
Can I just say that I love your Jeremy's performance more than my own life?
Wow look a Be More Chill bootleg.
Seriously though I'm shook! This is so impressive! The vocals are very good! Though the acting needs a little work. But overall I love it! Gosh thank you for existing!
This just came up in my reccomended and !!! Holy shit you guys are phenomenal!! Jeremy stole the show for real, what a stellar voice !!
Yum3mi Thank you!!
I love this Jeremy, I like is voice, and the way he sings and recites!
This was absolutely wonderful! Of course it’s not nail on the head completely perfect but it’s pretty darn close! And whoever is playing jeremy- your voice is GORGEOUS! Congrats to all of you!
michael yeeting that bottle gives me life
The "yeet" , the censorships, the performance of everyone (especially Michael and Jeremy) had me shook. The only bootleg we stan now.
Haha, well I'm very glad you liked it!
This was beautiful! I loved it! Sometimes when I see performances like this on the internet, it's off an I cringe a lot. But this was actually really good. Spectacular work! Now back to my high school drama club...
We can all agree that the actor for Jeremy was on point
Coming back heere after watching the videos for the 2018 version of be more chill and back then I was sooooo focused on Michael that I didn't realize... This Jeremy is KILLING IT, i mean, he's reaaaallllyyyy awesome!!
Michael's yeet gives me life
Lady Bug wait when
Conner Moon 2:44
*air quotes* "Movie"
"I navigate the dangerous halls. YEET!"
"It's a sign-up sheet for getting called... gay??"
whatever the heck those poses were that they were doing as Christine signed up
"Good talk."
"High school is lit" *dabs*
Your Jeremy sounds so similar to the original.. I’m so impressed.
this is so amazing! wish my drama department could put this on! also it's super impressive considering the small amount of practice you guys had. what a good job!!
This is so cool to see the characters as actual teenagers! Everyone did such a great job!
When I first read the title I prayed "God please dont be a Illegal Heathers kinda thing", and when I started watching I was awed
This is so good, I can clearly see how much effort everyone put into it! You guys are amazing singers, and it really shows that when teenagers put their mind and heart into something, they can turn it into the most beautiful work of art!
(Also the *"yeet"* and dabs were amazing XD)
michael’s yeet brings me so much joy,,, he is an incredible memelord
My only good quality is being a memelord
the yeet made me scream i loved it. this is honestly so well done, way better than anything my drama group could attempt
this was really good holy crap, i would totally pay to see a full production of it by this cast
i think it’s cool that this was only put together in 6 rehearsal’s! i could tell in some places it was a bit rushed or the actors stumbled up their lines, but that’s expected to happen if this was done in such a short time. good job to all of you guys!
Thank you!!
*This is actually so pure it makes bottled water look like swamp sludge*
i feel like a proud mother! i love you all
Zoey Rowberry Why thank you mom
I had to actually pause the video and step away for a moment when you guys dabbed.
But seriously, this is so great, especially considering you guys are high schoolers and had only six rehearsals. I wanna see a full show with you all in it.
Can I just all of you are SO ADORABLE!! And your vocals are so nice to listen to! Aahh, I wish I did something like this at my school.
Everyone is?? So cute ?? And the vocals are really good !! With the amount of practice you've had i can only say i have an immense amount of respect for how well you did it (sorry if my English isn't correct lol)
Thank you! And don't worry, your english seems great to me!
The fact that you guys had six rehearsals for this is is incredible like this is amazing
i absolutely love this! it’s adorable and well put together. the vocals are outstandingly good for these kinds of videos. also, i love the things they used to censor the swearing and inappropriate mentions. especially the “highschool aint lit.” it had me almost doubled over laughing. though i have to give some mild constructive critisism. there are some parts where the singing is really good, but the acting is less good, and the dialogue is said really fast. now, i can see for myself it’s really hard to talk calmly when you’r under alot of pressure.
THIS IS AMAZING. The guy playing Jeremy is such an amazing singer and actor!
Whoever sings Jeremy is a really good singer. Loved it 💛
The girl playing Christine is so cute and she looks like she's really having fun. Great job!
Usually school performances suck. This is one school performance that I can easily say, is the BEST.
Well I'm glad you liked it :)
This is pretty good for a school play....nvm....
THIS IS WAY TO GOOD FOR A SCHOOL PLAY!!!!
(I had to)
