This is flight 1 of 33 from my recent trip where I flew around the world. At the end of September through the beginning of October, I set out to fly around the Earth, and after 16 days, 13 airlines, 33 flights, and over 38,000 miles, I landed back in Kansas City, Missouri after visiting 13 different countries. Over the next 9 weeks I'll be posting these flights in order, so you too can take this incredible journey, exactly as I did! The flights will be posted every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday until all 33 flights are live! So, check back three times every week to take this incredible journey with me! Just wait until some of the Japan videos come out when it was torrential down pouring haha. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, and there's plenty more on the way. Thanks for watchman my friend!
Mmmm Those engines sing the sound of my people. I always scroll your videos looking for take offs or full flights sitting right in front of the engines on a 73. Great video as always.
I am really looking forward to the rest of this trip! I often forget that Kansas city has grounded planes at their airport (34:30), never really knew why though, but pretty cool to see a L-1011 back there
There's a BAC One-Elven in there somewhere too. The company that operates out of that old American/TWA hangar is a major overhaul company that converts retired passenger aircraft into freighters for cargo companies. They also do offer aircraft storage and heavy maintenance overhauls as well, but I think the storage part is way less now than during Covid. Air Canada had a ton of plane there during Covid. Anyway, there's some insight into their operation. I'm glad you're looking forward to the trip!
Wichita is actually one of my home airports. In fact, I live in Kansas so you could say it is my true home airport. That said, it is actually farther away from my home than JLN, SGF, XNA, TUL, and MCI. It takes me 3.5 hours to drive to ICT. So it ends up being an airport I don't use very often. I do have some ICT flights on here though. Just search "ICT sla31" or "ICT Skylite Productions"
Hey Traveler !! "Around the World on 33 Flights" The next great world adventure that takes less than the usual 80 days !! he he he he (see what I did there ??) It looks like he turned the approach path around with that pretty pirouette above the cloud deck ?? Someone get a fire extinguisher, the pilots hair is on FIRE !! Those clouds are really whizzing by, no??
I have, but it's been many years ago at this point. I've been there a few times when I was younger. It was a nice theme park that had a good selection of rides without the super busy crowds you'd get at somewhere like Disney or Universal.
Well I have all the places, airlines, and aircraft types shown on recent community posts here on YT, or on regular posts on my IG account. With 33 flights it’s kind of long to list out in every comment 😂. The countries are the U.S., Samoa, Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Finland, United Kingdom, Bahamas, and the Cayman Islands.
Well, if it's any consolation that isn't necessarily and aircraft boneyard. The company that operates there is a major overhaul company. They do several things but ultimately specialize in converting aircraft from passenger to cargo operations. So many of those aircraft there are simply waiting to be transformed into freighters. They do also store some aircraft there for airlines, although not nearly as many now post Covid. They also do heavy maintenance checks as well.
And he's OFF on his Super-Amazing Race around the world!! And there was Phil Koeghan to hand you your first clue. Remember, on this race, it's 7 years per hour and every second counts. Jeez... YT just interrupted your video with another STUPID Medicare Advantage ad!! Anyhow, love that countryside outside MCI. I'm telling you, things really ARE bigger in Texas. Those warehouses are Godzilla-sized! And so is the freeway interchange. Anyhow, I'll now get back to watching tonight's Lifetime movie, The Face I Can't Forget. The heroine has retrograde amnesia following a car crash and can't remember her husband or her daughter. But I don't trust her husband one precious bit. He seems like a total creep who's up to no good. When the heroine has amnesia, you KNOW that the villain will use it to his advantage and plot against her. There've been at least 3 movies with this theme on Lifetime recently, and they all involved total jerks of a husband.

Looking forward to the whole set of videos! In this one, I love the effect you captured as the water swept past the window during takeoff.
Just wait until some of the Japan videos come out when it was torrential down pouring haha. I'm glad you enjoyed this one, and there's plenty more on the way. Thanks for watchman my friend!
Amazing sound again! I feel like I could fall asleep with that CFM buzz in the background no matter the turbulence...
Glad you enjoyed it my friend!
I do….well…no turbulence….I put my air pods in, plug phone in and go right to sleep. I get the best sleep listening to these videos every night lol
Good morning

I like your in flight videos a lot. You should do in flight videos from Wichita’s airport

You flew on that day when I went to the airport to pick up my grandparents! I think I saw your plane land!
Did you see me waving? 😂
@@sla31 No. it was barley impossible, even though I looked at every individual window on the plane 😭

I should try to fly around the world as fast as possible. Around the world in 48 hours 😂
How many nights did you spend in a hotel? I hope you got some great food ! ❤
Well there was 16 days with actual flights. The routing and timing of some of the flights meant there were 18 nights in hotels.
MCI is a nice airport. Have you spent time at Worlds of Fun?
I have, but it's been many years ago at this point. I've been there a few times when I was younger. It was a nice theme park that had a good selection of rides without the super busy crowds you'd get at somewhere like Disney or Universal.
Looking forward to traveling the world....... On your RUclips videos 😂 But hopefully eventually
Nice nice superbe video ;) From France
Thanks for watching my friend!
Good morning
Good morning
Those poor ground dwellers, no sun for you! 🙂

Heavy landing,this one?l
Where is the full itinerary for the around the world flights? 😮

@@sla31 yeah that’s a lot haha, I just can’t wait to see each one
34:30 rare jets (747 mostly)
There's an L-1011 and BAC One-Eleven in there too.
Look at those 747's and other planes just parked in the field. Thats sad :(

Well they are not parked in a "field". They are on a paved ramp outside that maintanance building.
Did you see Mahomes
Every time I'm there, they have a statue of him in the terminal haha.
Do you like football?
👽✌️. 👀🚁💨. 🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁🚁
Have you ever been to China?
Technically yes, as I've been to Hong Kong. But I haven't been to mainland China.
Good morning
