I'm a Duke of Wellington Fan.
Nobody likes & wants a War!
A black african woman at Waterloo ?...evidence please or is that racist to ask ?. A single jamaican soldier fought at Waterloo but an african woman ???
Thank you.
Pellet? Shot or ball.
Well done
Never heard of this incident.
Thank you Ema very much!
Fantastic and Briliant ❤!!!!
It looks amazing in all respects but you need a whole film to explain how a black woman ends up passing as a male officer in Wellington's army and how this same woman ends up being married to an Irish woman.
Very confusing. What is going on??
Brilliant. Simply brilliant. A perfect 11minutes.
Been meaning to watch this for forever as I'm a huge Jessie Buckley fan. Thank you for uploading it on RUclips and thank you for this masterpiece!
Very well put together and like you say, stories like these are rarely told and need to be expanded on. I have a short WW2 film currently doing well at some festivals right now and being a actor myself (Or trying to be, for the matter) this is what makes me wanna do that more of hopefully. To be able to help tell stories like these. Great work again!
This was masterful on every level. From the performances to the craft - outstanding. Incredibly smart decisions made within the framework of short filmmaking - the economy of resources doesn’t make the story feel any smaller, given the implied scale just beyond each of the intimate frames.
Now that was unexpected. And affecting.
i read about this film a year or two ago and really wanted to check it out, so thank you so much for sharing it! an interesting and rarely told story with a great performance from jessie buckley (as usual). i think it's also very beautifully shot. i'd love to see a feature film with similar themes.
Powerful story and also looked great x
How did you get Jessie to do this project? Amazing, every time she's doing a project, me sitting right there ready to see what she's going to do. Must be a dream come true to work for her especially coming off from her excellent Oscar winning movie, Women Talking
🥰Jessie Buckley!
