Small Baetis Soft Hackle

Small Soft Hackles are a highly under rated fly pattern, and care very effective. Small soft hackle patterns can be difficult to tie because the legs are usually too long when you use standard tying methods for tying a partridge feather by the tip and wrapping it. By tying the legs in much like you would tying legs on a nymph, you can tie small soft hackles and keep the legs proportional to the hook size.
