Two movies to rent when he was a relatively ‘unknown’ actor: WOLF with Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer, and BABY BOOM with Diane Keaton and Sam Shepard. In both movies James played sleazy so brilliantly. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

First 4 seasons were amazing and now its just cringe show shit shitty writing, making up episodes one after the other with no vision for story. It all became completely ridiculus.

I’m still a newbie to The Blacklist but I binged all 8 seasons plus the episodes available in the 9th season in TWO WEEKS!!! And I worked full time. I was addicted & obsessed!! Plus I have no life 😂. But knowing there’s another season coming our way I am ecstatic!!!

@@seb-k5838 based on your two options I'll have to go with "impressive" because it's not an overreation. I was only getting "naps" during my non-working hours. And if I fell asleep during an episode.. I'd just go back to it after so I didn't miss anything. Like I said I was immediately addicted and obsessed!

He was born to play Raymond Reddington. Such a menacing performance but makes you cheer at the same time.

I think that James Spade is one of the few actors that "acting" even when is not acting. What I mean by that is, even on his real life he STILL looks like Raymond Reddington, or vice versa.
Or perhaps he is just himself in the show :)

Love this man, best show ever to be aired. He cracks me up, just the expressions alone are hilarious. How he manages to keep a straight face at times is beyond me. Rattling on about the qualities of the wine he is drinking whilst a man is being tortured is priceless. Looking forward to season 10, yep he is definitely Raymond Reddington. Would love to meet this legend of a man.

I loved him in Boston Legal. I've never seen the Blacklist - its not shown in our country (I think). I have two weeks holiday coming up. Guess what I'll be binge watching?

The Level when it started? The first Episodes of Season 1 were too predictable, it started getting good around the Middle of Season 1.

He deserves all the awards for the Blacklist. One of the best shows on television, in my opinion. The ending blew me away. It was inevitable, and once I could process it, I knew it was such a Red move. Brilliant show. ❤
+1 here, that was a real ending as Red would have like it. No one could stop him but himself and that is what he eventually chose to do. In a second he decided, that it was a good way to end it all, and he just let it happen. Thanks to Mr James Spader for being so damn good at being Raymond Reddington all of these years. Thank you for giving the character life! I could not imagine anyone doing a better job than he did, it was a pleasure and on so many ocassions, a lesson to watch him and this series all from season 1!

The last few episodes of season 9 were especially good. It feels like the writers have finally equaled the quality of the first 8 seasons. I still miss the incredible music that added to the emotion and drama.
