These bikes still look better than any motocrosser out there and the two stroker will always be the most incredible sounding bike and the true Motocross sound I adore this bike
Radical mother 125 ! I am 58 years old now back in 1986 I had this bike second-hand bought it had a low compression head on it it was used on the local motocross track as a professional racer. I traded it for a 79 Toyota Celica GT to the guy that owned it and I have never had more fun in my life it had a power band out-of-this-world ! I since then sold it and I wish I had it back now. What a fun little bike ! Me and my friends called it the radical mother 125 ! 😃
I've been watching your videos for a long time ,and I'm glad to see these rare bikes being brought back to new to show tge young generation how much better the bikes looked in the day
As usual, awesome perfection sir! I sure hope some kid gets that bike who will really appreciate it.... or at least some old fart that will :D! Nice Job as always!
@@kingdebary I rode a lot of dirt bikes in the seventies and eighties, whilst not the most powerful, these RM's handled like a dream, very easy to ride and maintain, great memories
much love and respect from Australia,i still have my older brothers RM125D that was handed down to me ,it became low low on compression to the point the only wat to start was to roll start the bike ,i didnt have the money to fix it and well it sat in my grandparents shed since 1995,unfortunately their property has just sold and everything must be taken away ,is there value in restoring this 1983 Suzuki Mr Kingdebary?its not as classic as this aluminium petrol tank model you have but its still pretty old
Thanks Peter. The 83 RM's are pretty popular bikes so I would say it's worth restoring. You can still get many parts for them. Vintage Suzuki in the US sells the plastic body kit
Hello. I just stumbled across your channel and love every one of you videos. I am hooked! Especially, this 77 RM125. I have been looking for a nice restored RM for a while now. How would one know if you wanted to sell one? Would you mention this in the video? Many thanks as I am a big fan.
@jasonmcmahon3426 I am fortunate to live about 10 miles from an oil company that also sells 93, 100 and 110 no ethanol gas. It works great and it's pretty reasonable prices too
There are quite a few good 2 stroke oils out there. For a racer I like Castrol 747. For bikes in the collection that I start from time to time I like Maxima 927 or Klotz mixed at 32:1 with 93 octane non ethanol gas. I am fortunate to have a fuel company close by that sells 93 and 100 octane non ethanol gas
Thanks.. I kind of thought running the modern synthetics at 20:1 in my 76 CR125 Elsinore was a bit much.. 32:1 is probably a safe balance .. Just acquired the bike and previous owner used 20:1 .. The bike is in amazing all original un-restored condition..original bore in great shape.. had to be very low time of riding...
I have a chance to buy a 1976 250 honda Elsinore, it's all there ,runs well guy wants $2500 ?what do think? The gas tank has a few little dents ! The air box is missing

Iconic Suzuki RM125. I was a little kid in 6th grade staring at pictures of this bike in the magazines.

Had one that I bought used in 1979.
Great bikes
I had a 1978 RM125 got it new for Christmas of 1978 I ran Bel Ray MC1 with Shell premium gas.
Great memories. If my memory is correct Shell premium at the pump was 102 octane.
I love your videos on all the old dirt bikes. I miss when you actually rode them up and down the road some.
@hanke8759 thank you. I will try to slip a few in of me riding them again. It's tough because we now have two sheriff's living in the development
Sounds great
Poppy poppy de pop....love it

No 1
Dig it!
Thanks
What octane is the klotz you run? That is sweet ride I'm building 76 rm125 and rm250 now getting parts together good hobby
Klotz is two stroke oil. I run 93 octane no ethanol gas
They sell race gas also I assumed that was your fuel I run sunoco race gas 93 was curious anyhow thanks for reply

What can I get for a complete 1980 rm125? Needs restoration but runs and everything is intact.
Depends on what it needs and what a potential buyer wants to do with it ( race, restore or just trail ride)
What 2 stroke oil and ratio do you trust in these beautiful restorations ?
