Joe, I really like your relationship with your dog. A lot of people don’t realize that the way they treat a dog has a direct effect of the dog’s personality. The better you treat a dog the more they develop a personality that you can relate and enjoy.
Same bro and also him like going forward to put his camera down then walking back and then going forward again for the shots walking to the shelter and tripper just sitting there going what are you doing
It’s interesting, I was just going through my subscribed list and found your channel again. It’s been a bit since I’ve watched your videos. The last time that I did I was in a very different time in my life. I was horribly depressed, I watched your videos for hours way late into the morning when I should have been resting. Thank you for doing what you do, thank you for bringing a little calm and peace into my life once more. Thank you.
@Bigdaddy Wolfy I completely understand his videos are helping me a little bit here now I am in a bad place now. Not where I would hurt someone else or myself just a very bad place. Thank you Joe for doing what you do.
I have the same type of shelter and my tarp overhang is a little longer. When I leave after my stay, I lower it down to cover the opening. I love your vids and your candor, keep it up.
Tripper is so fun to watch. He's often doing something in the background while you're working. Goofy pup! Thin coat means they need an extra coat when we do. They can also get sunburned.

Growing up in the city it’s refreshing to see a guy so comfortable in the elements. I love watch8ng Tripper as well. Wishing Joe and Family a Merry Christmas and food health in 2022!888
Always love joe’s style of doing things, and the fact he sometimes forgets some gear but that’s all part of the charm. Don’t let set backs hold you back.

Wow, how many slight changes to the weather in 1 day... Snow, blowing snow, heavy snow and sun shine. I hope Tripper adapts well to the sleeping arrangements for future winter camps. Can't wait for the next one.
Using a spare piece of paracord for measuring your flats for the bed seems like it would be easier, than carrying a log around to measure with. Love your vids man, keep em coming.
For your front cover plastic you might think about a clear shower curtain. I saw it on another bushcraft channel the shower curtain is thick and durable and has grommets in the top somewhat that can be used to lash it up.
Joe, have you ever thought of building a 4 sided shelter with a fireplace? Just found your channel about a week ago, have watched around 20 vids so far. Keep up the great work!
@Scottie M I don't think so. My sister has recently adopted two high energy dogs, and they are a pain in the ass to be around. It's fun to play with them when we go to the woods, but if I just want to chill and they can't calm down, it's extremely annoying.
Next summer you should add a big stone fire deflector, that will warm up and keep warm trough the nights durring winter season. Thanks for sharing, always fun watching, even more so the longer videos!
Always look forward to your videos, so I can live vicariously through them. Getting old bites. The brain still thinks the body can do things the body says, " No way, dudette!!" Thank you for the videos!

Hi Joe, Just a few cents of tips to share 1 Next time when you finished cooking, just oil the cast iron pan all over, don't use detergent , this will prevent or reduce rust. When u wanna use it again, just heat it up first and get rid of any rust by rubbing them with oil n wiping them off, then heat it. Pls dont eat rust man, they toxic! 2. For the bed, you might wanna cut some grooves or notches so the logs sit in tight. Good stuff n thanks for sharing your vids. Blessed Christmas to you and your loved ones n KC!!
