They can't keep their mouths shut for a second and let everybody know that you are there. You want to shoot them but you don't dare to expose your position even more than they themselves are doing so by exposing you by letting the whole damn forest know that you are there. What an incredible first alert system - you don't dare kill them. But there are two edges to that sword. I harvested an incredible moose that took eight years to realize because a loud-mouthed squirrel couldn't keep his mouth shut and ratted him out and didn't know I was in the area as well. Now I have two reasons not to shoot them on sight when I see them and are trying to rat me out. It's a love hate - but the ironic paradox of this little loud-mouthed self serving rodent, who is thinking he is doing everyone a favor and a service by letting them know who is in the woods at any given time and at any location - is only for one reason, and one reason alone! To make sure that his little slimy two-faced ass still remains alive after the shit hits the fan for whoever is involved. He's a wise little snitch - but this is why everyone hates a snitch. Wow... just wow. I took 2 trips to Saskatchewan for similar size bear who showed up on camera but never got to see him. Looking at this old big dude I am not sure I would shoot him. Something about just the honor of seeing such an old warrior.
The boar I saw in my back yard, some years ago, was a bit wider, estimated at around 500 to 800 lbs. My late neighbor & I, both hunted him hard, knowing he was possibly a Minnesota state record black bear, but he never came in to any bait stations made. He flattened areas of corn fields, & went straight to his den, never even seen on trail cams. He was suspectedly poached by someone in the area tired of their bird feeders being destroyed, before I could devise a strategy to get him in the legal season, or catch him on trail cams.
I`ve seen quite a few bears in my life but I was fishing on the Nth Saskatewan river on day and out the corner of my eye I saw what I thought was a black angus bull come out of the bush. To my surprise it was a massive black bear. He looked at me with absolutely no fear so I decided to jump in my jeep and cross the bridge to the other side and give him some space. I did not know they could get that large
My biggest here in Eastern PA is 630 dressed. We cant bait here unfortunately. Guy up the road missed state record at 768. There are some big boars here in the mountains
You can't fool a Bear's nose, it knew something is off by scent but it doesn't see anything and it shied away at first to see and confirm its a trap. It then saw them but they don't seem to pose a threat so the Bear is accessing the level of threat. Takes a bite to see if they will Challenge him for the meal at which they don't
Why not make sure that you are truly saved by Jesus Christ and practice this way. Remorsefully confess with your heart your sins to Jesus Christ who is God and tell Him that you right now are repenting of your sins and you want to be born again of the Spirit from above. Tell Jesus that you are remorsefully sorry for breaking His commandments and that you are begging for forgiveness from Him. Allow His blood from the cross to wash away your sins. After this is done with your heart successfully the Holy Spirit will come to live within you and He will rebuild you from the inside out. Look for signs that you are saved. Things like spreading the good news from Jesus, getting other people saved, a craving for the word of God, reading the Bible, etc… These things are known as a calling and fruit bearing. If you're not bearing fruit then keep doing it. Sometimes it takes time to get saved. Read Matthew chapter 13 from the King James Bible. God bless!!!!!!!
"WOW!" Not a big fan of hunting over bait - but that was intense. You got the feeling that that battle-scared old seasoned warrior; sensed danger had his sights on him - somewhere - right then, right there, and right now. We can sense this too, and this is why we hunt. It keeps us on our edge. Great video!
I was thinking is he gonna shoot it would have been a much shorter video with me on the trigger but then I use a Xbow and it is in my lap most of the time and would have been in my hands long before that bear was there lol but got her done and congratulations on a monster!

I’m watching bear encounters in Sask. Sitting at my kitchen table getting ready to go to bear country! Remote fishing spot! Bears have already been in camp… so know I lived a good life. I have bear spray & hubby has guns BUT I’ll probably get bear spray in my eyes and then shoot my foot or something! Make the bear a nice platter of chubby lady stew 👁👁

@@Kenneth_James it actually isn't lazy at all... baiting takes a lot of time and work. It is a very good way to ensure that you shoot a big mature boar and not a sow or young boar. These videos only show a very small portion of the hunt, what they don't show are the weeks or months of preparation that go into running a bait, not to mention that in order to have a successful bear bait it take years to establish a good bait site. It not like you just throw food down and they come haha

@@Kenneth_James it actually isn't lazy at all... baiting takes a lot of time and work. It is a very good way to ensure that you shoot a big mature boar and not a sow or young boar. These videos only show a very small portion of the hunt, what they don't show are the weeks or months of preparation that go into running a bait, not to mention that in order to have a successful bear bait it take years to establish a good bait site. It not like you just throw food down and they come haha
