With the music and the way the viperfish is floating in the abyss, it seems like it just got life-changing news and is introspectively thinking what to do next.
I tried researching what the “substance not know to science” is that covers them. Nothing. I get researching a rare deep sea fish isn’t a top priority, but isn’t it weird that we’ve managed to catch them (meaning we probably dissected at least a few in a lab), and yet we can’t identify this weird, clear substance that’s covering them? That’s pretty alien, and really cool. They apparently also don’t have scales - just the appearance of scales. Whatever this substance is (it's described as being ‘crystalline’ in one report I found), it must be both lightweight and tough.
@@Argumemnon I agree, but I figured they just meant "not well documented". It's probably on-file at some obscure marine science lab _somewhere,_ but it's not ground-breaking or news worthy enough to make headlines. I'd love to know what it is, though.
"Then God created all the fish in the sea" Me looking at the viperfish: It's scary looking, why? Are we suppose to stay away from it? Why do all these fish look so freaky?
Very cool, I think the fish is cute. I am always fascinated by creatures of the deep, I hope megalodon will be rediscovered again some day or even a mega huge oar fish! It's pretty neat how the deep sea looks like space too. I think if life can find a way in such a harsh environment then I believe there has to be life on other planets as well. Imagine a planet of deep water, could have crazy looking animals like these fish. It's fun to think about.
Wonderful, thank you very much! I'm just sad to know that someone had dragged it to the surface, where it doesn't belong, no surprise it didn't survive long!
Why do deep sea fish have such weird jelly icicle looking teeth that are somehow still really sharp Their teeth are always weird and you never see another deep sea fish with the same teeth pattern, even if they’re the same species coming from the same parent
It's anxiety inducing how close their needle teeth are close to poking themselves in the eyes.
They can't see it, so they don't care.

It needs to make a proper insurance plan
to me he just looks like he drowned, sure hope he goes toward the light☹️
@@angelo.3463 Apparently they stay still in place with nothing but the little light on their head to lure in prey

So cool!
Not enough scientists or funding
It's actually an scp
"Substance not known to science" raises a red flag. Sounds like an exaggeration to me.

So much to explore in our ocean and many species to discover, I really hope we achieve that in this century
SAID EVERY SCIENCE LOVING MIND SINCE THE 1700S
I did a report on these for school when I was very young. There's about the same amount of information available on them now as there was then.
It looks like a french bulldog that survived in the sea
Never been recorded alive by a person, only ROVs have seen it... Thats crazy.
I don't think any person would want to encounter it personal.
So people can go to space, but can barely explore our own ocean entirely. Makes sense.
Love these so much! Can't wait for more in the future!
came for the fish, stayed for the music
It just wants to be loved.
I love the fish and I love the music
Real creepy version of All the things you are

Their teeth are always weird and you never see another deep sea fish with the same teeth pattern, even if they’re the same species coming from the same parent
Who has freakier teeth?
Viperfish or Fangtooth?
Viperfish. It has the record of largest teeth relative to head size.
Anglerfish
Phenomally beautiful creatures.

Hey its a gerald fish from the roblox wild west lol.
Give me night mares i dare you
Das creepy
I'm Scared!
I'm more afraid of him than he is of me 😨
I don’t find it terrifying if it’s 30 cm or smaller Lol
This thing can bite your arm off it it needs to
I highly doubt it can bite your arm off but that doesn’t mean he’ll leave you bleeding Ands it’s also muscular but not strong enough to rip an arm off
This thing might not bite your arm off but it has a type of mouth that can bite and trap fish in its mouth and stab it to death in his mouth
Knox Cool exactly
I love our alien world
