Hi, thank you for your review. I have been using Sistaco for a year and the new matte shades are not working for me either in fact Berry Bliss stained my nails which I’m still growing out. However I love the metallic, Holographic and some classic powders. Some powders are easier to apply than others. What I love about the system is there’s no smell, it’s easy to apply (not the matte colours) and remove and the condition of my nails has improved since using it. There is a Facebook group that has been a huge help with lots of tips and advice. I think you have picked some of the most difficult to apply powders. I understand you being disappointed
Story of my life 😂 picking the hardest options first!!! The very last colour I tried, the holographic, looked so good - I think I had just got so annoyed by then… I’ll leave it on the shelf for a while and might try it again 🙂
If you find the removal easy... you must have worked it out better than I have. I have used the rapid and express remover and it's such a struggle. I DO have arthritic hands, though, so that might have something to do with it. Sometimes in my struggles I feel the difficulty of removal outweighs the ease of application
I’ve been using Sistaco for an entire year now. And I mostly love it sometimes hate it. I think the biggest problem that you’re having is that when you are setting the first basecoat, you should not set it for a full three minutes. If you only do it for one minute, and then put the topcoat on set that for one minute, then put your powders on it will be a lot better. A little bit heavier with the powder, but not much. And do a stroke from the base to the tip. Don’t dab it on.then set the topcoat at three minutes. Like you said, you have to put a thin layer on or you’ll get the heat spike. I find that this product wears very well, but I do have a lot of problem taking it off.
This sounds like the most interesting advice I’ve been given so far 🥰 When I’ve mustered up the courage I will have another go at it. The supplied instructions wernt great tbh. I used the card they sent with the pots, that’s different from the advice on their website… very annoying. Are you soaking it off? Or using the stuff you paint on?
I've only used the system a few times, and I love the wear. The only thing I think I see that you might want to try, if you decide to use the system again, is to press the product into the nail instead of swiping it on with the applicator and once you have the proper coverage you use the brush to brush the remnants off. I watched a tutorial, and that is how they do it. That's what I do, and the coverage is pretty good. I haven't tried the matte colors yet, so I can't say for sure if that will make a difference. I definitely want to try the matte myself and see how well it works.
I’ve still got all my stuff so I will try again. It just seemed harder than it should have been 🤷🏻♀️…. See how you go with the matte and let me know 🥰
I just recently got the system, but what works well with me is dabbing it on rather than brushing. I also start really light and keep building the color. It does feel like I'm using more powder than I'm supposed to be. I agree that instructions are terrible and inconsistent! My biggest challenge ended up being keeping the topcoat consistently light.
I just got this a few days ago, and I applied and I have been so very happy. I only tried holographic colors with gloss top coat. I am yet to try the classic and a few matte ones too. I haven't removed it yet either. But the holographic colors are just so beautiful, and for me application was very easy. Maybe the different color types are quite different. For holographic it is definitely worth it! (I did apply the holographic color using instructions that I think are for classic - base coat, bake, powder, gloss top coat, bake)
I've had my kit for over a year now. It definitely IS a steep learning curve. I press it in quite thickly and go over it again if it looks patchy. I brush off any excess powder and use a buffer to get it off the skin BEFORE I put on the top coat. Persevere, it's worth it. I think you're putting it on too, too lightly. I still struggle with the removal rather than the application. I think that's because I have arthritis in my hands. I haven't tried the matte I must admit, but I think you have to buff it between coats. I wouldn't be without SISTACO now
These classic powders work much better with the little brush tip, not the sponges. The sponges give a beautiful finish on the Holographic and Metallic finishes. The brush applies the powder heaps better for the classic shades. My hubby gave me a set for last Christmas and I love them all. So easy, fantastic value and outlasts regular polish and gels on my very weak and thin nails by at least a week! I wish you luck in figuring it out. It is so worth it!
I’m deep into dip powders atm, but I still have all my kit and will no doubt have another go at some point. I’ve been given a few tips by lovely ppl in the comments so hopefully I can do better 🥰
Thank you for your review. I've never tried this product, and was needing an honest review. Because this system is quite expensive, I am very hesitant. Your review confirmed that this is not for me. Thanks a bunch!!
@@bronwynmulqueen4860 I do my own manicures and pedicures every week year round. Each cost me just pennies. So for me, it's a large investment ,not knowing if I'd like it. They should offer a trial package at $25 or so.
@@miriam2909 oh yeah there is a learning curve and I’ve definitely damaged my nails, but all of the damage was self inflicted by not doing things properly 😂
I actually bought a kit! I’ve used it twice and love it. Because the base coat is tacky after curing, I dabbed the powder on. Coverage was great. I kept dabbing until I could gently wipe excess off with the brush. Top coat cure and voila. 4 days ago I tried a different colour. Coverage wasn’t as rich so the next day I did the whole process again over the top. It’s been fantastic and no sign of wear at all. Both were classic colours. When using the metallic it will go over a dry top coat and I’ll be able to gently wipe the colour on, but that’s the next experiment lol. So far I’m really impressed and the bright blue sparkling colour I’m wearing looks very professional. I love this system and I’m glad I gave it a try. Don’t think I could ever go back to regular nail polish.
I’ve been obsessed with them since I think 2013? Maybe a tad later. I didn’t actually get a kit until today. I first loved the company when they had like 5 shades. I got a 6 piece set second hand, and it’s pretty nice. I do wanna test the Matte that I’ve got. But all the others seem great. I did the opposite of the instructions and I added an extra layer. I also had no no idea that you had to remove the blue layer in the LED light
Thank you for the review. I have been thinking about this product line and watching many reviews. I’m not sure it’s worth the investment for me. It seems that many people have trouble with the matte colors.
Thank you so much for your reviews I’m finding them so useful. I cant wait to see your Glamdip review 😊 and I wondered if you’d tried Dipped uk or Future Nails and what was your thoughts?
Glamrdip is coming out next Friday!! I have some dipped uk powders that I’m experimenting with (all good so far), need to get their liquids to try as well. Not tried future nails yet… More importantly, who’s the fluffer in your pic? 😂 🐶 is it a Samoyed??
You’re the second person to tell me that 🤦🏻♀️ story of my life 🤣 they should rate the difficulty level of the powder on their website… the holographic one looked awesome. I will go back to it, I might even try using the holographic powder over dip powder; I love the feeling of acrylic nails 🥰
So glad I found your video, I am a total failure at painting nails and thought this would work for me and be something I could do with my grand baby but that heat spike thing and the fact that you have to be oh so careful with this that and the other puts me off. Not going to buy.
I didn’t want to sound overly dramatic but bloody hell it hurt, and when your not expecting it as well 😭 I have used the liquids since and it’s not happened again, but the powders are still rubbish.
Do you realize that you put your finger under the light in the back side instead of the front? I haven’t read comments so this might be mentioned before. Great video!
It has been mentioned before but unless I’m missing something it doesn’t matter!? It’s an arch light, like a U shape so I’m guessing it’s ok no matter what side you use. 🤷🏻♀️ I hope that doesn’t sound argumentative, it’s not 🥰
I’ve started using normal gel on my nails now, but I’ve not had a heat spike since. I probably just did it too thickly but when your not expecting it, I was quite shocked 😳
If my channel gets bigger and someone wants to send me one, hell yeah! 😂 I’ve used epilators and I always get really bad ingrown hairs… shaving is the only thing that works for me 🪒
So I’m travelling in a caravan and really trying to find ways to be more convenient with my storage space and water usage so a laser hair removal tool would save me time, water and storage space and so would the nail kit, had that worked! I hope you get heaps of followers coz you’re doing a massive community service!
What is she on? 😂 maybe if she didn't leave it so long before application and talk so much and actuality used the lamp properly, she wouldnt have any problems
Thanks for the feedback but I am, alas, a born waffler 😂 I wasn’t aware that gel polish products needed to be cured within a set time? Is that something particular with this brand?
Newbie at nails. Bought the kit. Love it. So easy. Lasts ages. I’ve got 20 colours now
Awesome 🤩
Thank you so much for doing this! Saved me a lot of money and frustration. I knew it was too good to be true.
Some ppl seem to like it 🤷🏻♀️ I couldn’t get on with it. I love doin the dip powder nails tho 🥰 💅🏻

Brilliant attempts, thank you for saving me from this. Heat spikes are awful, i used to get them at a salon and it just put me off
it was a bit of a shocker..... plus the powder didnt even go on that nice anyway 😕
