A quick tip about removal from the former nail tech. Rip apart a cotton disk and soak in acetone, apply nail sized pieces to your nails and wrap your fingers in a bit of foil. You can speed up the process by wrapping your hand in a hot towel but it’s not essential. Much less messy that way and comes off almost as quickly. Plus, you can get on with other things while your fingers are wrapped and it uses far less product.
Thank you for sharing this Hayley, I too am on my first ever try of Sassy Saints. Sadly I encountered my first deep chip after 5 days, but it was my fault (I was trying to prize something open). I did the acetone soak off for that one nail, I did everything except…I didn’t bother with the rice (just hot water, ziplock bag, pad and coconut oil). I too used a random brand acetone. It came off in 5 mins which is unreal! Way quicker than gel.
Thanks for making these videos about this kit. I just ordered one today (sadly before finding your channel and your discount code) and am very excited that the nails actually last a full two weeks. I don't have children or a garden, but I do play roller derby, so I always want my nails (though short) to be smooth and hard so they don't catch on things, break easily or scratch anyone. Hopefully the nice colours will be a bonus!
Ooooooh roller derby!!! I tried to get into that 10 years ago, then I remembered I couldn’t skate 🤣 what’s that film with Juliette Lewis, I can’t remember….. anyway, nails 💅🏻 😂 If you follow the tutorial from SS you will be fine, I’m on my second set now (I’m making a video comparing SS to lavender violets) I have improved already, still some faults I want to sort out on my third set!
When I had my acrylics soaked off they used a soak off bowl. You put warm water in the base then put acetone into the five little sections. Place your nails in and wait. I have purchased a couple of these bowls to take of my sassy colours instead of using the rice method
I am going to try those glass balls that are used for flowers at the bottom. I also have an electric nail file so easy to take off top coat. I did add avocado oil in the bag with the acetone. It worked fine and actually easier that using an electric file to take down nail gel.
Hey everyone! Speaking from my own experience from last Friday, I will give you all the details. One hand I tried in many different ways and the other with this method and I got the nail polish went straight off, so easy that I couldn't believe it myself. 😅 You need: - a nail file - a ziplock bag - acetone - some cotton pads - a bowl with hot wather ( not burning hot, just as much as you fell right) - aluminium foil. Process: prepare the water. Prepare the pads with the dimension that goes on your fingernail. Rip aluminium into pieces that will cover your finger. Use the file to remove the shiny part. Put the acetone on the pad, wrap it in aluminium foil. Do the process quickly for all nails and insert in the bag and put the bag in the bowl with hot water. Keep your nails in the water for about 5 - 7 minutes and the nail polish comes right off. In needed, you can wrap a once more, for a little longer. That's all. But you need the hot water or it doesn't come off.
Yeah I didn’t realise this when I ordered the kit. The removal kit isn’t included, you have to buy it separately, or buy your own bits from other websites (which is cheaper to be fair). In the kit I bought it included a sample removal kit, there wasn’t enough acetone so I had to buy more of my own anyway.
usually the more layers you put on, the easier it chips, so try to put on only two layers, especially if you have a light colour like the one you used. with darker colours I usually only put on a maximum of 3 layers, but usually only two are enough.
Previously I used another dip in products and I could tell you that all of it doesn't matter the brand lasts only for two weeks. Unless you are not doing anything: no housework, no gardening....
I bought a sassy saints nail kit and tried my first time- was really impressed and they’ve lasted more than 3 weeks. Just about to take them off and re do them :) it’s probably too late but I’d vote number 2!
Thankyou for taking the time to comment x i did choose number 2, i think!? it was a long time ago hahaha - i should be releasing the Sassy Saints Vs Lavendar Violets results video this friday! I'm glad you enjoyed using the kit, it is such a cool easy way to get nice nails at home, it can, however, turn into a bit of an obsession! my poor bank account...... lol
another advice I can give you all, is to use aluminium paper, file the colour on your nail, you soak a small piece of cotton in the acetone, put it softly on your nail and wrap it with the foil. leave it for 5 minutes, and it will very easily come out.
Hi 👋🏻 this was a removal of my first SS mani (the purple), the next set I did was a comparison video; SS versus Lavender Violets where I used the SS bubblegum bombshell and a grey from LV. HTH 😍

I’m really not happy with this rice mess 😂 it worked but it’s giving me sensory overload!!
Do you think soaking in acetone damages your nail?

i definitely want to ditch the rice! just have to keep trying.. we'll get it right eventually hahaha

I have since bought those bowls as well 🥰 tbh tho I tend to file my colour off now because I change it so often 😂
thanks for the follow up vid!
Glad you liked it 👍
Number 2 looks pretty!

I use ceramic baking beans now, much better than rice!
E files are also a big help 🥰
Oh boy I've just started watching this as I've done my first hand for the first time... 😮😮😮😮
Fear not! It’ll all work out fine 😂 🥰
Thank you for doing these videos been curious about the dip nails😂
When I bought my original kit I had no idea what I was getting myself into 😂 obsessed now!!

Thankyou for taking the time to comment 🥰
I didn't get the acetone, papers or bag in my kit? I've had to order everything online from a well known website.
Yeah I didn’t realise this when I ordered the kit.

I’m really hard on my hands, I think 2 weeks is a win for me 🥰
LV liquids are GREAT.!! I use them regularly
Tbh they do seem to be the best so far, I have just got a glam drip kit to test, so will see how I go with those 👍
@@hayley-DNA idk what that is. #Google...🤣🤣🤣

This video is a bit confusing… I thought you were doing the bubble gum pink from sassy saints?
Hi 👋🏻 this was a removal of my first SS mani (the purple), the next set I did was a comparison video; SS versus Lavender Violets where I used the SS bubblegum bombshell and a grey from LV. HTH 😍
