    Point to add
"GATE" is the box that shows around the new target when selected.
Size keeps reducing as processor gains confidence.
This process is called "Rate Aiding"
    Advantages of reduced GATE
    1) lower chance of target swap
    2) Improved ability to track target through rain and sea clutter
    3)Early indication of target's motion

Good day, sir. I recently joined a vessel and conducted a Radar self-test. During the test, I encountered several errors. The temperature of the RF unit monitor exceeded the maximum specified value, measuring 39.1°C instead of the expected 27.3°C. The high voltage reading was lower than expected, measuring 317.1V instead of 527.9V. The radar monitor displayed a higher value than the expected value, showing 5.0 instead of 1.6. The magnetron current range should be within the specified value, but the RF unit monitor showed a higher reading of 2.1A instead of 1.5A. Furthermore, the trigger frequency was significantly lower than the expected value, measuring 451 Hz instead of 2273 Hz. Additionally, the ARPA and AIS targets were not appearing on the Radar display. Could you please assist me in identifying the problem?
