Phil your guns make me happy. Your partnership with Charles St.George is a huge leap forward in the market for reliable, quality, firearms at a reasonable price. Hopefully the rumors of a .22wmr semi are not just a pipe dream. Hiding money from the wife as I write this to pick up a new MPAR556.
Took my mpar to the range today, very good group. Used Federal. I have several different mags. The temperature outside was 30. Not sure if it was my mags or the CLP freezing up and the bolt sticking. Failure to feed every other shot, sometimes the round would be caught between the bolt and the chamber ramp bend/warping the round. Used different pro mag and metal mags same thing jammed up bent up rounds. Not sure if its the lube freezing up or if the gun just doesnt like the 6 different mags i used. Sometimes I could fire 3 rounds no problem, then jam, remove mag, pull bolt back, drop the bent up round, and reinsert the mag and cycle again. If i were in a firefight I would be dead.

Nice alternative to the Ar-15. Really glad to see a resurgence in older guns with an interesting history. I got a chance to shoot a buddies at an outdoor range. A lot of fun and quite accurate for the price.
I have an Australian Automatic Arms SAP sitting beside me right now and this thing is identical!! Good work in replicating an old rare awesome rifle ;-)..
Is all that inside Gholston Stand store or in the Madico Industrial Park? Do you have a showroom/ visitors center? I have a friend who showed me his 9mm MA pistol and told me what awesome CS you gave him! He sasid 30-45 minutes in and out and his glitch was gone!!! Please consider Danielsville Pawn as a local distributor !!! Steve is awesome and one of our favorite dealers!!! Thanks for making Madison County Georgia a proud producer of such a fine line of products!!!!
John, we will have the new style handguard for the pistol within the next 2-3 weeks. On the buffer tube, we will be offering an accessory that would include a complete assy with the side folder mechanism and buffer tube for the SB15. It will also be available by the end of July. We are working on the new gas system retrofit kit for existing MPAR's. That will be out by end of summer.
Will your receiver on your MPAR GEN 2 ... handle the energy of a Nato 7.62x51(.308) round?....a lot of folks are looking for a dedicated battle rifle ..in .308. but to keep it all steel receiver. I will be your first customer if you put one together ..for around $1,350.00. to $1,400. I like the Vepr 54r or .308 because of its ALL STEEL CONSTRUCTION, though I want to see an American company put together an all steel like the Vepr in those calibers mentioned above...with the similarities of your AR type platform such as your MPAR 556 GEN 2.
Can't wait for the release! How soon til retailers receive them? Will it be extra for the cerakoted flavors? Props to you for make the corrections from the first model.
Yes. We finally have a design in place that will allow the MPAR300 Blackout Pistol's piston system to drive both subsonic and hypersonic ammo. These should be on the market within the next month or two.
I got mine on order it seems to not have the piston adjustment the gen 2 has when I bring it home will there be a upgrade available if indeed in does not have it. please let me know. I was also curious to know if there will be any torture testing on the rifle I love this sexy gun would like to see her get dirty thank you.
Hey, Phil, I had an original AR-18 back in the 80's, and I think it used 16 ga. steel on both the upper and lower receivers. Do you use the same on the MPAR? Awesome weapon, sir! :)
I redact the comment below about MPA, Phil Cashin, and the MPAR556/300 in good faith since a satisfactory settlement has been reached between myself and Mr. Cashin. Frank Black
+kuruz1968 Takes $10 in parts to fix. Extra power hammer spring, and a new extractor pin. Check Ragequit003's video for how to fix the extractor pin. Only thing you might have to pick up if you don't already have it would be a dremel, which can be had from Wally World for $30, and you'll find other uses for it. The weight isn't the problem; it's the balance. But it's a piston design and has a fairly chunky gas block, can't get around that.
Out of the box, brand new; I shouldn't have to do Masterpiece Arms' job. I can't help but not recommend a rifle that can only be used after the buyer spends more money to fix a product that should've been fixed by the lazy-ass manufacturer. Junk.
I have this rifle in 300 blackout and its been fantastic. Had some feeding issues but it was just a junky mag. Since replacing it I have put a thousand rounds through it with no issues.
I was told by an owner that you folks have turned your back on this rifle and don't give any support to those who bought one. Pretty sad if this is true. Guess owners will have to fix their own problems or find a good, creative gun smith.

Looks a lot like an AR180.
is the reciever stamped or commercial square tubing?
CNC Laser cut, formed on CNC press brake.

It is freaking heavy also.
How do you remove the piston for cleaning with the new hand guard/gas adjuster? Is it removable through the adjuster like a FAL?
