  • I use 50 WS2812B RGB LEDs and an ESP8266 to build obnoxious lighting effects into a cloak for costumes.

      Do it! It's super simple, but really effective for adding interesting effects to things. I can share the source code if you need any help putting the code together for it, the only thing to remember is that you don't want to power the led strip from an IO pin ( use the VIN pin. )
