  • Just a quick video showing some desk art I put together with cheap bearing balls and old hard drive magnets! I also show my current process for finishing 3D prints. There are a lot of things you can do with computers before you throw them out, removing the magnets from hard drives is one example!

How’d I miss this?? That is totally cool! I could truly see myself doing this to relieve stress. Seriously, what an easy and creative project!

Thank you! You can order the bearing balls and magnets from China for crazy cheap so you don't have to take all these crusty hard drives apart. You could really make some cute stuff getting creative with the container or platform you build it off! If you make something I'd love to see it!

Thank you! I've since taken apart some of those magnetic building toys and pulled all the magnets out of them as well, hahaha. You can make super complex stuff with it now, and I've even started using it for photography, so I may make a quick follow up video with all that at some point. Def. worth a try!
