I love the concept of it! Finizen is a dolphin *Citizen,* while palafin is a Clark Kent-like Pokémon. Looks like a normal citizen, then disappears from the public to then return as a superhero.
I guess the level 38 evolve is a reference to Superman's debut in 1938, then! Neat.
Palafin might be as in paladin? Idk, maybe.

@@lucaengemann4375 Nah, Choice Band was strong but not enough to get it banned from OU. Drain Punch + Bulk Up is what got it banned. It had too much defense and healing capabilities to be taken out, making almost nothing capable of stalling it.

I saw a video about someone color blind who had trouble seeing the difference between the two even when they are right next to each other. Also, unlike Legends Arceus that had a vary obvious sound when you saw a shiny, S&V is not so helpful.

The OU tier is the main format anything in ubers is the banlist
@@Hensley_Jb Main format or not, it's still a fan-made battle simulator. Also, while OU is the most played format, it's generally not to the point of making all others irrelevant. Don't have time to find official numbers. (Looked briefly, found numbers of games per tier, but there are tons of tiers and years of info.) However, from some graphs it seems like the main OU tier has maybe 1/4 of all Showdown games? At least during some months when gen 8 was most recent.

As cool as the concept it, I REALLY wish there was a way for Palafin to just stay in Hero Form even outside of battle
As someone who used Palafin ingame for a playthrough, the Zero to Hero abiloty is far more debilitating ingame than in competitive singles. Why would I spend multiple turns switching my Palafin out, then bringing it in to OHKO when the majority of my team can do the same thing with none of the hoops to jump through? It only ever got REAL use in the Geeta fight, where I fell back on Palafin as a setup sweeper, with Jet Punch, Ice Punch and Bulk Up to run her team through. And even then, I was underlevelled, so I could have just... fought ANY of the trainers in the open world, whom I skipped ALL of.
Azumarill is far better for ingame, since Huge Power gives it a comparable Atk stat for none of the fuss, you get it coupled with the AMAZING Fairy typing and you get it by L18 without needing to Union Circle, instead of L38 and doing online fuckery. And that's just ONE option

I’ve seen this deck in action and even without extra linking it can make some surprisingly oppressive boards. I also realized a lot of plant monsters decks are about controlling the board going all the way back to plant synchro.
This thing is such a cool concept for a Pokémon but so absurdly overpowered. Love it

Drathron goes so hard as a capstone bakugan. Big, complex, and genuinely functional in an average game. 10/10
Though I wasn't expecting bakumorphs to be knocked as hard as they did 😭. Jokes aside I can see it, I just still love bakumorphs for being bakugan you can actually pose and articulate.
Not the best draft to the idea, I agree, but I will give them points for likely inspiring ultraballs in the reboot. I also definitely see a much more refined and improved version returning in the future.

Well ,paladin was predicted a long time ago by I don’t know. There was a Pokémon fire red rom hack I played during lockdown if I remember correctly that was Pokémon fire red master quest. You can even download it and play it run. In viridian forest , the last bug Catcher Pokémon trainer had a palafin that was grass water type but ther sprites are same to same .If you won’t believe me you can try.
I named my shiny Henry Cavill we all deserve him as superman .... HE IS MY SUPERMAN !!!!!! also dolphin is cool

Ignoring the annoying activation requirement of switching out and back in, I hate it for personal reasons. Back in Gen 7, I was annoyed that the water starter was a sea lion that becomes a mermaid, instead of a dolphin that becomes a mermaid. This thing just rubs salt in that old wound.
Don’t worry about needing the union circle, you can naturally find Palafins in 5 star Tera raids
There is one bad thing about this Pokémon, It's Evolution changes nothing from the previous form, I will give it a pass because of it's ability changing the appearance of this Pokémon.

Unpopular opinion: I don't like the hero form but otherwise I adore so I had one on my team but I tried to use its ability as little as possible (it made the game the tiniest bit more challenging)

Okay I feel like they should have made the base form for the evolution be the design for the unevolved form and make the transformation form of the evolution into the base form of the evolution because the evolutions base form just looks like the same thing for some extra patterns and the transformation form looks entirely different and much cooler and the mechanic for getting it to look like that being to take it out of battle scenes kind of weird
So it is basically a reference to Superman, Allmight, Neo...
You also wanna tell people that it's evolution is disappointing, like bruh it just gets a heart on its chest when it evolves
