When i saw u use the normal universal joints i was just like: dafuc? Once it was finished i was like thats just an normal universal joint with extra steps lol
that last one also have linear transfer, so the speed on the outshaft is always same, were with traditional Cardan's shaft you have sinusoidal transfer and the outshaft's speed is constantly changing. Thats why they are almost always used in pairs
Thanks for these amazing ideas, i’ll be using them in my lego builds since don’t have much universal joints. They are are also surprisingly simple to build.
I assume any time a ride breaks at Disney it is because the audio-animatronics are built entirely with the joint at 2:14 haha! Love the channel by the way I am learning so much.
#5 is a constant velocity joint, not a universal joint. The difference is that a universal joint has a fluctuating output based on the rotation of the yolk itself, however a constant velocity joint does not have this issue, and the rotational speed of either end remains constant.
@@in1 oh cool. I've been trying to figure out the best way to make a mechanism in a build. Basically, I'm going for a Legacy version of the Nindroid Mech Dragon from the ninjago theme and want to use the sawblades on top of the wings to operate six shot launchers on the fronts of said wings
the fifth one was originally made by Lego Technic mastery

no thanks for you credit
Future video idea: make joint number 5 out of custom universal joints.
:)
FRACTAL UNIVERSAL
That last one is very good because if you replace the actual joints by angled peices you can get a fixed angle
that last one also have linear transfer, so the speed on the outshaft is always same, were with traditional Cardan's shaft you have sinusoidal transfer and the outshaft's speed is constantly changing. Thats why they are almost always used in pairs

Those were pretty insane building technics, wow you ABSOLUTELY amazed me
Great video! I’ll have to use these ideas because the real ones are so weak!
I had the same problem with them cracking the splines In half so I ordered 10 steel ones on eBay for $16 and never broke another one since.
I like #4 most, because it's so elegant and frictionless and I like #5 for it basically being "don't like universal joints? How about 3?" xD
3:52 When you have too much small universal joints
5, this most useful for suspension with a drive.
3, very good replacement.
Thank you
#5 "We heard you like universal joints, so we put universal joints in your universal joint so you can universal joint while you universal joint."
Thanks bro for making this video because I was searching for a rear suspension without universal joint so Thanks a lot for helping
This is so cool! I dont have enough universal joints now i can make then thanks for the vid!
Awesome techniques!

Great idea universal joints aren't very common
Thank you for this video!
that one was really interesting and unique
Wasn’t 4 and 2 the same? Just 4 was smaller?
Wow, thanks. Any small designs?
Not really, but obviously you can still use the original one
@@in1 Thanks
This is very great👍

You're right, but I didn't wanted to make it too complicated :)
Good idea I love it
THANK YOU!
Idea on video: How to build a diferencial.
I actually already did that: ruclips.net/video/qJGWYRDZIkc/видео.html
@@in1 Thank you so much
Пятая идея такай типо: у меня нет одного поворотного механизма, надо заменить. Для замены нужно 3 поворотных механизма.
#3 where did you find rubber bands that small?
I found a box of "loom bands" somewhere, and they turned out to be very useful for Lego
wow it so perfect
the last one is a cardan shaft
Had to wait all the way to the end for the constant velocity one.
cool!
I only have 1 universal joint so this vid is usefull
Next: 5 different custom joints (funny joke if you get it)
Instead of using a u-joint you can use... 3
Idea how to build a large heavy duty axle
It's sounds like you need technic bricks depending on the length pinned on the ends 2 1x2 brick with axle holes on both.
anyone notice whichever joint he makes it does not reach the 90 degree angle ?😓
You can modify the last one for that...
For example part number 45 pinned by a haft pin.
U-joints don't function very well at 90 degrees. No reason to show them there.
Ok
ok @@in1 thank you for the reply 🙂
Hello, I want to know where you get these tools from
Some old lego technic sets
@@in1 What is its model?
I don't realy know, it's multiple sets
Finally i can make mine human whit movin legs and arms
Yess
Last one be like: I used the universal joints to make the universal joints
How does nr 4 not fall apart for you
The 5th one didn't count we don't make universal joints from universal joints we would use those instead
shhh :)
ok
When u need a piece but dont have much of Them, and watch this video for hints, thx
Imagine showing an engineer number 3 💀
ty very much
No. 5 looks the coolest but there is no point of using 3 universal joints to make 1
Theoretically, this is a constant velocity joint, but practically it's the same
Youre the best
4:34 - у тебя нет такой детали ? Возьми таких 3 и сделав большой кардан !
Это очень интерестно и уникально!!
make #5 with 3 #5s
4:14 we asked you how to make a universal joint WITHOUT a universal joint :(
wow cool bro cool i even afigel
Спасибо большое тебе
at no5 u can just use a 1 universal joints

@@in1 I need something that can convert the movement through a right angle. But idk what all can do that
What kind of movement? Rotation?
You are a genius!
Спасибо давно искал что то на подобие

Stop copying my designs! I uploaded 2 months before you
You're right, the design is similar, but if we had the same thought process it's not that unlikely
#2 and #4 similar
