Thank you! Someone commented yesterday that it was 'fake' and 'plastic'. It's fair to say that I don't smile as much in real life, but I've been told that my neutral expression makes me look unhappy, so I try to smile as much as possible😆
I've lost count of the number of times that people have said to me 'cheer up love, it might never happen'!
Reading all the lovely comments from people who support my channel never fails to make me smile 😊😊😊

Your smile is gracefully drawn on your pretty face. Truth be told, smiling and explaining your language with mastery is your most remarkable gift. "don't worry be happy beautiful teacher". Hello madam.
I sat my entrance exams today(one of the subjects was English).
It was clearly mentioned that more that one option could be correct and choosing one of the correct options could earn one 5 marks.
    This is the question
    If I were a bird, I........... fly.
    May
    Will
    Could.
    Would.
I reckon could and would are both correct.
I am not sure which one of the two I chose as I was running out of time.
Thanks for helping me madam 😊😊😊

Hmmm. For the example case given, I prefer "If I were to win the lottery" over "If I won the lottery". I think it affords less ambiguity.

    • @EnglishWithEm

Yes, it emphasises the improbability of the situation.

Yes! The second conditional is in the past subjunctive mood. That's why we say 'were' and not 'was' 🌻

This sentence is written in the first conditional:
if + present simple, will + infinitive
The first conditional is used for the real/possible future.
The second conditional uses the past simple in the if clause and 'would' in the main clause.
if + past simple, would + infinitive
If I had some money, I would fly fast...
