It's the first time I've heard an Adele song sung by another singer and I'm fearless to say that I liked it as much as the original. The same power as Adele with another stunning voice. Thanks Collena for this very enriching analysis, take care 👋
“Bad Dreams” piano video made me a super fan. “RIP Love” from the finale of this show Singer2024 is my favorite live performance from her. For something fun, Faouzia and Kelly Clarkson did an all Arabic duet version of “I Dare You” during lockdown. The lyric video is on Kelly’s channel, but there is an unofficial video on YT, with the two of them singing to camera.
Born in Morocco in 2000, but her family moved to Canada when she was a baby. She was raised in a town of 3,000 an hour southwest of Winnipeg, Manitoba. She had piano lessons very early. Faouzia and her older sister Samia would perform locally starting when Faouzia was about 8. When Samia went to Uni, Faouzia continued solo. She won a small French language song writing contest. Then placed 2nd in a Canada wide Emerging Artists contest in 2016. Topped 16,000 entries for the Grand prize, in the annual International Songwriting Competition with co-writer Matt Epp, when she was 16, with their duet “The Sound”. And won both the Grand Prize and Teen Prize in Nashville’s “Unsigned Only” competition soon after that.
Don't forget that she's also a computer engineering major at the University of Manitoba! Girl's got more brains and talent than anyone is supposed to have.
@ Maybe “was” is the correct word. I think she left after year 3, and was finishing a degree online. Pretty sure that’s what she told Tara Simon when they chatted.
Reaction my friend. Faouzia really likes to inhabit songs by great singers. She basically does mostly her own songs because she is a tremendous singer-songwriter. But in this competition she's probably has to sing a lot of songs that are not her own. But my God, can she take the song to a new level with her passion, her seamless transitions and her vocal dynamic control. I think she's one of the finest young singer-songwriters on the planet. Sadly she had to go to China which is good for her in one way that the Chinese people embraced her. She is a national star over there has done multitudes of concerts with hundreds of thousands of people and getting great notoriety and that wonderful music endorsing environment. In North America and especially in Canada her own country. She is hardly known if you mentioned her name, most young people and anyone probably wouldn't even know who she is. But as fellow Canadian who follows her religiously, I think in time she will come to be known as one of the great young singers of our generation. Keep posting my friend. There are so many fabulous fabulous songs to react to and add your wonderful commentary and analysis too. Sending you much thanks and love from Canada 👍🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️❤️❤️
❤❤ I really enjoyed being on your live Stream ❤ you are such a brilliant Vocal Coach it was nice meeting you i really hope the best for you ❤❤ still waiting for your Faouzia's reactions ❤
I was so sad bcos i started watching the video were u reacted to 3 performances but 3 min in the video Got taken down. Prob bcos of copyright so im so happy ur posting them❤️❤️❤️
She pronounces it FOE-zee-ah as heard in the first seconds of this clip: ruclips.net/video/Fsz-bjjowkc/видео.html If you like Adele covers, check out KZ Tandingan performing Rolling in the Deep in the Singer 2018 series (same competition from a few years ago) Cheers!
How much i like Faouzia and her vocals, this song is not for her. Little uncertain and sharp, and her vocals and music doesn't match all the time in dynamics and power. But nevertheless she is absolutely great and maybe the best under 25 years old vocalist in these days. Hope she is coming back soon and writes more songs of her own. 😎
Queen of vocals ❤ Her riffs and runs are unmatched. R.I.P Love performance next please!

Bruno Mars was “Grenade”.

This was not her best. Compare it to the rehearsal for this performance you'll hear her closer to her best: ruclips.net/video/HPb37mRqWeI/видео.html
