Varieties are specifically bred to withstand extreme heat, humidity and disease. American Marigold breeding ranges from dwarf and semi dwarf varieties to tall, cut flower types.
AmeriSeed also breeds award winning Vinca, Zinnia, Torenia and Petunia varieties with extreme heat tolerance.
Products are ideally suited to pot, bedding, landscape and cut flower production. Extensive research trials provide our customers with technical growing information. Seed is cleaned, graded and tested for germination and vigor before being packed and exported.
Vinca Mega Bloom
Catharanthus roseus
Vinca Mega Bloom is the largest flowered Vinca F1 from seed. Mega Bloom was bred to withstand heat and humidity with disease resistance. Showy flowers on vigorous plants stay tidy and compact. Growers will appreciate the early blooming time, compactness and plant uniformity.
Vinca Mega Flow F1
This most outstanding F1 Hybrid Trailing Vinca produces early blooms with very large flowers. Plants are strongly branched and vigorous with dark green foliage and the ability to self-clean. Mega Flow has high-impact blooms with overlapping petals. Its trailing habit makes it ideal for hanging baskets. Plants are exceptionally heat tolerant.
Torenia Vertigo
Torenia “Vertigo” is a brand new F1 Torenia and is ideal for pot and landscape production.
All the breeding and selection work has been carried out at our AmeriSeed research facilities in Northern Thailand under extreme heat and humidity.
Vertigo is a continuously flowering type of Torenia and produces glossy green foliage and with a compact plant habit.
The blossoms do not fade even when exposed to strong sunlight.
Vertigo is ideally suited to hot, humid, tropical, sub-tropical, Summer growing conditions.
Marigolds
Tagetes erecta
All American Marigold range from dwarf, semi dwarf to tall cut flower type are bred and developed to withstand disease and the extreme heat in the tropical climate.
