As salaam alaikum from trinidad,this video has been most inspirational to me.I have memorised some auras, but I still struggle with fluency when I try to read a sura that I am not familiar with,I get angry,I feel I am no good,and think what a waste it's been even to memorized suras, so I going to keep on trying,thank you so very much for the "steps"!
This is very helpful, JazaakAllahu khayran. I particularly like the "learn to walk before you run" step. It can be discouraging if you take off, trying to go full speed and then hit a word you don't know and fall on your face. You need to start slowly, even one or two words at a time. Fluency comes with practice
Jazzak Allahu khairan ustadh. I struggle with this and had an idea to try and repeat each page multiple times as you've suggested, not for hifdh just for the ability to read. Lakin I didn't know the correct manhaj for doing it. Inshallah this will be helpful for many.

I'd only add that these steps are for self-study mostly. One should also recite to a teacher (at the mosque or online, etc) on a regular basis until you achieve proficiency. This is essential because no one is able to detect their errors all on their own; the teacher should be able to show you how exactly to fix a mistake, and will be your guide in the journey to fluency and good recitation insha Allah. Self-study is possible, but the Sunnah is to learn with one who is qualified; those who learn to recite fluently without a teacher always have mistakes, sometimes major ones that alter the meanings of the Quran. So just keep in the mind the importance of finding someone who can help you learn : )
Asalaamu aleykum this makes so much sense. My Hifdh recitation is so smooth and fluent because of the constant repetition. But I struggle in my Tilawah in non memorised portions. This makes me sad as it takes me 5 months to do one khatam of the Quran😢
I can not even learn the letters. Tajweed is totally impossible. I gave up a long time ago. I decided I am dyslexic regarding the Arabic letter and writing system. I decided I will memorize as much as I can using transliterations and imitating correct recordings by qaris.
Alhmdulilahi rabil aalameen I'm Teaching Quran with tajweed I always Try and make sure with my Students always to try these steps and in the beginning they struggle he's a kid or younger sister or older sister but alhmdulilah alhmdulilah after some time they read by themselves and in a beautiful manner with Fluency and tajweed. It takes time in the beginning . It's my recommendation if you started Hifz or Reading start with the 30th Para it will helps you alot in your Quran journey InshaALLAH.
Btw this gave me a huge motivation not only to read quran, but also a deep motivation to study Islam even more. I don’t think, that you know, but this is a huge huge huge reward for you and your family and the team who works to help us do better fi sabililah.

Tarteel has nothing to do with singing, it is about assembling all Quranic verses that speak about a particular topic, then study and draw a reasonable understanding that you can apply in life, without committing injustice. For 100's of years Muslims countries are completely dominated by the west, and this is because they completely tuned the Quran into a song Book, it is indeed a shameful state.
