hey i followed the steps to uninstall anaconda by the control panel (windows uninstall) but the uninstaller is always stuck for hours on the "running pre_uninstall script" and then it opened the anaconda3/gpython.exe terminal, but it does nothing and i dont know what to do, can you please help?

Make sure you give it plenty of time to finish uninstalling. You can always try deleting everything in the Anaconda program directory

I am having real struggles with Anaconda. I have bought a new computer and transferred some files to this new computer from my old one where I had Anaconda installed. When trying to download it again on my new computer there seems to be a lot of files missing from the download. I can not find the anaconda navigator and not the prompt. So I have no way of running the actual program. I tried to download Miniconda instead but it fails to extract the packages.
My best bet is that there are still some traces of anaconda that appeared when I transferred from my old computer. However I have no idea how to find these traces if there are any. I have no Anaconda Prompt so I'm not sure if I can run any "Anaconda-Clean" programs. I am running winows 11 x64.
I am desperate, do you have any soloutions or ideas?

Anaconda can be a pain. I have been looking into micromamba and have had much more success interacting with conda-forge.

I've started doing the exact same thing. I don't 10GB of packages preinstalled for me.

@@geospatialschool 10Gb of packages you are not even supposed to use. Everything I have learned is to not use base, and do all your work from conda environments. Installing/modifying things is base is a death with for breaking the anaconda installation.
