Also, the narration (like many, many of these sorts of videos on RUclips and elsewhere) is so robotic and loud to the point of almost aggressive sounding.
Why do you keep showing pictures of characters you're not talking about? There are plenty of issues of Sandman Mystery Theater you could have used for Wesley Dodds references. 🤦🏻♀️
They completely did Wesley Dodds dirty. He's such a cool character too: pulp/noir costume with gas mask, wire grappling gun that predates Batman's and Rorschach's by decades, sleeping-gas weapon, and psychic abilities.
You couldn't get an actual image of Wesley Dodds (the original Sandman)? There are literally hundreds of them all over the internet. He was in the Justice Society forever and had a fairly popular Vertigo comic in the 1990s, so he's not exactly obscure. He also had psychic powers (based on prophetic dreams he had), and you left that out.
The original Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett, did have powers that were granted to him by a scarab. Ted Kord, the 2nd Blue Beetle, didn't have powers. The 3rd Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes, was the one that had the scarab that had originally belonged to Dan Garrett, attach itself to his spine and gave him an alien battle suit.
All great characters. However, Superman made his debut before all of them in the June 1938 issue of Action Comics #1. Superman was the FIRST comic book hero. PULP heroes appeared such as Doc Savage, The Spider and The Shadow appeared well before the Man of Steel, albiet in different print media.
@MWhaleK No, The Japanese superhero "The Golden Bat'' AKA Ōgon Bat (Japanese: 黄金 バット, Hepburn: Ōgon Batto, which literally means (Golden Bat). Also, Doc Savage was the "Man of Bronze" Like Superman is the "Man of Steel" was the world's strongest man (almost to the point of being Superhuman) and had a Fortress of Solitude in the Arctic before Superman did. Lastly being a Pulp hero of the 30's and 40's he is a far more direct inspiration for both members of the World's Finest duo than Golden Bat or "The Human Bat".
Oh, and another super powered hero from the Pulp era was the Shadow. With the power to "Cloud mens minds," he brought more to the game than just his wits and guns.
UMMMM....according to the narrations in this video, several of the characters mentioned first appeared in 1939---so how can they be considered to be part of the heroes who "stared it all" when Superman debuted in nineteen thirty EIGHT? ????? Sigh.
This video would've been better if you used the right characters in the photos.

AI content is what it is. Lots of poorly made crap.
I hate when RUclipsrs do that.
I was about to say the same thing... it couldn't have been that difficult to find the original pics, kind of killed it for me.
Bro this video was so frustrating. Why not use pictures of the actual characters

Why not show the real Arrow?
Right image easy to find
To be fair, Superman pre-dated amazing man by a year

If you think so highly of those characters, why not make an effort to find images of those characters? 🤔
Jesus Christ this channel can't even set up pics correctly anymore

Mandrake came out in 1934

Doc Savage: 1933
The Spider: 1933.
The pulp heroes listed all predate Mandrake.

The first comic book hero was the Clock published by Centaur in 1936.
Why do you have pictures of the later characters when talking about the originals?
Doc Savage The Man of Bronze was Batman before Batman and Superman before Superman.

Sigh.
You forgot robin hood and Hercules
The Lone Ranger
I always get Phantoma and Batman confused, they're so similar!😮
You forgot the Shadow & Doc Savage
How is Fantomah similar to?Batman?
💀=🦇 ❓
Very nice and sweet!
Awesome characters who will never be forgotten for saving the world 🌍 🌎 🗺️ 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉all the best 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
I know you got alot of flack for this video. But really you should have used google to get images for this. Do a redoo with better pics .
I would replace Mandrake the magician and place the shadow in the number one spot.
I agree. He had a costume and, at least on radio, superpowers.
@robertwarren3278 right he was pretty much the blueprint for dark vigilantes
Heck Yeah!
Completely disappointing
Stop using A.I.
I stopped watching. What a poorly done job. Showing pictures of newer characters instead of the ones you're actually presenting in the video.
what did the Arrow look like? Btw, Superman was published 1938, and shopped around a few tears earlier.
What about Japan's Golden Bat?
He-Man looks a lot like Amazing Man
Come on
the golden bat laughs at face of evil
fantomah lady golden bat of the jungle
the phantom the ghost who walks
zorro the spanish rizzing vigilante
Hey!
