I know this is 5 years late lol but thank you so much for explaining this so god damn well. My professor seems to over-complicate everything, you are proof of what a good teacher is.
Thank you sir so so much..i just found your channel starting this video and i am pcm student aiming for iat..even then also i understood your simply but great lectures..thanks so much❤
sir pls do upload more videos on complementation problems..for eg how to read d complemention table n how to intrepet it ..how to determine how many complementation groups r present..
@@shomusbiologyofficial dada..college er akta question achhe... sheta solve korte parchhi na.. exactly kon topic theke , shetao bujhte parchhi na.... please help. Q. There is a classic example of duplicate developmental pathway immortalized by one of the best examples of experimental genetics. Give your opinion on it and comment on the logical conclusion of the experiment.
thank you for your effort..But, even if we've the two mutations in the same chromosome we can see a red offspring, a condition that the mutations are in different genes. So I think you meant, in this case with the red offspring the mutations are in different genes (it can be the same chromosomes or not) not in different chromosomes.
In some solutions, I see the word "precursor" written at the beginning of the pathway, can you explain what that means? And how do we know how many genes are in the pathway? Thanks
how do you tell the difference between intragenic recombination and complementation? Like what if a gene has two different types of mutations on the same gene but in different regions of the gene, does there have to be intragenic recombination within that one gene to gain a functional wild type version of that gene? if so, why cant their be a complementation of the two working regions of the gene?
So in short, if genes are complements then they are not allelic? They should be located at different loci? Also thank you, this video helped me a lot :)
I've have a question related to this topic so please help me to clear my doubt. Q. Allelism test is used for a) Mendelian dominance b) Incomplete dominance c) Codominance d) Multiple gene dominance From this question i think allelism test is related to complementation text which occurs between different genes while the other three cases occur within the same gene. So i think option d) is correct. Please help me to clear my doubt. Thanks in advance.

those are like the newest markers i have ever seen used on a whiteboard. bravo!
u are so backward
this explanation was extremely good thank you!
You're welcome
Wow, thanks so much!!!! Your great at explaining, better than my PHD teachers😆👊
Thank you for appreciating my efforts
I finally understand this concept with your video! Thank you!
Perfectly explained
Thank you
This is very clear cut information about the complementation test, but please give another example which show complementation test like Drosophila.
nice one..... explanation is very clear... Thank you for another awesome video.

exactly.u r right...simple think..but those people make complex
I was thinking about the same concept
What would happen if the recessive allele become dominant or we can say the mutations which are recessive become expressed?
I was totally lost on this concept before I saw your video! Thank you!
SIR YOU ARE A LEGEND
Thank you
Thanks! It really helped
You're welcome
Thanks alot❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥

Sir can you make a video about the problems related to this concept
Thank you very much!! Excellent video!!!!

Thank you soooo much. This explanation was beyond perfect. You clarified this concept sooo well. You're the best!!!:)
Sir aap ka channel Etna purana h nice✍🏻
Present vs not present means dominant vs recessive, right?
7:30 time...see cross product....correct it first..
thanks alot , i was so confused with this topic , u made it so simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Thank you this was SO helpful!
thank you so much
Sir if gene A is mutated then how it will produce white colour in the cross..?
Thank u ..for all such videos ..it helped me a lot

Great ... Your are a good teacher..
দাদা, যদি "Complementation Test In Bacteriophage" এর একটা ভিডিও বানাতে তো ভালো হতো , খুব তাড়াতাড়ি! সামনে পরীক্ষা!
thank u so much sir, am a fan of your lecture series sir
Can you make video in pseudoallelism as soon as possible please
awesome video! I was wondering what if it was dominant? what type of test could you do? Thank you!

@@shomusbiologyofficial Thank You so much Sir..
I've have a question related to this topic so please help me to clear my doubt.
Q. Allelism test is used for
a) Mendelian dominance
b) Incomplete dominance
c) Codominance
d) Multiple gene dominance
From this question i think allelism test is related to complementation text which occurs between different genes while the other three cases occur within the same gene. So i think option d) is correct. Please help me to clear my doubt.

kindly upload video lecture about cis-trans complementation test (related to microbiology)
Aap apana supplymentry genes ka video bhejiye please
Thanks a lot sir
Sir plz a video on Benzer experiment
Okay
why is your camera keeping zooming?
what about cis and trans components of the test..i think the test was for the genes not for chromosomes,,
Thanku brother
Complemnetation analysis and complementry analysis both same
Thanks to much

that was so easy to follow! thanks for the video :)
