Unleash the Archers is a Canadian power metal band from Victoria, BC, currently signed with Napalm Records. The band plays a fusion of traditional heavy metal with power metal and melodic death metal.

A karaoke bar system is probably the worst PA system there is and a cell phone has probably the worst mic you can imagine, and she still sounds great.
Actually, if You know what you are doing you can Set Up an Awesome PA for Karaoke but it will Cost you a Pretty Penny. ;D Some Karaoke Host have Learned this the Hard Way and soon it Pays for it's Self.
There are so many reasons this is just the epitome of cool. This was after they finished performing on stage, so she either has extreme energy and wasn't even tired, or she loves the fans so much that she did it anyway. the worst video and sound quality, and she still sounds awesome, and just the fact that they are not too stuck up to go hang out and party with the locals shows how down to earth they are. I Saw them at Trees in Dallas a couple of years ago, and did the meet and greet. I have health issues, and was not getting around well, so I was awkward and clumsy, this long haired, long bearded old man, and keeping my distance to be polite, and here cam Brittney grabbing me by the arm and telling me to get in there and not to be shy. I have never felt more welcomed by a band, and I will never forget that. This lady, and this band are definitely a class act.
Geoff Tate was a huge influence on her, and you can hear it in alotta their songs, the spirit of his voice lives on in her, she’s amazing. You can hear so many of the all time greats in her, Geoff Tate, Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, the beautiful woman is carrying the flame those guys lit, I couldn’t be more into it
Did you hear that interview with her where she actually says that Geoff Tate is (as in currently) her mentor. How rockin is that?!

What’s funny is apparently she was pretty drunk when she went up there. :). And to be able to sing like that.... lol.

Alot of musicians have preformed drunk, it's nothing new. Singing this after a show is kind of nice to find energy for it and since she dosn't lose her vocals she takes care of her voice.

@@MrKoolaidjam Not only drunk, don't know about Dimebag but alot of rockers did alot of stuff back in the day. Like some talkshow host asked Steven Tyler how much he payed for drugs during hi career :D he said easy 2mil $.
@@ImDembe yeah Steven Tyler was wild. Dime was notorious for downing a bottle of jack backstage before the show and drinking more during the show and still killing it

Her talent is mindblowing! I always get a kick out of watching what most would consider a "throw-away performance". Unreal!
She also sang opera (Brindisi?) With a friend over skype this past weekend that is awesome. There is a youtube video out there.

WOW COOL. I've been waiting a long time for someone doing that reaction (thumbs up). She is absolutely amazing. I heard of them (Unleash the archers) a few month ago. And what should I say. Now I'm listening to them every day. She is a great singer and all the band members are great musicians.

Have you done the Take Hold Of The Flame live video yet? Talk about voices, holy crap. Back in the day they were known as the Bellevue Boys (local nickname just outside Seattle). Knew about them right off the bat and loved their first album immediatley.

Supposedly, this was after the last show of the whole tour. Brittany is well known for not partying or anything like that while touring. So after this last show they went to a local club to hang out with fans and she had a few beers and did some karaoke. :)

To your note of "She sounds like she's done this song before!" they actually did a full cover for their album's Japanese-release Bonus Track (there's a reason that Japanese albums have bonus tracks regularly, but I don't recall the details someone else gave out once as to why). Imagine going out to the pub for some drinks and Karaoke with friends and someone like Brittany Slayes gets up on stage. I'm not one for celebrity worship but I'm pretty sure I'd be giddy as a schoolboy, lol.
The whole band did a version but it's only available as a special bonus track on the Japanese version of their album Apex. I've only seen it as a fan upload here on youtube.

This performance is why I enjoy going to shows. Watching artists perform for fun and to see them just enjoy themselves onstage all while kicking ass and taking names.

unless it's changed, 'Opium' isn't a karaoke bar, it the local metal bar/club just down the road from Bannerman's (the venue they'd just played). so they might have just set this up for britney, which is hilarious.

Love Brittany and UtA, but I also have a fun karaoke story. My aunt is an excellent soprano, got her Master degree in voice, and after her wedding (c. 1991), we all went to a tiny dive bar in Wisconsin ... where she got up on stage with the karaoke machine and just KILLED several 70s and 80s classics. The regulars, the bar flies, were all of the opinion that, yeah, NO ONE was going up there after her!

I've read somewhere this was at the end of the tour actually, so I don't know how she can still sing like that after en ENTIRE tour. Also the song is very difficult to sing, I believe.
