Funny thing about the Harley comments for me is. When I had a Yamaha 15 yrs ago not one Harley rider ever come over to tell me why his bike is better. Now that I ride a Harley I get it all the time from strangers even at a gas station telling me why there brand or bike is better. Best part about it is they are usually in there car.
the have to justify their purchase somehow...and to do that they spout off misinformation that they are regurgitating from friends, that way they feel like you paid twice as much and got half the bike.....most of them have never even been on a HD. sad
I really like the headlights. My brother hates them, says it looks like a minion. I changed the icon on all of our streaming accounts to a minion just to spite him.
I’m 21 and just bought my first Harley a week ago! a 2017 FatBob 103 with a stage 1 and I’m in love with it. It’s something I highly doubt I’m gonna sell. It’s an amazing machine!
Dude that’s awesome, I turn 21 next year and I hope to do the same thing. How much did you spend on your 2017? Honestly I’d take any model from 2012-2017.
I just picked up a 2015 - love it … you won’t be reaching for an extra gear that’s not there on the highway. I have stage one … plenty of power for a fun ride 🙂👍🏻
The duel headlights were a huge selling point for me when I got my fatbob. I absolutely love them, and they're amazing at night, they really reach down into the ditches better than a single light. I never fail to get people complimenting the duel lights. Its also cool to spot another fatbob easily.
I've got a 14 fatbob, never ceases to get a complement every time i go out and i still prefer the black denim w/ red strips on the tank on mine i think it gives it a wayyy better post apocalyptic aesthetic for my 1st Harley i definitely have no regrets.
I don't get how people don't like this styling and I'm almost 55 years old. The vrod, I understood, but this is your basic Harley with some cool modern styling touches. I actually like this one better than the new ones!!!
Ive owned 3 Vrods..Harley screwed up stopping production of the Vrod.. I now have a Fatbob in my garage..Awesome running big bike..I keep forgetting that 6th gear though .lol..The Vrod got me brainwashed...
I have a 2016 FatBob, and I love it. It's a great all-arounder bike. It has character, especially if you throw some slip-ons or a full exhaust system. It vibrates at idle, has torque in spades, actually has some ground clearance and combined with a decent suspension setup, has surprisingly good handling. It's a bike that I can throw in in a twisty mountain road, it's one I can ride on for 8 hours straight (with a windshield), and the Twin Cam 103 is a very charismatic engine that's a blast. The only thing I don't like about it is the price, but price aside, it's phenomenal. That, and it sucks in the city - long gears, heavy clutch, and fuel economy tanks; I get less than 30MPG in the city, which is worse than my car, but 45 hwy blasting 100MPH. It's definitely a beast.
Its all about safety. Don't you want to make sure youre seen when you tap the brakes to slow down? Its why I like fat turn signals also. I want other drivers to know what Im about to do. Not guess.
I have a 2015 Fat Bob, I love it. It's well balanced and handles amazingly well and I can't stop anywhere without someone coming up to me to ask me about it, I've even had people comment at stop lights.
It’s these newby kids looking for clickbait.this reviewer is a know nothing .Harley bough out twin headlights in 1928 model J . This guy should stick to hondas and gay bars
I had an 09. I'm 6'2" and felt like I was leaning forward too much. I put 14" apes with 2" risers and was very comfortable. Took a lot of long trips on it.
Absolutely love my 2015 Fat Bob! I've seen some where they switch out the dual headlight for a single LED and I'm not a fan, it makes it just another bike.
Love my 16 FXDF. the dual headlights and big ass tire pretty much sold me the bike, that and the bars. I ride mine daily....it commutes, it tours, it turns, and not very many people can beat me off the lights :)
I have a stage 1 on my 103 17 Fat Bob. I have a friend with a 124 on his Street Glide. We drag raced last weekend and I won all three races. Not by much, but I pulled on him about 1 mph faster each time. It was awesome!
I know this is an old video. I have a 2012 Fat Bob, and I really prefer that model's styling over the 2014-2017. More of a classic Harley rear fender/taillight set up. I didn't like the dual headlights at first, but they've grown on me. Especially at night.
I have a 2016 fatbob and I think it is one of the most comfortable bikes I have been on. The duel headlights and taillights are different but that's why you own a Harley to stand out from the crowd and do your own thing.
From the moment where you started dissing the looks of the bike, all I was thinking was "This guy better be f*cking kidding. No, this better be a damn joke." PS: The dual headlights look badass as hell
I'm 20 and have a 2009 fat bob. Mine has the bobtail fender, and I just tossed a street bob headlight on it. I get all the perks of the best dyna and it looks amazing.
I have a 2010 I bought new in 2011 and bought it because it was the only bike that didn't look like an old Harley. Wasn't really looking to buy an HD but all the J bikes were producing V-twins styled like electra glides from way back. Not what I wanted! Ended up buying a Harley to get something that didn't look so much like a Harley. No complaints about handling or style. The f'n "tommy gun" exhaust fell off after a rough road but got that fixed. Seems to be one of the least respected HD bikes but I can't complain after 60,000 miles.
If you hate it you definitely haven't riden one. It's one of the best handling harleys I've ever ridden. Those duel headlights really lights up the road great at night. The ergonomics are fantastic if you are a taller person, at 6'5" tall it fits perfect for all day riding in comfort.
I bought a 2014 Fat Bob, and it's stupid comfortable to ride. I am switching to the three light set up touring bikes have. I'm 41 and grew up with Harleys, Dad and Mom ride, I love the Street and Fat Bobs.
Headlights are a easy $100 change. Those big beefy tires do a fantastic job of helping soak up road imperfections. As does the fantastic suspension on the FB. Not sure how much difference there is between the 2008 FB I test rode and your 2014 model, But the 2008 I rode had a very *GOOD* ride quality to it.
The suspension is rough man. I had a sportster I but burly brand slammers to lower it, and the Fat Bob ride quality is identical to those. You get used to it though.
I test rode every Dyna before I bought my ‘13 Fat Bob. By far my favorite. Hence why I bought one! Definitely my favorite looking one too. Love the dual headlights and the fat tires. 130 on the front. 180 on the rear. Mines a Stage 1 bike now. Arlen Ness air cleaner. SCT tune. And custom pipes. Still using factory head pipes though, so I’m missing out on some power but running a gutted converter. But. I have 16xxx miles on it. No regrets. At all. Replaced the factory Dunlops with Avon Cobras. Let me tell you. Sticks like glue through the turns. I came from a sportbike and my Fat Bob handles JUST as well as the sportbike! It is, by far, the most underrated bike in all of Harley’s lineup. So glad I got the last of the good ones. Hate the styling revision of ‘14. That rear fender and taillight are HIDEOUS. And. I got mine in Candy Orange. Talk about standing out in a sea of bikes. 1) dual headlights. 2) Candy Orange. Not only do I hardly ever see another Fat Bob, I’ve NEVER seen another one on the road in Candy Orange. Fan for life. And the new ones. Test rode one last week. NOT a fan!
Zeke Harouff I have your same bike :D and everyone loves it, they think it’s red and then the sun hits it and BAM, orange lol. And all of my tall friends 6’2-6’5” all say it’s the most comfortable seating position they’ve ever experienced. My only problem is that mine is kind of slow compared to others. Need some work done to it
I get compliments on my 2015 Fat Bob all...the...time! People roll down their windows at stop lights and tell me how great it is. An old dude told me he wishes they had bikes like mine when he was young. People stop outside the store to talk to me. Gas station attendants come out to see it. The only complaint I had, when I got it, was the riding position. I hate drag bars with forward controls. I'm not a sandwich. Put pull-backs on it. It makes for a more leaned back look and a nicer riding position.
I bought a 2010 Dyna Fat Bob in April this year (2022), this was the first video I watched to see what I was getting myself into. Now I watch this video for nostalgia purposes, and I’m also an avid viewer of Bikes and Beards. P.S. The WLA is looking good! I just wish you and Craig would hurry up and build the darn thing…
Added a fairing from Memphis Shades to my 2008 FB and the dual headlights look bitchen! Changed the look completely for the better, and I appreciate the ride even more now. Also added forward controls and love it!
I have a 2016 and absolutely love it!!! For some reason the Fat Bob is the most under rated Harley in their lineup. I realllllly don't like the 2018 model and they should have changed the name with that thing. It is NOT a Fat Bob....
2015 Fat Bob. This is my first Harley, didn’t grow up in the Harley culture, actually rode a CBR prior. Looked at a lot of different Harley’s because I’m a little older now and wanted a capable cruiser. Didn’t know anything about anyone’s opinions of this bike, and still don’t care. Looks good, handles well and is exactly what I wanted in a Harley. I think what makes any bike cool is not giving a damn about what others think and having your own swag. Worrying less about what’s cool, and thinking more about life being short and what you enjoy, like riding your bike! Ride safe Dan -Northern California
I need honest opinions from people. I'm stuck between buying a 2005 HD Fat Boy or a 2013 HD Fat Bob with similar distances ridden and similar price. Could I please hear your advice?
As a young guy I must say that I love the look of the 2018 model Fat Bob. I got the chance to drive it a month ago at a show. And I really liked it. Though I really miss the 2017 dyna low rider S. It was the first Harley I ever tried, and fell in love with.
I’m happy that you start your videos giving God glory and honor. Would love to ride with you someday. We could talk about our Savior. Plus I like your honest and straightforward reviews.
I’ve had my 2015 Fatbob for 2 years and it’s the best bike I have ever owned. Power, handling and comfort 👍🏻ps love the bike vids .... keep up the good work ✌️
09 Fatbob here. Love the thing. I’m 6’4” and it fits me just fine so I don’t wanna hear any crying about the mid mount controls. And man.. smooth baby.
I had a 2010. I bought it with 130 miles on it. It took some time to get used to the lights, but I still wanted to change it to a single light somehow. The front tire on the 2010 wasn’t as wide as this one. The only thing I couldn’t get used to was it was touchy. Sometimes it would start and sometimes it wouldn’t. It was in the shop for the issue multiple times, but never got fixed properly. It ruined my riding experience because of fear of breaking down whenever it wanted. So it mostly sat at my house or in the shop. I had the bike for 5 years and it only had 5,400 miles on it when I sold it.
Other than the headlight and big front tire.. I've always liked the styling of the Dyna Fat Bobs especially after the "muscle car" changes they made in, I believe, 2013. Test rode one about two years ago.. felt really nice. But I just liked the feel of the Street Bob better. Hence why I own one. More of a blank canvas for customizing. But I wouldn't be ashamed to ride a 2013-2017 Fat Bob. The 2018s.. not so much. Much prefer this styling compared to the new Softail Fat Bobs..
@@Steven_Will just the styling. The rear fender isn't as cool if you ask me. 2014 is when they changed to an LED setup. Looks awesome. But that's really the only difference. Se engine. Same gear box. 2012 is still a good reliable bike.
My first bike (at 40) is a 2014 Fat Bob Dyna. I love it. I’m 5’8”, 230 lbs, and also have a RKC but the Dyna Fat Bob is nimble, aggressive and sits comfortably. A little bumpy compared to others in its weight class nowadays but I feel like a post-apocalyptic warrior on that thing. It’s a great machine. Don’t fear the Fat Bob, even as a new rider.
Perfect input I was looking for. Will be test riding a FB Dyna 2014 in a day or two. Was deciding between a Roadster 2017 and Fat Bob 2014 but same price. Very strongly inclined towards the Fat Bob. Will be used mostly for Touring in India and few shuttles to the City during office peak hours as I live a bit outside the City. It's madness in the city😅. I have 2 other bikes for that though, a 180 cc Kawasaki and a 300 cc Mojo(Local) , both single .. ❤ Cheers
I just got a '13 and I love it. Just need different bars. What would you recommend? I'm 6'2" and getting a sore neck after about 20 miles. Please help and send links
I picked up a 10 fat bob. I really love the dual headlights. You buy dual led headlights for it. You can literally light up the heavens w them lol. Good vid
Thats a good take on it. Changing it up to get the attention of younger people. The only reason i really even knew about motorcycles was my dad. Now im 22 and have a sportster im building. If my dad hadn't kept one in the garage all the time, i probably wouldnt even be interested because its never really been advertised to me. But keep up the good work. Ive always been a harley guy but your channel has opened my eyes to many other bikes i never wouldve known about
As a Harley owner, I can think of a number of things wrong with the fat Bob. The duel headlights were not on the list. Interesting how the rear fender is reminiscent of the boat Harleys of the 70' s.
I bought a 2013 brand new right of the show room floor . I had so much fun on it , I put 40,000 Miles on it in only 2 years . Tho it was in the shop alot , it had a ground problem on the ground from the battery that the dealer couldn't deplate , it cut out win I got on it do to a faulty ground nut . I found the problem after the dealer could not. I removed the ground nut from a windmill nut to a Teflon nut , I never had another problem with it after that. I could not ride it at night because of the head lights sucking in every bug from a mile away . The main crank to a shit got it replaced put a dino in it it gave me more horse power and torque. But while it was in the shop one time , the mechanic stoled the dyno box . Good bike for windy mountain roads .
Bought mine new in 2015. Same color too. I still have it and am making a few changes like bars, and adding a 2in1 Thunderheader pipe. I've pondered trading her in, but who needs the payments since mine is in mint condition, only has 1,600 miles on it, and paid off! So, since I'm single, I can justify buying some accessories. For people that don't know, this bike has a lot of built-in value for the money! I've made a few changes like added HD hard bags, A HD windshield, and, A HD Sundowner seat with a backrest. Not cheap, but worth the money. Me, I like the styling but it is an acquired taste. It's still 100% Harley Davidson and the more you ride it, the more you love it! I've been on the fence with the headlight. I'm thinking about replacing it with a 1969 Peterbilt headlight and adding an LED bulb to it! About $145.00.
@@bradlozano2571 Thanks! I love the sound of the Thunder-header too! Bassani's pipe and The Brothers Racing are nice too, but in the end, the Thunder-Header won out because of those cool back-fires when you let off on the throttle!
@@CunoWiederhold I went the V@H 2 into 1 Propipe....Love the sound and the power....But the reason you go with 2 into 1 is the sound and the power they make....
First of all, headlights look amazing. The tires could be thinner, doesn't look right on the front. Pegs are fine. Rear tail light looks like crap. Everything else looks good.
I just got me 08 fat bob and I love it. I have very limited experience with motorcycle because this is my first bike, but I love how they handle and it feels light to me, so it is not scary to do slow speed maneuvering in parking lots.
i was confused at first.. but i see in the comments I'm not the only one. i have never heard anyone complain about anything you said about the fat bob... bad on corners stock yes... bit sluggish oafish in slower speeds yes... pegs being to short yes. but robot lights? never even heard of that before today
Not a HD fan. That said I have no problem with the headlights or tires. Forward controls I despise on any bike. I feel more in control with the standard or adventure touring posture. I'm far too old for the super sport ergos and cruisers in general are just too slow in every category, most importantly handling and braking. Been there, done that, no thank you. I'm more the FZ09 fan, now there's a fun bike. I'm particularly not a fan of all the HD hoopla!!! Again no thanks but if someone really likes the ride of an HD, no problem with that either, I understand. Let's ride!

@@HS-zu9qq if the M8 were in fact that good there'd be one in my garage. I can't live with a 3 gallon peanut tank, period.
I just bought a 2010. It’s my first street bike EVER! And I really like it
I absolutely love my 17 Fat Bob because it’s so different from the other Harleys.
Laguna Orange 🍊. Got a Saddlemen, 13" rear shock, mid pegs mount right up for standing up, S&S carbon air cleaner, S&S slipons. You?
2015 Fat Bob. This is my first Harley, didn’t grow up in the Harley culture, actually rode a CBR prior. Looked at a lot of different Harley’s because I’m a little older now and wanted a capable cruiser. Didn’t know anything about anyone’s opinions of this bike, and still don’t care. Looks good, handles well and is exactly what I wanted in a Harley. I think what makes any bike cool is not giving a damn about what others think and having your own swag. Worrying less about what’s cool, and thinking more about life being short and what you enjoy, like riding your bike! Ride safe

I need honest opinions from people. I'm stuck between buying a 2005 HD Fat Boy or a 2013 HD Fat Bob with similar distances ridden and similar price. Could I please hear your advice?
Get the 103, no question.
As a young guy I must say that I love the look of the 2018 model Fat Bob. I got the chance to drive it a month ago at a show. And I really liked it. Though I really miss the 2017 dyna low rider S. It was the first Harley I ever tried, and fell in love with.
Love my 2010 Fatbob. Super comfy for a tallish chubby guy like myself.
I Love this bike!! I love the double lights. I love the big fat ass tires too. It's very masculine. 💪💪💪
The fat bob is good bike just bought my father's the color on his is whiskey orange and looks amazing
Mines whiskey orange as well. Love it
I’m happy that you start your videos giving God glory and honor.
I have a 2012 FatBob....I love it...Its my 1 up highway Bike....Have the hard leatherbags and a Batwing Fairing
Love mine 2017 the last dyna
Same, Laguna Orange 🍊
Same here in the UK , 2017 fat Bob 103 🤙👏👏👏
I love it cause of the lights
"Look at those horrible dual headlights!"
*Shows front wheel instead*
I have a fat bob and I love it. 😂
One of the best looking Harley Davidson.
I too love the Fat Bob.
Any reason for not 2012 or below? I'm looking at a 2012. Please and thank you
@@Steven_Will just the styling. The rear fender isn't as cool if you ask me. 2014 is when they changed to an LED setup. Looks awesome. But that's really the only difference. Se engine. Same gear box. 2012 is still a good reliable bike.
Everyone ? The bike looks bad ass.
Are you kidding I think its beautiful. I did like the bobtail rear fender yet they changed it to the less attractive fender like the one in this vid
I own a 2010 Fat Bob and I absolutely love it
Matt Laidlaw said the exact same thing about this Harley. It's also recommended for tall people!
I absolutely love my '09 Fat Bob...lots of compliments...
❤ Cheers
I actually bought mine because of the headlights i thought they looked bad ass. That one does look weird from the rear i will admit though
My first was a 2012 with the 103.Now I have the 2018 .I know the big light has saved my life several times. They can actually see you.
I just got a '13 and I love it. Just need different bars. What would you recommend? I'm 6'2" and getting a sore neck after about 20 miles. Please help and send links
I don’t hate the fat bob, but really I can’t stand the rear fender/lights. Prefer the street bob, and I am a younger rider
Yep, different if fine, as long as it's not stupid.
Get a dyna!!
The fatbob is the only harley that will never get stolen even if you left your keys on the fuel tank.
Savage 😅
lol
Good to know , i need a bike
This coming from just another Breakout showpony
Harley Davidson Silent Vlogger ever owned one?
I picked up a 10 fat bob. I really love the dual headlights. You buy dual led headlights for it. You can literally light up the heavens w them lol. Good vid
Thats a good take on it. Changing it up to get the attention of younger people. The only reason i really even knew about motorcycles was my dad. Now im 22 and have a sportster im building. If my dad hadn't kept one in the garage all the time, i probably wouldnt even be interested because its never really been advertised to me. But keep up the good work. Ive always been a harley guy but your channel has opened my eyes to many other bikes i never wouldve known about
If I got one of these the only thing I’d change would be the headlights, I like everything else about it.
As a Harley owner, I can think of a number of things wrong with the fat Bob. The duel headlights were not on the list. Interesting how the rear fender is reminiscent of the boat Harleys of the 70' s.
I have the 2009, all blacked out in pristine condition with 26k miles
Just bought my first motorcycle, it’s a ‘09 fat bob
Can't someone change the headlights? The 2018 Fatbobs look great.
I love the fat bob.. Very user friendly to us tall people and good handling
I just paid off my roadking and hayabusa and looking for this bike! Love the corvette tail lights and dual headlights
I love the Fat bob too
Personally I love the wheels and headlights
Actually it looks military. I luv that look. With a few tactical side gun racks, it looks crazy intimidating
I bought a 2013 brand new right of the show room floor .
I had so much fun on it , I put 40,000
Miles on it in only 2 years .
Put the 2 into 1 Thunderheader on.....I put the V@H Propipe on....You will love the power...Just get a good tune....I got the Fuelmoto
I've never driven one, but I love how the Fat Bob looks. It's so different from all the other harleys
Have a 2009. Love it. Didn't like the original rear fender so I swapped it for a 2010 Wide Glide fender. Looks great...handles awesome
I really dig the 2018 Fat Bob, specially that front light. Yet I would rather spend my money on the Indian Scout Bobber. IMHO.
First of all, headlights look amazing. The tires could be thinner, doesn't look right on the front. Pegs are fine. Rear tail light looks like crap. Everything else looks good.
The Fatbob is my favourite Harley I don’t know why all of the hate
I just got me 08 fat bob and I love it. I have very limited experience with motorcycle because this is my first bike, but I love how they handle and it feels light to me, so it is not scary to do slow speed maneuvering in parking lots.
man fuck what everyone else thinks i love the look of this.
I have a 16. I dont like the taillight, but when im riding i dont see it. Love the bike. Stage 1 with high rise T bars
i was confused at first.. but i see in the comments I'm not the only one. i have never heard anyone complain about anything you said about the fat bob... bad on corners stock yes... bit sluggish oafish in slower speeds yes... pegs being to short yes. but robot lights? never even heard of that before today
I love this bike. Even the weird headlights look awesome. Of course I'm only 40 so I guess I'm outta touch with the OG HD riders.
Duel lights sexy af
I picked out a 2017 fat bob in denim red iron
Not a HD fan. That said I have no problem with the headlights or tires. Forward controls I despise on any bike. I feel more in control with the standard or adventure touring posture. I'm far too old for the super sport ergos and cruisers in general are just too slow in every category, most importantly handling and braking. Been there, done that, no thank you. I'm more the FZ09 fan, now there's a fun bike. I'm particularly not a fan of all the HD hoopla!!! Again no thanks but if someone really likes the ride of an HD, no problem with that either, I understand. Let's ride!
The robot this and the Roadglide look like is Bender of Futurama. Truthfully it is no more ridiculous than any other Harley.
