You can heat the black series helmet and it fits perfectly. I’ve heard way too many people say it doesn’t work, but it does. Heat the heat and the head slot on the head.
Good to know, thanks! I still think the design needs refinement since fit issues from the box seem pretty universal, but glad to know it's workable. He's in the running for top Vader, but for me also held back by unmasked skin tone and likeness, and my personal nitpick - retro cardback.
The lack of a gap between the bottom rim of the helmet and where the cape rests on the shoulders are the main reason I opted to get the Black Series version and never tracked this down. Now, the articulation might be better on the Figuarts, as well as there being a matte finish on the suit, but that no-neck look on the Figuarts just kills it. They could have handled that better. Mafex may try their hand at this version of Vader and I have a feeling it will be the definitive Vader in this scale. That’s, assuming they go with cloth robes. They know how to do the cape properly already.
Thank you for taking the time to create such a thorough and great review. I am quite enjoying this figure! Definitely subscribing to your channel. Blessings 😃
just came across your channel today! gotta say I love the content, I share much of your appreciation for this wonderfully artistic hobby and have recently began to try and make videos of my own! love to see I'm not the only new person coming into this hobby with a shared perspective! you've earned a sub
I like the figure a lot, but the cape the included is not the cape from their promo images. Tamashii should really not let thing go for PO and then have the actual release be something entirely different
Oh really, how so? I didn't pay too close attention to the promo cape, but pretty happy with this one aside from the fit around the collar and riding up into the helmet.
@@TheArtOfActionFigures Yea, the one they used isn't bad except for what you mentioned and it's also a pain to pose if you just want him standing up with the cape draping over his schoulders. But just check some of the promo pics or display images and you'll see it's a totally different ape that, in my opinion, looks much better than what we got.
Love your review bro,....but dang thats way too much stress to put those wrist pegs under while anding the new hands. A little bit of heat will solve that problem my dude. Cheers
I got it from hobby-genki, but it's out of stock. Lunapark has it, and looks like they'd ship to Canada. Otherwise, there's always aftermarket or more recent preorder for the ANH version.

The wrist pegs are strong with this one! You're right, warming the hands is a good idea.
Great video. I just ordered one after watching it! Do you know if the wired tunic underneath is removable or not?
Nice! I haven't tried removing the tunic, but in theory it's cloth over plastic so at most some glue in the way. I'll check and report back.
Cool. Thanks!
I don't see any obvious glue, but it is threaded through the belt and under the shoulder armor, so could be glued in those spots.
Sure thing. Thanks!@@TheArtOfActionFigures
