"Relax! You're late, alright? My name's Allen, Barry Allen, United States Secret Service." "This is the first time the two characters meet, and Frank pretends to be something he isn't, a C.I.A. agent."
[SPOILERS] This is by far my favourite movie, it’s unpredictable and has perfect moments of serious, funny and just overall heart touching moments, especially when frank finds out his father is dead and his mother has moved on from her past life when one of his main goals was to get his parents back together. Not only that but the brilliant ways he escapes the feds countless times putting me on the edge of my seat smiling and cheering him on in disbelief, although it really sells where you see he has matured and faces the consequences but in a humble way, he realises his joyride is over and his emotions are really captured and you understand how he feels even though not being in his situation. Overall great movie and great acting from Leonardo and Tom Hanks.
I just saw this last night, and I must say it was indeed heartbreaking to see someone go thru a tragedy like this. But to see him, choose a new life of his own at the end is something truly inspiring. Gets me emotional now that I think about it.
Man I don’t remember a Spielberg movie that isn’t successful, underrated or a masterpiece. Only bfg was actually a bad movie. But man catch me if you can is everything, an underrated masterpiece but it is also successful
A lot of people missed the part where his dad keeps tellin his kid "Where u goin Frank? Somewhere EXOTIC? Where u goin tonight!?" This is an extremely powerful C Story of his father's own unfullfilled dreams, its almost psychotic but super sad at the same time
I like the scene when " Hanks finds him in a factory in France! Frank pops up from behind a machine and thousands of checks go up in the air after Hanks shuts down the printer!
This movie is a biography of the first "Influencer". If I had never seen this movie and they added element of the founder of Instagram, I wouldn't put it past it.
SHORT ANSWER: This movie is 100% a Detective Crime Thriller - And the THEME of it is IDENTITY - The type of GENRE comes from the A Story and the THEME of a movie comes from the B Story - The A Story is clear as hell - DETECTIVE TRIES TO CATCH CRIMINAL - the B STORY - is him dealing with his IDENTITY and relationship with parents, COMING OF AGE, adulthood vs child - a THEME is very interwoven into many things that's why its a theme - Nothing at all complicated about the genre of this movie, if people are confused as to what genre this is - it is just that they are used to BAD MOVIES -
Well, we can cross of the biographical part. Apparently, Frank worked with a publicist and made up most if not all of his book. The guy was a scummy sleeze who spent most of his teenage years in prison and only really attempted the cons portrayed in the movie while in his 20s, though far less successfully than what we see. He was known more for petty crimes against people, not corporations, and was of little concern to the FBI.
@@thebicycleman8062 No it is true , the real Frank has been outed .Check out Frank Abagnale fraud story Alan C Logan . The real Frank was nothing more than a petty thief , that stole from people's homes.

I do think that Steven Spielberg’s recent films just aren’t nearly as good as his older films.

@@jaimelannister1797 everybody can burn out. But he's definitly one of the most important filmmakers
The score alone is worthy of it's classic status. So happy more people are watching this masterclass of a film.
One of Speilberg's many great films and DiCaprio is, as always, heartbreakingly superb.
This deserves WAYYYY more views!!
I'd call it a bildungsroman, or coming of age story: Frank's journey from pretending to be an adult to actually growing into adulthood
I've watched this movie around 30 times amazing every time definitely a classic
