I mean, for sure, the odds of digging low mint coins compared to common dates are low, but the more coins you dig... the higher your chances of getting a good one in the mix! Great find!! @@PlugMasterFord I sure did. I will be getting it professionally graded and slabbed once I show it at our club meeting tonight. I also found an 1873 "A" mint Prussian 1 Pfennig this month, worth about $200. Not a 1909 S VDB, but still a keeper!
You really are the luckiest guy alive you have found so many key date coins in 1877 Indian a 1914 D lincoln and a 1909-s VDB Lincoln penny you really are lucky!

Up here on Noble hill there is seven chest of silver hid form the Indians and three are found, one by a farmer, hit it with a tractor. The second one was found by a friend of mine and his brother( set for live) and the third I sat on it when I was a kid, didn't know back then. Told my neighbor about it, years later, went right to the spot and got it. Had 775,000 in gold and silver. Now there is only four left. I know in what area. You want a challenge wheat penny king. Let's try this one. The more the merrier.split that however many times you want, and everybody will be happy.

Like, I believe I have a type II because it's eagle has the 3 stars underneath and since I can't read the date it MAY likely be older than a 1925 version when they started recessing the dates on these coins.
@@garycarter961 I have a video on how to acid etch a silver coin and get the date. Can't remember what episode it is but search Bring Out Detail on Wiped Coins and you can find it. Not worth much without a date, so the etching won't devalue it, of course.
