Thank you for showing natural fabrics. It's all I wear. I wear thin silk, cotton, or linen scarves in the summer. They're great to use as a wrap indoors with the chilly AC.
I used the Jiffy Steamer when I worked at Express in the ‘90’s. It worked better than any steamer I have used, even the steamer closet. Worth every penny! The store had a steamer closet, looked like a shower with doors, it was a big box you could put a large amount of clothes in and steam. I don’t know if they still exist!

We historically have the most back-to-back 100 degree days in July, but they can pop up on random days even until mid-October.

Love your videos. I want to tell you . The other day I went to Zara,Mango, H&M and other Cite Boutiques and could NOT find anything for my age. I’m ove 60 . I’m fashionable But ……….. OMG the manufacture thinks we dyed . They don’t sell anything fashionable for us. Everything I saw was for young girls. Or at least up to 45yrs. And I like to find nice fabrics . I live in Florida and it’s starting to get hot here. These options are beautiful and office friendly. I will be ordering a few. I love mixed fibers and it keeps me cool especially with starting menopause😅.
This was really helpful. I think natural fibers are the way to go in the heat. Getting ready to have my winter sweaters dry cleaned. Can you post what you use at home for dry cleaning. Need to watch your previous video on the Biltmore Estate. Went there about 14 years ago with my husband. Stayed at a B&B though. It is just so beautiful there. You look very pretty in that shade of pink.

104 degrees in California desert today 🥵…😂. I have already found 4 linen options all at Chico’s & Chico’s off the Rack. 3-dresses and one matching pant set. So easy to wash. I also just ordered my BUST A MOVE. It’s a cream that dries to a light powder I apply under the breast line to keep me dry & comfortable. Now I need to grab some of those Walmart T-shirts for my workouts. Thank you Marnie ❤❤❤

I really like Quince also. I have shopped from them in the past and really like their clothes. I personally like more fitted pants with a zipper and button. The pants with elastic tends to make people look larger.

I don’t know which number I like best. You do an excellent job of finding ensembles that are approachable and within financial reach. I usually feel like I fall short when I buy trendy outfits, purses, shoes, drive trendy cars, and even carry a Starbucks cup! But maybe in one of these outfits I’ll feel good in my skin!

I love Quince. I have the dress featured at the beginning of the video in the light blue but need to wear even a knee length half slip under it. It’s very lightweight and that’s great for hot weather.

#4 red dress is beautiful & my opinion is that you look fabulous in it without the slip extender but of course, it’s whatever you or the wearer is comfortable wearing. My youngest daughter is doing some of her senior pictures in July. Her school colors are red & black. Some of her pictures will be on campus & I think this dress would be so cute!

Everyone always talks about how hot it is. But in reality, most people work and live in buildings with air-conditioning so I find it’s still cold in the summer. I can tolerate heat very well so I don’t mind clothes that are more fitted all year round.

The red dress tgat you noted as being "too short"-- you rocked it! You looked fresh and energized and still very tasteful. I understand the purpose of the petticoat extender, but you should feel good about wearing the dress without the petticoat.

Thank you. Difficulty finding cotton clothing has been a pet peeve of mine for years now. Long ago cotton clothing was common. Who wants to wear spandex, nylon, polyester in the summer? May as well wear a sweater because it’s just as bad.
It kind of depends on how it’s made. I have plenty of synthetics in my summer wardrobe too!

A good place for cool long sleeved shirts is LL Bean. They have seersucker shirts, which are 100 percent cotton, and breathable.
Marnie, Your style tips are so helpful. I live in a very hot, humid climate as well. So this is perferct. I do have a request if you can share undergarment styles, that provide support yet cooling, that would be great. In addition how do you maintain the volume in your hair or skincare advice in this humidity? It looks great!

Hi Marnie, In keeping with the theme of fabrics, could you please do a video about the best and softest sheets for those of us neighbors in a hot climate or those of us that are just hot sleepers? I used to always buy 100% Egyptian cotton or cotton sateen and high thread count sheets, but there are so many more options out there now that it's hard to pick a set that I'm happy with. I do NOT like microfiber sheets, either. I can't tell you how many times I've purchased a set of sheets because they felt nice in the package only to find, after washing them many times, that they are scratchy and not soft. As I've gotten older I find that I only want clothes, sheets, towels and basically anything that touches my skin, to be soft. I appreciate you 😊
I absolutely loved this video. I only buy natural fibers and you demonstrated the outfits so beautifully. We are already very hot in Houston. All the pieces you chose are so perfect that I could not find a favorite. IMHO We really need to ditch polyester altogether.
But one great thing about a blend is they wrinkle less!

I bought the pink gauze short set in 2 colors when you shared them but after 1 run through the dryer on low for 15 minutes, it shrunk terribly. I was so sad to have to take them back. I do love the quince pieces!
