This is literally the only place that i could find that explained that i needed a Dishwasher install kit. Thank you so much! This was the most helpful video i have watched in a long time!
I'm building an outdoor sink and the connectors I was sent were incorrect, ordering fittings online seems hit or miss. This makes it so simple! You're a legend!
The cardboard goes on top of the large nut but its only to provide a smooth surface. Plumbers putty would be rolled and set on the flange to seal the sink.
I'm needing to build a temporary outdoor sink while my kitchen undergoes a renovation. Not sure the dishwasher kit will have all the fittings for my garden hose-to-sink setup, but I'll investigate. Great video with priceless information!
Have you noticed any leaking from the spigot if you leave that on but the sink is off? Or do you just turn the spigot on whenever you need to use the sink also genius find on the dishwasher kit being a perfect fit!
I am having a spigot installed in my garage tomorrow and this video makes the most sense! My only concern is that volume is restricted by that adaptor but if all you're doing is washing hands it should be OK. How do you like it? I've seen other videos using Y hoses from a washing machine, then some adaptors. That would allow both sides of the faucet to work, did you need to block one side off?
You could get a Y connector so that you could connect both the sink and a hose. Some sinks have an attachment for the nozzle so you can attach a hose to them as well
Thank you so much for responding!! Great info. I’m converting an old oak cabinet I replaced to a mobile bar and I thought I could add that lil feature without spending a ton. Thx!
What’s that elbow called?? Right at 3 minutes? Sizes?? Thanks thanks thanks! Never mind, found the description and used my reading eyes. Lol thanks dude!
I bought a fiber glass free standing sink from Home Depot that works great in my barn. Of course, for freezing weather, I installed a turn off valve and have to open up the faucet for water to drain.
I didn't cap off the left side. If you turn that handle then water dumps out into the cabinet... you could cap it, I just don't touch it. I could also take off the handle to prevent me from touching it.

Took me days to find this. Key piece of info. What a relief this video exists.
The only instruction ever telling me to get a dishwasher adaptor for the garden faucet. Thank you!
Finally a video with exactly what you need!
You just saved me from losing my mind trying to figure out how to do exactly this. Thanks bud!
Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure this out for two years!
Not only did you teach me about the Home Depot kit, but that HFH has a store! TYSM! 😁
THANK YOU!!! I've been looking for the answer to this problem for a month!
Thank u! This is exactly what I was looking for only this sink is going to be in an off-grid a tiny home
This video was major helpful in informing me what exactly to connect to water in on my outdoor kitchen island. Thanks

Oh by the way I’m doing what you did but I also want warm or hot water so I’m getting a tankless water heater
Needed this thank you so much
Very helpful thanks!! Just what I needed for an outdoor fish cleaning table.
I found a nice sink on the side of the road and now I know what fittings I'll need to attach it to my garden hose. Thanks!

Thank you! Been trying to figure out how to do this. Clear, genuine and so helpful!

Did it have everything you needed?
Thank you. Excellent.

@teasis2500 I didn't have any leaking issues but you could turn the spigot off when needed if you are worried

you rock, thanks dude!
where can I get the adapter
Did you put a sink right UNDER an electrical panel?
Cool, just what I plan on doing in my loft in the garage, converting it into a Dental lab.
Thank you
I put a tee on my mixer and connected both hot and cold to it
Wayne, I'm looking to do this as well. Can you tell me where you got your tee from?
Is there something like a converter so that I can still use my water hose?
You could get a Y connector so that you could connect both the sink and a hose. Some sinks have an attachment for the nozzle so you can attach a hose to them as well

I wonder if the cardboard thing wasn’t a double tape to stick the part to sink ?
I think it was just a spacer to keep the components separated in shipping
Is the bucket used for all the water you used in the sink? Is there a way to dispose it without using a bucket?
Yes it is, if you have a drain you can run a pipe to it.
What’s that elbow called?? Right at 3 minutes? Sizes?? Thanks thanks thanks!

My hose is underneath an electric panel I have never had a problem
Great! Do u have to turn off the tap of the water supply when not in use to prevent water pressure from disconnecting the hose from the sink tap?
I was able to leave it on with no issues.
Where did you buy the cabinet that fits that sink you are installing
I bought a fiber glass free standing sink from Home Depot that works great in my barn. Of course, for freezing weather, I installed a turn off valve and have to open up the faucet for water to drain.
I was expecting you to attach the garden hose not the spigot
You can do either, I just didn't need the garden hose since I was already so close to the spigot.
Did you have to cap off the left side, or anything? What happens if you turn left side on. Nothing? Thx for video!
I didn't cap off the left side. If you turn that handle then water dumps out into the cabinet... you could cap it, I just don't touch it. I could also take off the handle to prevent me from touching it.
having that sink right in front of the electrical panel can be risky.
Teflon tape will solve that dripping. Quick, cheap fix.
Why don't you just put the bucket underneath the garden hose and use your hand? Save the table and the sink
I guess for the same reason we don't just have a spigot 2ft off the ground in the kitchen or bathroom instead of a sink
