The million dollar question.... Why did you bother?
i have a replacement fender... in order to install the new one you have to pull the old one "square" so all the mounting brackets line up. removes the guesswork in where things "should" be

Fast forwarded to the dog feces result. Had me at the welding without eye protection. How lucky the neighbors are to get to look at that hell hole.
it was just to pull the frame/tabs square... the replacement fender is sitting in the back seat 🤪 #squints
