LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you're new! Hope this helps you guys out :)
In today's video I'm going to be optimising and trying to boost the fps of my low end laptop that I featured in my last video ' Play Minecraft on a Low End Laptop' I go through all of the essential Optifine settings you need to be using as well as do Windows Tweaks and performance settings and even run some PC Optimisation software to try and get the best results!
This should hopefully improve the FPS and I'll show How To Fix Lag and Boost FPS in Minecraft on a Low End PC and Low End Laptop
Lets see what results I get using Windows Toolbox, Optimization software from Tweak Central called Azurite and Hone
The specs of the Laptop I'm using:
Dell Inspiron 1564
Intel Core 330M (Intergrated Graphics) 8GB DDR3 500GB SSD
Hope you guys all enjoy this new type of video if you guys could like subscribe and comment that would really mean a lot on a video so the video reaches as many people as possible. Make sure to check out my last videos for context

true i did it i went from 60-80fps to 120-140 fps on my old laptop
I have had 60 fps before and now I have over 100! Thanks!
(For everyone saying that 60 fps is good enough, I only got 60 fps when i was afk and when pvping or just moving, it would go down to 5 fps)
Glad to see that you are making a nice successful series on your channel. I’m really enjoying it fr.
10/10 this method pretty much worked for me, I used to have around 30ish fps and lots of lag spiks but now have around 160 fps now and lag spiks are rare for me. keep up the great work man!!!
i did these steps on my old laptop i can now officially say i can run it at 100 fps. Great video and thanks for the free fps :)

For people who have computers that are really that old, I'd recommend switching to Linux and using Fabric Mods.
bump, waiting for someone to say this, linux mint MATE or XFCE are pretty light and are configured to look and feel like windows out of the box. Puppy Linux or Tiny Linux or Lubuntu could also do the trick as they are designed to be as light as possible. I've never used them though.
My laptop is literally 8 Years old and im only 12
I just installed linux on my 10 year old mac, it now runs games at least 2 times the speed.
@@user-wm2sl7jy7j That one should do you well for a few more years.
@Idot. Definitely, but you may see way better performance with a €15 gpu off ebay, that igpu is really going to bottleneck your system as it's only meant for emergencies as far as I know.
thank you so much for using my suggestions man, I appreciate it
Thank u so much for doin this video, it actually helped me out alot :)
After all of this is done, if you’re fps is still trash, you should put on fullscreen mode and lower the resolution to where you get playable fps and playable resolution at the same time. This almost always works. Anyways, great video NotroDan as always. I would kinda like to see what the fps would be with Lunar Client, but it might overwhelm the system. So thanks!

Could you make a video for low end MacBooks, it would help a load of people in the community, including me! Love you and your uploads man, always love to see a video coming from you.
For people still struggling with the FPS and not seeing any difference I would suggest to see if fast rendering is causing it. I have 2 laptops and on one fast rendering is decreasing my FPS drastically and on the second one it's the other way around.
Interesting I'll try that
I'm pretty sure Fast Render increases the FPS, but when you get better FPS, you are then getting bottlenecked by your CPU and therefore getting lower frames. I recommend experimenting with turning on sky, fog, or smooth lighting (for some reason it may increase FPS when you're on a low-end CPU)
@@gaucovyaero so what ur saying is i gt turn on meant as decrease fps options to increase my fps???

Aside from optifine and windows optimization settings you can also try downloading some more optimization mods, like Vanilla Tweaks, NoFog, Lazydfu, Saturn, FastSuite, FerriteCore, entity culling and etc...
All of these mods change minecraft's RAM and CPU usage so you'll get alot more fps. I have a laptop worse than the one shown in the video and i get about 60-80 fps with them (keeping in mind i mentioned some mods that are only available for 1.8).
for i think 1.16+ you can use sodium, phosphor, indium, indigo, iris(for shaders), memory leak fix, lazydfu, instantly fast, potatopc boost (or something to do with potato), Starlight, etc. the whole sodium line fixed my fps problem when i was at like 4 gb of ddr4 ram and an AMD cpu that was so bad they turned it into a graphics card line and completly stopped its production. I get avg 110 fps now
getting 100 FPS on my old 2015 macbook air, thank you so much
I get around 30-40 fps with my trash laptop but with these setting it might get boosted thanks buddy for the video 👍✌️🙂
You could use a fps boost pvp texture pack because some of them give you very good fps boost. On my low end laptop with similar specs to yours I use the misty v2 texture pack because it looks quite good and gets insane fps. Ps technoblade used to use it!
Open Minecraft optifine and then go to options then go to video settings then performance and then turn off all and then turn on only Fast Render, Render Regions and Smart Animations and then full-screen your minecraft and set Max frames 60 and you will get 60 constantly because I have a low-end laptop which have 3gb ram and Intel HD graphics and Intel Pentium processor and lowing down all settings and doing things that I told I did that in my laptop and it was running 60 FPS constantly on 1.8.9

I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, I JUST KNOW THAT YOUR CLIENT (NATRO CLIENT) IS SUPERB!!!!!!!!!!!
*PSA: Windows Toolbox may be infected with malware.*
(See github issue #32, I can't post link because RUclips is smort and will shadowban my comment if I do so)
Great Video otherwise, just wanted to let people know Windows Toolbox is probably not safe to use at the moment.
Would be interesting to see how Linux would do on this PC, maybe its drivers for the integrated graphics are a bit faster.
That's true, it is actually malware.
To me when u use pvp texture for pvp that can optimise ur fps like 10 fps +
Any suggestions?plz
OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE ADVISE BEFORE I GOT 50 FPS TOPS, NOW 150!!!! THANK YOUUUUUU
There’s a lot that script does way wrong. Don’t use it. For example, it automatically turns Render Regions on, which should not be used for integrated graphics, and since most low-end laptops have integrated graphics, that’s a pretty dumb mistake for them to make.
And if they make a mistake like that, I doubt that script did anything useful because the things it does right and the things it does wrong cancel it out.
Wait render regions reduces fps on integrated graphics?
@@euswxz Uh... Yes? That's why it says that when you hover over it.

No way, I my computer used to struggle using Lunar with Discord VC, I can't tell you how much I tried, but now I can do it with ease.
I'd suggest
Play with Lunar Client and set customized resolution and keep on playing windowed mode and set it into any 16:9 ratio window so it would still having viewing angles such as 1120x630 or 1056x594
Also do disable startup programs in task manager, manually tweak powerplan, and if Win10 have gamedvr you should definetely disable it in regedit since it has quite the effect on performance stability in my observation.
or use forge and get better performance with proper mod usage...
why dont you take this video down?
nice video notro keeo it up
Well a good video. I think I can make use of it.
the most important thing is to play on fullscreen mode
NO windowd mode = more fps (less pixels)
@@1r0nf0x4 no you're wrong when you're on windowed windows renders the game, explorer, desktop , and everything else you have opened which decrease the performance but when you're on fullscreen windows focuses only on the game which gives u better performance. also there is no difference in pixels, if you can deal with less pixels but a performance boost you can lower the resolution
@@Simox17 oh ok, thats fun to know when i play minecraft on my chromebook
On a 2007 iMac, sure, but on a Windows machine, actually, no.
@@iRedMCYT on windows, go to his last video and see the difference
At 2:39 4 Render Distance is nowhere near enough what you'll need for PvP. I would say fast chunk loading plus at least 6 chunks for a somewhat decent experience.
Overall - With the amount of software you used, I kind of ask myself if every single program things different from each other. Because it looked all of them, apart from one, altered the exact same things. There is just so much you can do to optimize.
One other thing that worried me was the 'Disable Services' part. Some programs, like Adobe Creative Cloud need services to properly work. Wouldn't disabling services render Adobe Programs useless?
Also, something I'd like to point out, is that Single-layer forces the CPU and Memory to work harder, as it is processing the mob AI and a bunch of other algorithms. Server do that themselves and then send to the client. Meaning CPU and Memory Usage are likely lower in Multiplayer than Singleplayer.
Yeah, the "debloating" part was just them running through all those scripts withouth checking what kind of packages they remove.
Since most Windows 10 apps are SO dependant in these packages; You might end breaking something useful for you or getting rid of the support for those features entirely.
Also randomly turning off services is a big no-no.
You'd be better off switching some of them to "Manual", since that allows the services to only run as long as a program is currently running.
Man actually 60 fps on that old laptop is a congratulation for you
you should try decreasing the amount of ram you allocate to mc, I once made the mistake of allocating more than 4gb of ram for vanilla minecraft, decreased my fps from 300 to 15, also use a client other than the vanilla one, I recommend lunar, also you should try giving ur laptop more virtual ram, and use a 8x or 16x texture pack don't use the vanilla one, I'd also recommend that you don't just decrease the render distance to 2 or 4, use 8, you can't really notice any changes in smoothness after you pass 60 fps
I have a pretty trash laptop too, but by experimenting I raised my fps from 25~30 to 300~1500

Yo man, what's going? Hope you're doing good.
As a Minecraft veteran who have been watching videos since 1.8, playing pocket edition since 1.11 and playing Java since 1.16, and at the same time being a techie, I'll recommend a few things that you and the people with low end laptops should do. My specs are as bad as yours, but I get 72 fps+ in it.
1. Never play single player, if you want to play single player, make a server that only you know or join one and then play.
2. Use Optifine always or use ForgeOptifine if you want to play with mods but still have performance.
3. Enjoy! XD
