You are 100% correct. The best way to process small/ and Large trees is to start from the top. I get that question all the time. Once its on the ground sometimes you cant even break it up without forcing the blade in the dirt. Great video brother..

Great video. I'm looking at this same machine for my Takeuchi TL12R2.

They’re great units. Built very strong. The blade speed is slower than some of the competitors but their recovery time is very fast. For processing smaller to medium material I think they can clear as fast as any drum mulcher. When it comes to larger material they definitely slow down and don’t make as fine of material. For my application which is mostly honeysuckle and Russian olive it’s a perfect attachment.

I would consider that a brush cutter

That’s a fair statement. When we purchased this unit it was advertised as more of a mulcher at that time. I would agree that generally the term “mulcher” is referring to more of a drum or disk unit. None the less this unit definitely fits in the family of forestry mulching/land clearing.

Vail makes a disc mulcher also. Does require a lot of flow. My bobcat dealer is getting one to demo that I'm probably buying. After looking at AFE and diamond I think the vail is the way to go.

Are you still happy with the vail brush cutter?

I am. It’s a good attachment for clearing underbrush and invasive plants. The unit is built very well and has taken a lot of abuse with no issues. If your needing a very fine/processed mulch you may want to look at a drum mulcher as the final product can sometimes be larger branches or limbs. Overall for what I use it for it has been very good.

@@midstatelandsolutionsllc1515 Thanks for the feedback. Im looking to add a good brush cutter. Their are tons of brands online and almost no long term reviews. How is it in vines, any issues with them wrapping around the spindle?
